    It is interesting that you use multi quantity listings. I LOVE your sales videos. Because of how transparent you are, I have started to think about you when pricing and I am getting more $. I am also asking just a little more for shipping and being even more selective. I really appreciate how you do your sales views. You make it attainable to think bigger!

I have suffered depression for ten years and only last week I was able to get in the garage and sort out all the things that were just thrown in the garage while I was sick and I decided to keep them and work on sorting them and selling them online not only it will help earn some income while depressed but will also be a therapy to keep my mind occupied when it starts to fire up uncontrollably. Hi Ashley-welcome back! Got a question, tip and comment for you- - Knowing that you are going to run (essentially) a "perpetual" sale; do you initially price your items higher to account for both the sale markdown % and offers? - For designer items; try sending them into either ThredUp LUXE or the RealReal. I've had success with both platforms. The RealReal will also send a rep to pick up items from your home (not sure if it's limited to only large metropolitan areas; I'm in DFW TX) so no need to even box and send. ThredUp LUXE requires that you request a label from them (it's a different branch of the regular ThredUp site)...just google it to get to the right place to email them. - Mind.Blown. when I watched your video where you said you were really turned off by starting KZread and social media....you are STUNNING! Beautiful inside and out. Just wanted you to know that...in case you didn't already :)

    We use Posh too, but it is definitely not in the same universe as eBay in terms of customer reach. Plus some of their policies are not seller friendly. We do a very small portion of our business on that platform. eBay is still the giant in my opinion, at least for general merchandise. I'm sure the behemoth Amazon does a fantastic business in some product categories.

    I just sold a little light sweater that I've had listed for about 8 months. It was a very pretty, interesting knit. I also just purged a bunch of stuff that have been just immobile for over a year. Other KZread selling folks swear that if it's listed, just leave it. You've already invested time, space, etc. It will sell sooner or later. I'd love to believe that, but I also listen to those that do the surveys: what brands used to sell but don't now. And I go with my gut. I've been buying/selling on ebay since 1998, and it's astounding the changes. It's vital to know when to fish, and when to cut that bait. :) And I really enjoy your videos because it encourages me to not discount a whole brand, like J. Crew - look for the unusual or the stylish/pretty. That sells. So, thanks!

    Hi I love your channel. You said you do multi quantity listings but I noticed a lot of the stuff you sell are items that you purchase at thrift stores, estate sales, and yard sales. It's individual items how do multi listings work on eBay when you only have one item to sell and does it cost more or is it different than listing with a fixed price, I'm I'm just not understanding the advantage or how you would do it with only 1 item thank you

  • @ozma199

    @ozma199

    She means that she has a lot of listings that are multi-quantity....different from the sales that she's showing in the video. You don't do it with one item-only when you have more than one to sell-usually new items. Like this: www.ebay.com/itm/352829898420

  • @sellwithrhonda

    @sellwithrhonda

    4 жыл бұрын

    Turn on your Out of Stock option (which suspends your listing when it goes to 0 in stock instead of ending it), then you list your item as multi-quantity with 2, then as soon as you list it, go and change your quantity to 1 (eBay allows you to change it manually). That way, when the 1 sells, your listing goes to 0 and it sits and waits for you to reset to 1 (if your item is returned). That way you keep all the watchers and views. Typically this would be used for items that are the same and you have multiples of it, then sell all but will replenish your stock at some point and don't want to relist the item and lose your watchers). I've never done this with one-off items but it's a great idea if you get a lot of returns.

    If you aren't familiar with Pirate Ship for shipping, look into it. I sent a 3 lb package from the east coast to west coast for 11 dollars. A blanket shouldn't cost $15 to ship, that's crazy. Also fedex tends to be cheaper for heavier or larger packages although I don't like them as much. I'm sure you know all of this already but I still can't imagine a blanket being $15 😣

    I live in Virginia and sent it to California. So literally coast to coast haha. The smaller you can get the box size, the better

    It's great to have you back! I've learned so much about selling on ebay from you, so I'm glad you were able to take a break and be with your family, but I'm also glad you're back :) I'd love to hear a video from you regarding how to come back from a break from ebay. What kinds of things do you do to get back in your groove with sales on ebay?

    Starting out on EBay. How much inventory and sales do you need to make it profitable to open an EBay store?

  • @monikamir1

    Marlene Kossis it depends on the products you are going to sell. Every business is different. For me for example , it was time to open an EBay store when I decided to have at least over 100 items (mostly fashion and vintage ceramic) with a minimum average profit margen per item of $20. I have a basic store with around 250-300 items; and I do it only part time.

    @Ashley Can you please go over the multiple listing thing? I heard something about that a long time ago, but didn't understand it then & I don't understand it now. Lol I don't expect your personal time on it, but maybe you could put out a brief video on how that works?! Thanks sweetie!!!!

    Men's vintage classic wear (70s & 80's mostly) from the likes of Valentino, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Christian Lacroix, Nina Ricci, Escada, Oscar de la Renta, Versace, etc do not sell for much. I guess all women's garments would fetch high dollar sales. Kind regards,

    Hi - Can you tell me how long you hold an inventory item before you offer a sale on it? From an earlier video you said you sell about 25% of your inventory a month; so it takes on avg. about 4 months for an item to sell for you? Thanks

  • @michaelthomas989

    I mean it takes 4 months to clear your current inventory on avg.
