I appreciate the encouragement and these wonderful videos. I only watched your videos to launch a small business. It has been almost a month. When we receive the money from the first item sold, is there anything we should know about charges? Since the first item I sold was supposed to get $3.68$, but I only received $0.14$. Are you able to determine why that is the case?

I've been finding a lot of success from not having a best offer. if someone watches i generally send a offer to them with no counter offer that way i sort of get what i was for it, so far having a good sell through rate also. i find your videos so helpful. my best seller is DVDs of coarse haha.

I do this also. I like to be in control, haha. A set price and I do a few dollars discount for send offers with no counter offer. No time wasting, they can either accept my offer or move on.

promoted listing is one of your best tips! (at 3% also)I listed something a few weeks back and used the AI description, it was amazing!! I'm going to try a 90 day challenge using your videos as motivation. i wonder if that might be an interesting challenge topic for your videos? like, this week, list something broken(i've sold several things broken now with good description ) next week, list a DVD or Game, next week something vintage or clothing? see if it sparks an interest in a field to be interested in researching. these videos are always great for reminders, ideas and motivation Cheers!

I use a set of cheap table top kitchen scales and they do the trick for me!

Does that mean I can’t sell my husband’s programs from the 1971 tour British And Irish lions. He has loads for programs from the 1st test and all the other ones even the Wednesday games.

Nope just an awareness of postage cost prior to listing for an accurate price.

Do you test the DVD's? Do you use a DVD cleaner? Have you received negative feedback from disgruntled DVD buyers about the condition of the DVD?

If a DVD has no scratches it will play fine. Light scratches are OK too. As long as you put it all in the description, you're golden. I sold The Wiggles season 2, it had some light scratches and it still sold for $70 and no complaints.

I'm wondering if you could show how to make variation listings for something like trading cards in 2024. Also if you'd be willing to include how you do shipping for it as well (not as helpful since I'm in the US but still helpful to have a point of reference). I've tried researching these two things and I keep just messing up and making mistakes that cost me money.

Shoot eBay a message on customer support and they’ll be able to do it for you on the backend

if its through Australia Post My Business there is a tick box to say you want to pass on the tracking number. If it's the envelope in the video I used as an example you can add tracking on the mobile app by scanning the tracking numbers on the orders page. Hope that helps! Tracking is super important on eBay!

you'll get a notification of payment and eBay will advise you to ship the product providing you with the buyers address details

Free shipping is just a marketing tactic. You’re never out of pocket. It’s either $20 + $10 or $30 free postage. I hope that makes sense

I don’t know how anybody profits from doing this. Those margins vanish pretty quickly with the 13% ebay fees + 10% GST + shipping + packaging.

Seriously though, why would anyone buy off eBay these days other than for collectibles and the odd dvd ? Majority of the stuff on there is imported from China then an ebayer adds their $ ... one word TEMU i give eBay 5 years before they significantly drop off the radar... people selling on eBay are leaving in droves as its not the cash cow it once was

BEWARE ANYONE considering selling on eBay now. eBay is charging sellers as part of its sales fee the percentage on sales tax a buyer of your item(s) paid. I just discovered this on a sale of golf irons. eBay added the Tennessee sales tax to the price I charged (I sold paying for shipping as well) 13.25% (which eBay doesn't inform you of or I wouldn't have sold these). It charged me a total of $93.58 an actual 14.51% not the 13.25% it disclosed after the sale. I am personally done with eBay. I have spent tens of thousands of 4 since it started. Not another penny from me. This is based on ethical principles. eBay has ZERO Ethical standards and too low to respond to my complaint of this covert rip off. Sell elsewhere there's plenty of options!
