I hv one massive question. Does alot improve the aliasing in the game? I see lots of shimmering/ jagged edges around objects as I move around. In 2 n 3 especially.

​ @DEMONICFIEND JR It's an issue caused by 'Streamlined Weapon Loadouts'. Try unbinding following keyboard buttons: 'F1', 'F2', 'F3', 'F4', 'Mouse Scroll Up', 'Mouse Scroll Down' and 'X'.

The modders added the dlc as it was, bioware would have been expected to remaster it as well. I assume it went something like this they planned for new levels and baddies as well as a visual overhaul and such it would have taken them longer. The difference between professional and "no experience" is expectations, and marketing they have to counterbalance how much time and money they spend on this versus other productions in the works, modders do not.

Plus, the modders only had to make it work on PC, BioWare would have to also make it work on Xbox and PlayStation. The PC version works because the compiled code uses the x86 instruction set which has been the same on PCs since the 90s but the XB360 and PS3 used different instruction sets that would not be able to run on XBOne or PS4 hardware without the use of an in-game emulation engine, so just lifting the original compiled code and then upscaling textures was not an option for them. For BW to add this DLC would have required a full rewrite so that the DLC could be compiled against the new hardware.

That early recruitment mod seems really nice. It always felt annoying to me that you basically have to do everything possible before recruiting Legion if you want to save the Normandy crew from the collectors meaning that he was only available for the end of the game.

Like for real. There is a specific pattern of missions which I learned trough multiple playthroughs, when you do all missions almost in order, doing some crew member's missions on one planet in one go, never, and I repeat, NEVER go on some random shit ass planet as a drop off to do some irrelevant mission and shoot some meat, because it will screw your team (which it did in my first and original playtrough), grind resources by stupid probe mini-game to upgrade your ship, get Legion, bring him to Tali's mission (also lol, do that every time), your team gets abducted, you got one "free" landing, use it to complete Legion's mission, then save the day, everyone's alive, Collector's base goes BOOM (or not, if you are stupi... I mean, redpilled), and only after saving the world (again) you can do the DLCs. That's honestly annoying and I do that every time.

Agree. That's why Skyrim is still kicking after all these years. The game is good but it is modders that have made it great. Even Todd Howard recently named off specific mods used in Skyrim that he loves. It was nice to see him give credit to modders for their work. Now if h'e only stop with the updates that break the mods lol.

Its been 10 years. If you didnt know how controversial the ending of ME3 is then idk what to tell you. Imo Shepard should have gotten a happy ending after already dying in ME2.

well the original version of the game had no structure like that it was all 10 dossiers given to you at the beginning of the game and you could recruit anyone in any order you wanted. a lot more freedom. it wasnt until later in development they decided it would be better to make the story into a structured act with act 1 being recruit 4 squad mates (6 with DLC), horizon, recruit 3 more, collector ship count down after five missions, reaper iff, legion loyalty, end game. while I like the idea of total freedom and free reign to recruit anyone at your own pace I see why they decided against it.

Oh man, I can only imagine! I loved Fallout: Tale of Two Wastelands so much! Combining Fallout 3 and New Vegas made the whole so much better to me!

This is the first ever Mass Effect mod compilation video I love! Also the idea of bringing a drell terminally ill with a respiratory disease into a plague zone cracked me up, how horrid do you have to be to do that to poor thane 🤣

And inconsistent, weapons swapped to thermal clips after Sovereign attacked the citadel, the tech didn't even exist pre-Citadel. I can understand having cooling tech post ME1 because not everyone would make the switch, but thermal clips pre ME2? That's a no from me Unless you mean redesign the weapons to also use the overheat mechanic, but then you have problems with mods adding weapons that could very well be OP or underperform compared to their alternate variants, or maybe that specific weapon doesn't exist before the events of 2 or 3

@@spacejesus6581 None of the ported weapons use thermal clips. That ability does not exist in LE1 and I ain't magic so I couldn't just create it ex nihilo. It's a model swap and little else.

It amazes me to see how a remastered version can graphically be improved even further. It says a lot about undiscovered talent in the modding community!

I'm so glad I got the LE for PC. The mods have made the whole trilogy SO much more replayable. Easily makes the whole package feel so much more valuable than what I bought it for. And I greatly appreciate all of these modders' work for it. They're all MVPs.

"Audemus' Happy Ending Mod" was super cathartic for me. I had resented ME3 for a decade and recently came back to replay the entire series to see if I'd still be mad. Then someone mentioned mods, so I tried them. I'll never replay this series without mods anymore. I felt closure and satisfaction from the happy ending and even if it's not canon, it doesn't matter to me. Great choices btw!

seeing the ending again makes me sentimental again lmao, i loved so much playing this game, got so much feelings for it, it's incredible the world building the team behind made

The moment I saw that you took into account the Normandy crew searching for Shepard somewhere on the broken surface of the Citadel, AND finding his badly battered body, you had my full and unqualified support for this re-vamping of MELE !! I love that concept, mainly because I've always viewed the final two hours of volume 3 as a nearly blatant betrayal of us ME fans by BioWare's final dev team. They were far more concerned with closing up shop, turning off the lights, & locking up after themselves as they left the place, then with giving us the product we were all waiting for: a truly satisfying ending to the Mass Effect saga. Your proposed version of events, wherein the SR2 Normandy rides off into the greater starfield patterns of the Milky Way is the best of all options. Thank you, I for one appreciate your having crafted this video.

Reconfigured my PC version to match your recommendations and playing it along side of an unmodded PS4 version. Amazing difference. As a huge Mass Effect fan, it was like breathing new life into an old friend. Great job!

Great video! I end up getting paralyzed by choice.. I download tons of mods and then never end up playing the game. I'm looking forward to Audemus' re-creation of the Citadel Epilogue Mod. To me, it's essential to the experience. I hope it has the Ultimate Party options when it's released.

I have followed your lists on the Nexus. I did make some alterations, and created my own mod combinations, but thanks to your guide, I had a great starting point for modding the trilogy. My last trilogy playthrough was awesome! Thanks a lot!

A whole lot of these modes should be put in from the very beginning, I don't know why they don't put in more when it comes to weapons, armor and character creation should all have a lot more in to it.

Bioware would have to make modding tools like bethesda with the creation kit but bethesda engine makes it easier to mod unlike the engine bioware uses.Modders do all the work for non bethesda games.Create the tools and managers and everything

Unlikely. Our current tools are very PC exclusive and are built based on years of reverse engineering the game files. There's no official creation kit for the games and there probably won't ever be.

1:28 The modders are the real legends. I knew they lost the original code for pinnacle station and didn't want to recode it from scratch but I didn't know the mods went and got it done anyway and finished it faster than Bioware.

Except EA is still selling what is the last official version of Pinnacle Station on Origin to go with the original Mass Effect 1 edition...That means EA has a compiled copy on their servers that Bioware could have easily used instead of the OG code, sure it wouldn't be the OG code like they wanted why build it from scratch when there's a perfectly servicable, more updated version of the DLC still for sale that can be used in its place?

@@MegaRazorback They have already mentioned why they are not using it, I believe (from what i remember) that the files being shared on EA servers etc are corrupted if the try to extract the content or something along those lines.

@@Hords They can't be corrupted though if we can still purchase a working copy of the Pinnacle Station DLC for the original Mass Effect on Origin because if it was corrupted then EA would have had to have pulled it and last i checked it's still there for sale.

Honestly this has me hyped for ME4 (actual sequel to the original trilogy, Andromeda doesn't count as ME4). I look forward to seeing BioWare take everything they learned from what they did right and what they did wrong throughout the franchise, and make the ultimate Mass Effect game, with next gen (or I guess current gen) technology.

@@davidrosensin7985 I think the problem is that BioWare keeps putting up with EA's shitty release constrictions. I think some people give EA all of the shit for it, but BioWare should have stood up for themselves, because as it stands, some of their games that were shit could have completely avoided this problem if given an extra year or two for development. All I know is that it has been 10 years since Mass Effect 3, and 5 years since andromeda, so best case scenario, they've had 10 years+ to think about their failures, and worst case scenario, they have 5+. I know that they have definitely been listening to fan concern, and bringing back a lot of old employees from the ME1 & 2 days, and just overall accepting feedback which is good. I'm optimistic about the feature, but yeah I'm not going to just assume that the next game will be amazing off the rip, because I did the same thing with ME3 and Andromeda, which both disappointed me. They did both grow on me with time, but still.

@@prodtetch Andromeda was straight cheeks. Everything about that game with the possible exception of combat was a step or more backwards. ME3 gets a lot of undeserved hate, imo. Yeah the ending sucks and no one is really debating that fact...but it took me 30 hours to get to that point in my first playthrough and I enjoyed 90% of the rest of the game. ME2 imo is the best mass effect game across the board, but 3 was a great journey that was soured with a terrible ending.

Thanks for the guide. I tried replaying ME on the legendary edition but I found the game has aged poorly in so many ways. These mods should definitely help.

Idk man. The thing that you have 250 mods in title and in description it says you "installed" 250 and chose top 40 is kinda dishonest to you viewers. Also, I'm pretty sure you didn't install 250 mods anyways. I know clickbaiting is important nowadays, but for me raising up the numbers like this is in a way crossing the line. EDIT: If anyone reads that, Synth posted below my comment a full list of tested/used mods and clearly showed I was wrong. I just assumed his channel was the same like the others that claimed to be: "500 mods 4k nextgen" while they really used like 20 or less. So I'm sorry for my false assumptions and I'm really thankful for Synth's detailed answer.

Well, if you've watched my other videos than your skepticism is absolutely justified since pretty much all of them contained some form of click-bait bul****t. It took me quite some time to change video titles to make them less scummy and I also removed videos that were just pure lies. Sadly being honest on this platform is mostly an disadvantage if you want to gain viewers and in 2022 clickbait in whatever form is pretty much a standard. It's just hard to survive without it.

It also irks me that BioWare would take 6 months to do what modders with no game developement experience did in no time.
