I REGRET GETTING MIRENA IUD | what they don't tell you...

I'm finally sharing my birth control experience! I hope this video reaches every girl that is considering getting an IUD. I'm surprised that this birth control is still on the market.... I'm not joking when I say it ruined my life. I'm sharing my story in hope that you won't make the same mistake as I did. I STRONGLY regret getting it.
What do you use? Any thoughts on what's the best option?

I agree with her do not get it. It changes to many things. Mental state, weight gain your moods and having foggy head and forgetfulness. Bleesing during sex. So much more and it sucks. I tried to have mine remove the doctor tried to prolong it. I took it out myself after trying for 3 days and i feel a thousand times better and my body is going back to normal. You dont know until you try it did and it was horrible. I hope this adds to someone considering this to not do it at all. Not mention it hurts going in for a while.

So I just recently got the Mirena iud for the second time. The first time it did hurt going in but I wasn’t in pain for very long after. Second time getting it, a diff Dr put it in (previous Dr retired) but it took forever as I was told I had a ridge that was preventing insertion so I was poke prodded and cervix had to be dialated more. Very long, painful process. I’m still in pain, feel sharp pain in lower abdomen on both sides sometimes just on one, feel cramping, my stomach feels very bruised, and I’m swollen like I’m 4-6 mos pregnant. This has wreaked havoc on me emotionally, changing my hormones (being irritable to sad). I’m NOT HAPPY… wish I never would have gotten this. Still haven’t had sex yet to see if he or I can feel anything. With my first mirena he said it poked him which they assured me they could fix if I got it again 🤷‍♀️. I honestly am wanting to go get it removed now, I just want my body to be back to normal! Been taking ibuprofen like is going out of style and using my warmie to alleviate my pain. But ibuprofen isn’t good for a person who has a history of ulcers 😩😩😩😩😩 I’m sooo over this! Oh and btw I have a follow up ultrasound appt ( in a mo, which is a long time away) to find out if it’s sitting in the right place and to make sure it hasn’t perforated through my uterus causing damage to my organs!!!!! What?! You’re right this isn’t worth all this, my anxiety level is maxed out with this thing. DO NOT GET IT!!!!

Was looking to getting one in the future, but the amount of pregnancies that have happened and the higher risk of ectopic pregnancies it causes just isn't worth it. Its better to either wait for the right partner and relationship you're willing to risk pregnancy for or stick to condoms than risk your fertility only to struggle to conceive when you're ready. No amount of unprotected sex is worth suffering for.

Ughhh that is so sad to hear that you are going through this...The doctors should warn us about the pain it can cause...I hope you get the courage to remove it! It will be worth it in the long run. Wish you all the best luck! You got this!

well...I love my Mirena IUD....and so do many people I know...and I know some that didnt.......can also depend on the Dr and insertion etc. maybe yours wasn't inserted correctly?!? ...... birth control methods are different for everyone....people need to figure out what works best for them..by consulting with their dr and trial and error and their preferred method.... ...I know some people that struggle with it and I know many that LOVE them and have a great experience....same with all types of birth control..........everybody is different...and only talking to your 7 friends...is not reliable research info.....you are telling people to not get it......people should discuss with their medical professional.....and get their opinion advice..... but again informative and sharing your experience is ok....I love mine...it is the best birth control method for me...had it for 9 years....this video was not very informative ...just saying don't get it because it gave you and your 7 friends pain and gas...It is easy to try and easy to remove if it is not working for you.

I totally understand where you are coming from! I'm not licenced and I should have worded it differently. I've spoken to a few doctors and gynecologists and they all claim it to be a perfect option. I wish someone warned about the possible negative effects. I felt betrayed by the professionals when I figured out that all of my friends had similar experience as me. I'm incredible happy that I chose to remove it. I'm free from pain! As for me, I'm never going back. My goal with this video was to shed a light to the down sides of IUD. So if someone has similar experience as me and reads/watches this video, know that you are not alone! Removing it was the BEST decision 🤗 But comments like yours is also great to have! It proves that it depends on your body, and everyone is different! Thank you for taking your time to tell your story 🤍
