The Gaurdian armor and defender gear is ridiculously overpowered starting gear, It was meant for veterans who lost their saves for whatever reason to speedrun back up to master rank. I highly recommend a playthrough where you don't use it. You'll learn how crafting works, set bonuses, perks, stats, upgrading equipment, decorations, buffs/debuffs, elements and resistances, affinity and elderseal works. The armor and weapons you used make 99% of the game irrelevant which sucks, especially if you're a new player

I'd say the weapon is the most op part cuz once you beat nergi and get defender v it gets white sharpness way earlier than you should. The armour has really good defence but has no offense skills only good skills are health boost and divine blessing

@@shoobzy3431yea but both the weapon and armour fall off once you hit MR. The weapon falls off cause blast isn’t the best element and the armour just doesn’t have enough defence compared to MR gear

Using the guardian/defender set has completely ruined your first play. I know you maybe weren't fully aware, but it basically turns the game into easy mode. its so overpowered because it was made for replayers to quickly get through the beginning of the game and the annoying parts, and then you switch to something else as you progress a bit. Theres a reason some fights allow up to 50 minutes to beat ha ha

I didn't start using defender armor till like high rank since they almost have the same stats and just didn't wanna grind the gear because I had no time I noticed how op it was at the start because I barely took damage so I took it off

I’m so upset that he is using that armor and weapon, it 10x funnier when you play it right

Part of the fun of the game is making builds, checking new weapons and armour, grinding for what’s you think is best or the coolest… I started decided I’ll not gonna use defender set, and oh my god I’m so glad. It’s all ugly and the sword gets boring anyways. This set takes out a huge part of the game. But, I’m glad you played it, I hope you liked it. I recommend going through iceborn, it’s like a second, huge part of the game. And not just until credits, because they are there deceivingly early, but check out all of the bosses. Check out multiplayer too cuz grinding after you kill it solo is just much more convenient.

The way he pronounces all the names (very wrongly btw lmao) is just so comical and makes the video better

Great video… except for one specific point: 15:35 hunters have basically all agreed on not attacking best boi. Also here’s a tip when a monster leave the area, especially mister B-52 bomber over there, you can wait a bit for the next cycle and it’s probably going to show up again. second piece of advice: You can have layered armor. It's literally cosmetic where you put another armor appearance over the armor that you are wearing.

The cut scenes are so annoying in this game.

personally when i played this game i used the glaive with the bug thing shi was OP and pretty fast too, all i had to do was upgrade it like 2 times and it was good, the last thing that makes it op is the bug, if u hit a perosn with it gives u a bunch of buffs

Great sword will hook you for real! I think the defender gear is fine if you intend to play iceborne and end game. Saves a bunch of farming time in low and high rank, grinding for gear that will become obsolete as soon as you get into master rank and none of those monsters really matter anyways. All the good stuff comes from elder dragons. If you begin to struggle, find something with higher defense and use SOS to farm endgame for gear. I started playing a few weeks ago and played solo up to Barioth with pretty much all maxed defender stuff and he was a real wall. Thats when I learned how to SOS lol. DIdn't learn wall banging until about 150 hrs in. smh...what a mistake that was

Man good video but it just sucks that you used the guardian armor throughout the whole thing, ruins the experience honestly and you might think it’s easy but really you just used overpowered stuff, no hate just a thought (For someone who might say “it’s in the game for a reason” yeah I know it is, but it literally tells you in game that the reason is so that people can get through the game quicker AFTER they’ve beaten it for real)

I doubt he would. Would be really cool to see how good he actually is without the guardian safety net since it's literally useless in master rank. Bro didn't even grind for materials. I'd actually love to see him take the game s little more seriously tho. My guy out here thinking the game is child's play because of the defender sets. Do ice borne 100 days next. No defender gear is gonna save you this time fren.

Alright I’ve watched enough of your 100 days videos, and Monster Hunter is so close to my heart, I gotta call you out here. So many things you did in this run limited your new player experience and gives a TERRIBLE representation of what this game is like to new players. 1.) Guardian Armor and weapons. These are for veterans to power level through base game and get to Iceborne. It’s better than 99% of the gear in base game and you seriously cucked yourself out of the amazing experience of grinding armor/weapon sets that suit your weapon playstyle. 2.) Weapons. You never got a single fully charged attack off this WHOLE VIDEO, not to mention the 3-hit combo that does massive damage if it’s charged properly. This to me shows that you didn’t even care to look at the moveset tutorials or practice for 5 minutes. 3.) The Bazelgeuse doesn’t leave the map when you are fighting it; it flies back to its perch at the tip of the map which you can follow and punish. Again, if you cared even a little bit about this game or your videos you’d have given chase once or looked it up on google. This whole video reeks of “I just did it for the views and money” and now that I think of it, most of your other 100 Days videos have this same exact rushed feel. Do better bro

Lmao the game isnt "easy" you just used the OP gear. Guardian weps and gear is meant for veteran players rushing to endgame or master rank/Ice borne or people that got their saves lost somehow. If you want the real experience dont use any guardian gear. Using guardian gear WILL build VERY bad habits smd is gonna give you a wromg perception of the game. A whole lot of my friends got attached to the guardian set and made it "their thing" one of them going as far as to change his info to "The Guardian Slayer Master" After xenojiva? All of them dropped the game because master rank was "impossible" like the very first quest wirh banbaro they were raging not one of them stuck around for iceborne which is really sad and just shows how bad they actually were at the game. Youre not actually good sorry to say this.
