    Thank you so much for the motivation to start selling. I just picked up on the side of the road a pair of brand new boots that retail for $350 I will be listing them tonight in hope of selling.

    I like the idea behind this and all the youtubers who do it, although I don't feel as though this will truly represent starting out, given your reach and the 'visibility' of your new store and items on here (youtube/socials). It's easy for viewers to go and "view" all your listings which will jack the numbers and even make purchases to skew the figures. I think this first episode will be the most accurate representation, it just depends how many episodes you get done before posting this first one. Say you film 3 eps, then start publishing them, you may notice the skewed numbers at the 4th episode. Will be interesting to know the detail and see any potential change.

    The add % was interesting. I was watching an American Ebayer and they said they always do around 5% but if the item has no competition (rare item) then they do not. They said they accidentally turned off the auto-add function and it appeared to affect their listings. I would love a video with more information on this Ebay function. Keep up the good work.

    Can you go more in to depth on how you list an item. From point A to listed. Everyone shows to source and organize. Why the spreed sheet? Do you keep your receipts? Stuff like that will help sellers.

    I tried to do this once on my channel, but i lost concentration 🤣 I am doing a few year long projects/challenges but Im filming them editing them and will publish them next year after ive finished the challenge. Im worried about youtube/ebay viewers skewing the results (no offence to them) and keeping it secret.

    Im finding it really hard to know WHAT to look for. Where do I start my research on items that will sell well. You picked up that Surf Rescue shirt KNOWING it was an interesting find. How did you know that? How are you figuring out all these shoes are worth a good price? I can't just scan every shoe and look up every shoe brand out there, surely? Do you have a method of research?

  • @TheAussieFlipper

    @TheAussieFlipper

    5 ай бұрын

    Reps and reps of searching and learning, there’s no quick way to learn. I’ve scanned 10’s of thousands of items it feels like over the last 4 years. You build up a knowledge bank and the sourcing becomes automatic over time, when you’re just starting out you just have to keep searching sold comps on eBay to get an understand

  • @TheAussieFlipper

    @TheAussieFlipper

    As for shoes running shoes have a brand name and model on the shoe usually so I type that in but again over time you just know the shoes good or not and a lot of the time you’re picking based on condition more than anything

    After watching your KZread channel for about 2 months. I was dabbling in eBay but I thought I will pay for an eBay subscription and go for it since the 1st of Feb I've listed 269 items not expecting to make a sale for a while as I'm building it up and all of a sudden cherrr chinggg on the 16th I sold something. Fab. Not a great amount of money but a sales a sale. Will keep listing as I've about 1,000 listings to put up. It can be mundane but hopefully by month 3 I will start seeing some progress. Exciting days ahead for sure. Keep on making content buddy. Hopefully in a year or so I can chuck in my delivery job. All my best. Leo.
