Hell, I just watched a video of my male counterpart from another country successfully swap out the engine mounts in a Focus --- but this time, I'm not wondering why there is clear liquid pouring out of my eyeballs, or why my boyfriend dumped me, or what life would be like if I had just been born a man, because - damn it all to Hell, I shouldn't have to be doing this crazy f-ing Ford Focus repair all by my girlish lonesome!!! ....BUT ALAS I AM LAUGHING AND READY TO BEAT MY FORD FOCUS BACK TO INTO ITS FINE BUTTERY SELF!!! Hey James, got this from Halfords. It’s quite old now but they’ve got an updated version for sale. 😁

I did the hydraulic rubber engine mount on my 2006 Focus 2.0 duratec and had the same look on my face when.I turned over my engine, lovely and smooth motor, no cabin vibes, need to do my gearbox mount at some point. What I noticed was I had to slightly move back the engine just a touch because when I took the mount off and offered the new one back up the marks on the chassis rails where the old mount sat, it didn't quite line up and I made a mental note of the distance between the rad and nearest bit of the engine, which was too close, The bolt holes in the mount are slightly slotted to allow some fore and aft movement. Just worth double checking everything is lined up and nothing fouling anywhere.

Fantastic response full of great information. I’ll pop the bonnet and double check everything as we speak. I did notice a lot of ‘wiggle room’ with the mounts before torquing down so that makes sense. Thanks for the comment! 😁

@@xiolage Just double check where the mount sits on the chassis rails, you shouldn't be able to see any clean marks where the old one sat. You should be good if your new mount is sat where your old one was. I just noticed my engine moved forward a touch and I had to move it back slightly.

Yep just double checked and all seems well, double checked clearances around the engine as far as I could see and again all good. 😁

Did you noticed any improvement after replacing The motor mount unde The battery vs replacing only The right side one?

Hi mate, they’re from AutoBeam. It’s easier for you to select your vehicle and bulb type yourself as that’ll make sure you get the right ones. 😊
