We may get some of the Mario furniture from ACNL in the March update. Not 100% sure.

It really is sad how many things got removed from the series in New Horizons, but I would definitely bring back is the interactions with the villagers, I really missed hide and seek and unique villager dialog ;(

I wish they would remake the dialogue like it was in Wild World. I got a ton of laughs from it. But I really dont think they will do a full revamp of dialogue. But I do think we'll get most furniture and NPCs back.

Wow... this made me take a moment to realize how much New Leaf impacted me. I mean, I literally grew up with the game. I really do miss the days when I would wake up super early to do my dailies, back when I wasn't constantly stressed out over school and things I can't control. Chilling in The Roost, taking my nightly trip to Tortimer Island to beetle hunt, watching my favorite villagers move out... all of it. I miss NL so much!

Decorating your island with flowers looked WAY better in NL because they really filled the space (and all we could place besides custom paths/ projects). In NH the flowers have a lot of empty space so it's just meh even when you try to do something cool with them.

As much as I love New Horizons... it leaves me wanting so much more. When I see stuff like this, I seriously feel like we got half the game New Leaf was. Sure, we got color customization and terraforming but somehow lost the variety and even some of the charm of the old furniture sets and town projects...

I know, I really wish that new horizons had more milestones and goals to reach after you hit 3 stars. At the start of the game it's fun getting new places and unlocking things but it stops really quickly whereas in new leaf you get to keep doing projects and getting new buildings throughout the game which is really exciting.

One thing I miss from New Leaf is the house customisation options. In New Horizons, you can only have single colours for your roof, and there are only a handful of door and mailbox designs that are also single-coloured. There were so many more options in New Leaf. I want my mermaid roof and my sweets door back 🥺

seriously!! i wish they let you have happy hour designer’s level of home customization, interior and exterior. i love new horizons, but it really lacks the magic that new leaf and happy home designer have. nl/hhd is the best era of animal crossing in my eyes.

I think it boils down to some things being stripped away, and some things becoming obsolete. Losing the reset center, re-tail, and shampoodle all came with the ability of auto-saving and personal customization. Although I miss them, it streamlines the process. As for things like HHA showing, Club LOL, The Roost, and Police station, I think we have a problem where alot of new horzins became bare bones in some areas.

I still have a little book i dedicated to keeping everyone's preference on how they liked their coffee..😢😢😔😔⛾⛾

People who’ve only played new horizons will never know the feeling of looking back on your old towns and feeling sad over the memories Edit: don’t get me wrong though, it’s a pretty good animal crossing game that I’m going to look back on in 10 years time and miss playing, it just doesn’t give off the same vibes as the other animal crossing games. I miss the new leaf town tree, because it was such a beautiful achievement to see it full grown after paying hundreds of hours.

This feels so refreshing... i dont know how to describe it. I feel like you really captured that charm that i loved about new leaf town tours rather than the extremeley incredible and over the top islands we see in new horizons. Amazing job! I feel right at home.

The ACNH islands I see people make are amazing and creative, but New Leaf towns felt way more personal and like home.

wow!! this is absolutely amazing. It's so cool to see New Leaf's style of decorating (more flowers, less concentrated item displays, less fancy paths) in New Horizon's graphics. It also really shines a light on how much less variety there is in NH.

seriously! isabelle talking about finding her sock or video calling her parents is super cute at first, but it gets annoying really quickly because she just has nothing else to say. i wish they’d give her (and all of our villagers and special characters, really) more unique dialogue.

As someone who's never played New Leaf, it's astounding to see how much more there is in-game! I'm not upset with New Horizons, I still think it's super fun, even after almost a year and a half of daily play, but it is interesting to see how different the old games were. Your recreation was super spot on!! I wish we had as many shops/buildings in NH as there were in NL, but I definitely see the reasoning in excluding them to make it more of a deserted island. This was so cool though

i wanna do projects like this but, only one island per switch, i remember having a spare new leaf which i did little projects on and really miss that feeling, i remember when new horizons was first announced and one of the first things people asked for was ‘what if we have multiple islands per save’ but we basically got the opposite

Ugh this makes me so sad... New Leaf had so much charm, everything felt so alive... I even prefer how the grass looks, New Horizons looks too crisp and clean compared to New Leaf so some of the magic that was in NL is just gone... I also miss how my character would run more girlishly when wearing a dress or skirt... I don't know why so many things were removed... ugh... I wish my 3DS wasn't broken so I could play it again...

New leaf is the only AC I didn’t play and it looks the best :(

It's definetly the best for me. NH's updates had the potential to make it the best, but so far they are mostly bringing simplified versions of old events, which aren't improvements to day-to-day gameplay, just temporary distractions that happen once a year. I feel like we are mostly missing features that we can use everyday, especially when it comes to minigames, stores, upgrades, facilities, dialogue and interactions...

I have a whole playlist speedbuilding it (3 videos) if you want a play by play. I based all my measurements on where my house is.
