    If you want to become fluent, it is essential to practice as many sentence patterns as possible. For example, you can use the sentence 'I want you to help me carry this heavy bag because you are strong enough to do it.

    Hey English learners! 🌟 I hope you're all doing well today. I'm planning to create an international English group where people can connect with each other. If you're interested, please comment your approval below. I'll be waiting for your reply either in a second video or in the comments section. Perhaps, I'll share our WhatsApp group there. Also, I absolutely love watching 🎉 videos on KZread; they're incredibly helpful for me. How about you guys? Do you find them helpful too? Let me know! 😊

    Sounds like a great idea. I am just studying Japanese and have acquired basic vocabulary (JLPT N4) and grammar. But I hardly understand anything of the YouGlish videos. How can I use YouGlish to reach a higher level? Many thanks.

    I learn English separate words just doesn't stuck in my head I think it's impossible to learn this way for me. but it's f****** boring speaking on basic stuff. you know, and I actually start to speak when I get enough vocabulary and ideas/structures/ chunks to speak about topics I interested I'm not fluent yet but I'm fluent like in some point if it does make sense

    I’m not sure if I get what you meant, but I think her advice is for people who only learned vocabulary yet cannot speak well because they dont practice sentence structures or chunks. What you said is in accordance with her advice actually; vocabulary, sentence structure , and chunks need to come together

    Amount of any language is enormous and if we did not start the language from our childhood we will get smaller amount of language, why... Explanation is to understand what is short term memory and long term memory. We use short term memory for phone number but for languages we need long term memory which can't be influenced ..

    Japanese teachers teach sentence patterns to people learning Japanese. It's kind of helpful. It's hard to remember all the patterns 😂😂. I guess I don't know the alternative (I'm a native English speaker). How do they normally teach English if they don't teach sentence patterns?

  • @MaddiEnglish

    @MaddiEnglish

    I believe Japanese is a quite flexible language and the word order doesn’t really matter unlike English, so I’m not sure what they teach patterns for… But hearing the same expression in many different situations should help you say similar phrases in any languages!

    @@paulwalther5237 Could you tell me some of the patterns you know? I would be happy to help Japanese learners too, but I have no idea how they teach 😂 For example, there are many ways to say “I’m going to a cafe with my mother.” Kyou hahato kafeni ikimasu, Hahato kyou kafeni ikimasu, Kafeni kyou hahato ikimasu, Kafeni hahato kyou ikimasu, etc. As long as the verb comes at the end, they all sound okay.
