As an actor and scriptwriter with a Theater Degree, I am so happy to see someone outside the theater world enjoy Shakespeare. Also, all of your ratings for each play I 100% agree with/can respect (except for As You Like It, that’s my favorite Shakespeare comedy so it will always be a 10 for me, especially because I saw it at the Globe Theatre in London so I know I’m quite biased). And yes, Falstaff is Shakespeare’s best character. He’s in like 10 of Shakespeare’s plays, and that whole “Cinematic Universe” thing is not incorrect. Often Shakespeare would do that I believe because it’s easier to use characters from past works then to create ones from scratch. Also, I can very much relate to being able to watch a Shakespeare play live with ACTUALLY trained Shakespeare actors. It’s quite incredible to witness. Love, love, LOVE this video. P.S. I would go to that sandwich shop

Bro as a theater kid who’s teacher REALLY likes shakespeare (seriously. Our school put on 2 shakespeare shows this year. Technically 3 if you count Something Rotten but whatever) I have developed an almost pavlovian response to anything even remotely referencing Romeo and Juliet, or Hamlet, or Midsummer.

I am filled with an intense urge to study everything shakespeare but dear god I don’t have time
Liam and Shakespeare would 100% have been best friends back in the day.

Wondering what book I have I may want to try this with. I love the play recreations, too!! 😃 I also liked hearing you say 'I think I understood about 1/3 of it'. The fact that you managed to turn reading a book into a very entertaining video is astonishing to me. I think my favorite aspects of it were the shots of you reading always having the timer be visible, and the montage of your reading journey at the end. It was nice to see someone else be inundated with the world of Billy Shakes, personally saw Cymbeline at the Royal Shakespeare Theater so it was cool to see you enjoying yourself there!

Wish we could see more of you, but when you do post videos they are always works of art. It would take you a long time to put these together. Who thinks of Shakespeare? All the average person hears of his work is Romeo and Juliet. Who knew we were seriously missing out? Thanks for not giving up on this one. It would take me probably a year to read that book.
As a Shakespeare nerd, I LOVE that you did this!! What a legend!

What a legendary comeback! This video had everything I've come to love about your channel. Pure silliness done with extreme care. 10/10 ❤
stupid challenges like this is EXACTLY how i got into reading classics and now im a lit major. i’m not all the way through the video but im so glad you’re enjoying it so far at least.
I love it when people discover Shakespeare for the first time, Because Liam really just asked if Malvolios flirting with the yellow stockings and the “Ho ho”s in twelfth night was intentionally comedic (the answer is yes, it’s probably one of the most popular comedic acts in his entire work)
You were gone for so long, I assumed you were doing something that took a long time... And I was right!😂 We don't learn about Shakespeare in my country, but I got motivated to read Shakespeare now, thanks to you! LOVED the editing in this. It takes a while, sure, but the result is so worth it!
This was absolutely amazing! Great video!
We've missed you! Welcome back and hope to see more from you soon 🤙
For anyone who wants to take on Shakespeare’s works, I highly recommend full cast audiobooks. I love Shakespeare and adapted, directed, and acted in his plays in college, but aside from getting to be a part of putting the shows on or seeing live theater, the full cast audiobooks are my favorite ways to consume his works
This was actually GREAT! I loved this video
Dude, whenever one of your new videos come out it just makes my day.
the level of detail you put into this is insane. When I paused to read the "play" you wrote out, I wasn't expecting it to be the script of the video that you hadn't even got to yet lmao. I was tripping when you were speaking stuff that I already read in the play haha
