Funny, you just showed me more with a palette you don't like than I can do with my favourite palette (Winsor Newton). Flashback to the time I bought a plastic soprano recorder for my boat, complained that it sounded terrible to a musician friend who promptly picked it up and played a sonata. I am humbled.

I think that was the most times I have seen you clean the palette wells in any one painting. That tells me how lifeless these can get in mixes.

Looks like a good set for urban sketching but those can be hard to use for many other styles. You made them work well

My first box of pains when i started out years ago was Cotman x then i moved on to White Knights x i really liked them untill i spoiled myself with some Schmincke x Daniel Smith x the difference is so amazing, even though the are soo costly even having a basic set is wonderful in so many ways.

I really like Daler Rowney Aquafine, have you ever tried them?

They look similar to Sennelier student grade paints - horrendous! However, I'm sure that someone like you can make watercolour magic with any materials.

I highly recommend not to buy this! Its just doesn’t flow (lifeless) and almost impossible to mix without getting muddy. Thoovi tubes are much better I would say

Such ‘muddy‘ colors must actually be your secret dream 😂😂😂 ... and what did you do with those 'muddy' colors... you create one of your most colorful paintings... 😂 👍🏻

White night, sennelier aqua mini, vangogh, mungyo, brustro. Get any of these watercolor set along with a flat a round and a mop brush. For papers you can experiment on that
