@@xaviersavard6343 nope. Because stages like Flat Zone and Hannenbow are Flat, which change hitboxes, some stages are too dark, some too light. And even then, you wouldn't be playing on their true forms.

deadass one of the reasons smash ultimate is plagued by campy characters is due to the stagelist - Sonic, Steve, and GnW adore larger stages with more room to run and live. another stage (Like Warioware) should be allowed to exist because it either forces characters to adapt or it forces them to take a ban.

My big takeaway is that high-level Duck Hunt is rad, actually

Now that I’m at the part with hazards, I love this. Those casual tournaments we had before threw everything at competitive players at once, but here It’s like we’re introducing a little bit more of the game’s meta at a time. Eventually they’ll be comfortable with playing more than the same 7 stages over and over again.

warioware is a good competitive stage 75% of the time the other 25% is Don't Move!

The stage layout honestly makes for a great competitive stage if the size of the actual stage is bigger. So many characters can thrive off this stage layout and can make some match ups/sets really interesting if you ask me

⁠@@Supersonic37838I'd say Palu's Temple is like the polar opposite of the Great Cave Offensive in terms of stages too large for 4 player smash; in exchange for more maneuverability and space, you're very likely to live past 200% if you play safely

That's kinda the point of the stage. Being able to kill this early changes what the optimal character choice and play is for this particular instance, instead of usually always the same cycle of characters we've been seeing for years now.

I'm disappointed that they didn't fight each other during the minigames. I was curious how the strategy would develop between going for a buff or going for a general combat advantage or throwing your opponent into the hazards.

I love watching BDHF play. The level of 4D chess in his mind. Bros playing a completely different game than everyone else.

Can someone explain to me why this stage is illegal in a meta dominated by Sonic and Steve which are incentivized to camp/benefit by camping?

While it is true that metal and fleshy objects fall at the same speed on the same planet if air resistance is equal, being metal and the same size means you're probably more massive than if you were flesh, which means it takes more force to alter or arrest your fall trajectory. So your overall horizontal speed would be reduced, air-dodging wouldn't take you as far, and your recovery moves (assuming they exert the same amount of force on you as usual) also wouldn't help you regain as much height. How's that for physics?

Zelda's FS is auto and only 1 character can reliably dodge it. That is DK doing a grounded upB as during that hes immune to the light knockup that zelda's FS does as well as its pull box. Even then it takes like 8 seconds of upBing at the right times to dodge the knockup for him to dodge it.

I think its fine as is, but .8x knockback could certainly be a variant ruleset for anybody who doesnt mind taking a little longer per set.
