This week Edward heads out to do the first official UK review of the Kizilkaya RT-25 at local ground Brandon Wood. The Kizilkaya RT25 is a copy of the infamous Beretta DT11, let’s see if it’s as good

My name is Michael and I reside in the USA, I purchased a RT25 about two months ago and it has been tainted experience for me. I have the ‘basic’ model which I paid $4700 (£3700) and it has had a few issues. The Extended chokes and the removable trigger group are a few. I had to send the gun to the importer here in the U.S. to fix the issue of trying to remove the trigger group and replace the chokes. My gun does not balance on the hinge pin (barrel heavy) and the ‘drop’ on the Comb is too high (43mm vs 35mm for a stock with an adjustable comb). The wood to metal finish is fine but the recoil pad was not fitted to the stock, I am going to replace it with a Pachmayr SC100. On a ‘positive’ note I like the ‘kerstan’ cross-bolt lock up and the trigger is a pleasant 3.75 # with no take-up. In summary, I bought this firearm with my budget in mind as a DT11 is not reality for me!
Great videos you are turning out. I learned a long time ago, trying to save a nickel on what you really want will never make you happy. If you really want a DT11 I would pay up for the real thing.
I picked them up at the show. Lovey finish but very dated the chokes are the old Mobil choke copies. Also the lockup gives a bit of a ringing sound. I’ve currently got a DT 11 black which is for sale and I feels so much more refined for a 2017 gun. But equally if they address these issues and took it down to 4k they’d have a great selling gun. Just not worth the money, as you walk out of the shop you’re already losing 20% before you’ve fired it 😊
Excellent video, thank you.
Looks a decent gun to be fair as long as it’s reliable. Time will tell!
Another cracking video, seems to be a lot more turkish manufacturers coming into the UK at a very competitive price range for your avrage shooter like myself.
I'd be worried about resale value, I think I'd go for a used DT11

Absolutely freekin' agree. Berettas have been around 500 years. How long will Kizilkaya last?

This is something discussed in the video. Do you go with a brand new gun to the market under manufacture warranty or do you go for a DT11 that has been well used

It’s in the budget price point people buying this will be buying it as a first or 2nd gun

@@dave_724 I’m not so at the price point there are a lot of cheaper maybe better guns from more established gun makers, Beretta, Ceaser G, browning, it would be my guess these guns would hold there resale better and have tried and tested for many years,

Spot on with the video mate. Looks a beauty of a gun for the price. And the legend looking in form aswell.

Good old Mr Brammers 💪🏼
Be patient, carry cash and you’ll find a good DT11 for similar money. Equally a 694 or Ultra XS Pro for a saving. There’s a lot of alternatives from top brands with good reputations before I’d chance my arm on one of these. Best of luck to anyone that does!
I personally know a few that went down this path, started out ok, then issues developed. Misfires, quality problems, guns locking up, top lever issues. Getting them fixed was a complete headache all bar one purchased used DT11’s which have been faultless (pre 2018 guns) the other moved over to a used K gun. Maybe they were just unlucky who knows?
I was fortunate enough to shoot those samples at an open day last week. I have to say I was impressed, I never missed a target, which is unusual for me. It’s still a chunk of money but if you are not bothered about brand image you’ll struggle to find a better handling clay cruncher

Very much agree with you
Good Day I've notice no re-coil when you shot amazing. This gun is good for a starter gun maybe.
I'd be amazed if they sell one
How does it stack up against the fake Perazzi (yildis pro)?
I’ll stick with my DT11 personally, you can buy a good used ‘real’ DT11 for the new price. Not sure of the copyright situation but I’d be anticipating a stiff letter from Beretta if I were them?

No issue regarding copyright as that action has been around for a long time and used by many others.

Yes I do understand that, but companies like Beretta invest many £000’s in product development and I personally would not support any company that basically takahes advantage of this and rips other companies off. Each to their own and I’m sure these will sell regardless.Good video by the way as always 🙂
Another killer video looks a very interesting good tbh

Not sure if you can answer as I’m getting conflicting answers, I’m in the UK and would like to get the beretta 690 black edition, I’ve had a gun shop tell me I can order a new one and I’ve had others say it’s discontinued. Do you know either way?

Why do you consider the DT 11 infamous?
Turkish delight
Excellent video! What to say.. seems like a real deal! The only remaining thing is the reliability! I have gambled couple of times with unproven things in my life, and mostly I was wrong! So, I do have a conservative opinion now ... but if in a 5 years time.. no one says that thing is a crap... I might get one! - 2nd hand! ;-) Regards from Belgrade! I really like the videos! ;-)

On the up side you would be covered by a good warranty from new
Why copy, they obviously have the means to make there own.

The DT11 is a proven, well made and bomb proof clay gun. It’s actually a complement to gun that someone would want to make something similar
I dont think infamous is quite the right word...
Still out of the budget of 99% of people i know
5000? For a Turkish gun without any reputation to back it? Hard pass.
@roymartingunsmiths814

You could say this about any new gun released. Look at the issues browning had with the 725 when it first came out. Reputation behind the name but the early guns were not right

@@roymartingunsmiths814 But the 725 wasnt anywhere near 5000 at launch and BWM sorted out the issues quickly and FOC. Dont know if you could say the same about these and highland outdoors don't repair or service guns out of warranty. The plus to these is they look alot better than a DT with wood grade and they don't have the ugly blue/yellow line on the action like the DT's.
