How fast can I beat Monster Hunter: World using the Greatsword? | Personal Best

I've always had the idea in the back of my mind to complete some of my favorite games as fast as possible, but with some rulesets being rather tight or restrictive, I've held off on even attempting speedrunning. However, this doesn't mean I couldn't just do things my way and have a more relaxed experience.
This is "Personal Best", a series where I try to complete my favorite games as fast as I can, in whatever category I choose or otherwise come up with. The goal isn't to necessarily be the best amongst others, but to be the best that I can be for myself. Although, if I do get comfortable enough, I may try an actual speedrun.
In this first episode of Personal Best, I try to beat Monster Hunter: World as fast as I can, using only the Greatsword.
The mods I am using are as follows:
Performance Booster
Cutscene Skip
No Rain just for the sake of clarity and performance
and an external layered armour editor called Costume Armour, although I couldn't get it to work during the stream despite me successfully testing it off-stream multiple times.
Also, when this speedrun started, I didn't think to put myself into my own private session, and being in an open online session- according to the ruleset on speedrun.com- is against the rules. So, unfortunately, I don't think I won't be able to submit this as an actual speedrun.

Interwsting little series idea mate, i bet 10pounds (im british sue me) your going to beat the game quickest with either sns or cb, or who knows hunting horn. You posted this just as i killed chameleos in dos so thanks for a celebration watch lol. Awesome vid like always my guy!!!!

I literally just started playing again a day or so ago and back in the pit of dispare for jewel grinding for my build to fight fatalis and this popped up in my feed
"I'm lucky if I finish the base game in an hour." Man, i'm lucky to finish this game at all. You are a great player. Very much enjoyed the video.

Yeah, and I plan on trying speedruns for other games in the future too.
I wonder to know why you are not tenderizing the enemy especially anjanaths legs they are super tough and you are missing 20-30% pf the damage because of that

It’s a very buggy mod that seems like it would just get frustrating after a while. So I probably won’t do a randomizer.

why are you clutch clawing to the monster and then jumping off?

When a monster goes into that stance, it’s called a Clutch Claw Stagger, or a “clagger”. It lasts for six seconds, but when you hit it with your claw, that timer resets. So I was grappling to reset that timer and use that 6 second opening to deal damage.
