To be fair, being unwell sucks the joy out of everything, it really does, and the same when you’re worried about other things. I came to realise that the less I shopped, the less I wanted to shop and I’ve never returned to my browsing hobby since the stores re-opened a few years ago. It will be nice to see what you do buy on holiday - hopefully it’s something that just calls to you and is very special. 😊

Yeah that day i went into Chanel boutique to collect my CC earrings that i sent for repair and there are a lot of pinks handbags, SLGs and accessories that i have ever seen in the same store years ago and they have stocks for everything. I think many people are priced out from Chanel or those that have the money will spend that on holidays instead. Gone are the days where one has to queue during the 1st day launch of anything. I remembered my SA told me too that if i am interested in any item for those seasonal collection, i can just text her and she will try to get it for me. It is good to take a break and just use what we already have. Thanks for sharing 🤗

Yes it is so strange for Chanel! I am not sure how much their slgs are now but the bag prices are just insane to me. It really is good to take a break, I enjoyed using bags I hadn't in a long time. Thank you!

I’m the same. If I don’t watch luxury videos or browse I just don’t want anything. Have planned to add 3 bags this year so I did a vlog sale to reduce the amount of stuff in my closet that doesn’t get used. I could definitely do another round because I really feel better when my collection is a bit smaller x

My daughter and I went to Vegas in Feb. and we went to two concerts. I think we were the only two people in Vegas who didn’t drink one drop of alcohol or gamble. Had the best time!!😊

The spreadsheets! I do the same thing when I know I'm heading to Europe. I have my wish list, so I will calculate what is worth buying over there. I have purchased something that actually was more expensive in Paris but it was available where here it would be a six to nine month waitlist. Can't wait to see what you purchase while you are there.

Hi Melinda! I’m glad you’re feeling better. My screen time is also down these days. I’m still watching my favourite vloggers on KZread but I’m rarely on Facebook anymore, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. When you go to Paris, if you happen to go into Joseph Duclos, I really hope you vlog from there. A handbag from Joseph Duclos is the only thing on my wish list this year!

I hear ya! I have put a ban on touching my phone in the middle of the night unless I need to use the flashlight but all bets were off sick. Otherwise I will keep finding more questions I need an answer to lol.

We are outdoor people, around Las Vegas is a lots of places to enjoy hiking trails and of course one day of shopping 🛍 Thank you for sharing.

Hope you continue to feel better, Melinda. It’s annoying to be unwell for an extended period of time. I’m also not buying any new handbags for now because I’m going to Europe (again) later this year (yay!), but there may be a couple of exceptions - a possible made-to-order opportunity, and a store credit with Cettire that I have to consume before it expires. Also, I’m on a lookout for a couple preloved pieces so if something pops up that I really like I will go for them. Otherwise, you really save a lot to buy in Paris or anywhere in EU.

I noticed the same thing with my phone, the usage plummeted, I was busy doing other things though - exercising, site seeing & dumping my brain from all the issues of the world. Ohhhh and fasting.... couldn't escape from the delicious cooking videos even.😵‍💫 When I'm feeling icky, I always save money. Omgoodness yes, try everything on your list, if you can, before purchasing overseas. Keep up the great work, 3 months is a long time. 💛

Yes I find shopping addictive too..I have cut down on my shopping this year. Every time I feel tempted to buy a bag, I may even checkout a bag into the cart. Before paying I then ask myself is this just a momentary thrill? Usually the answer is Yes and I don’t check out the bag 😅..it’s worked well so far. So far this year I have just bought the micro Lottie. I have been spending a lot on travel though.

Yes, we got to see one of our favorite comedians. And we went to new restaurants and saw the new Fountainebleau casino and went to dinner with some friends and lunch with others. I plan to try for the lottery, I do not have high hopes.

It's hard to get it down! I was truly surprised how much time I was spending online.

the most ive lasted was 7 months, I could not pass up the xxl travel flap chanel brought out in Dec 2023. last purchase was Jan 2024 so I'm at 3/4 months now. let's see how far I can push it and have to push it/be responsible.

@@leebeaute Our last trip was 6 years ago, and it was ok but we do not take any public transit there or in London. Cabs and Uber only. The Eiffel Tower area was very sketchy.

Yes it is bad plus we have a high risk of terrorist alerte since the war in Palestine plus the Olympics are coming witch is a potencial target. No public transport even with Uber be careful of the number on the app match the car. Around train stations do not follow anybody.

@@LuxPurselove it’s definitely changed a lot. Surprised to hear London too. I lived in the UK from 2017-2020, public transport was the norm without any incidents. We always dressed up pretty when in London. Disappointed to hear these beautiful cities & now stained with crimes.
