I put a BTR stage 3 cam in my Trans Am WS6!!

After some time of thinking of plans for the car and building this engine and trans she’s almost complete. In today’s video me and Stephen finished everything up and got it to FIRE up. Now to see how many bald eagles this baby really makes. Stay tuned for next video where i go further into detail with everything that went into this build. Safe to say i got a little carried away and went FULL OUT! Hope you enjoy!

3 things, 1) I love 4th Gen T bodies so I love the build 2) please splurge on a tubular K member they're so much lighter and stiffer than stock plus you have so much room for activities finally and most importantly 3) you look pretty young but please listen to me. When using an impact or hammer wear some earplugs. I didn't when I was younger and I've been around loud fast cars, stereos that would do high 150s low 160s, guns, and impact tools. I'm 40 years old and my ears constantly ring. Please consider it.

Thanks for the comment! I will definitely be looking into the k member. Will have to add it this winter. I’m only 21 and never wear any ear protection but will admit i need too. I appreciate all the advise!

@@walkerhaules Look into a tubular K member, front and rear tubular control arms, torque arm, panhard bar, sub frame connectors, and either build an 8.8 or order a 9" with 3.73 or 3.90 gears if automatic and 4.11 or 4.30 if manual. I promise it's some of the best money you can spend on a 4th Gen. That with QA1 coilovers, some stage 2.5 5.3 heads, Fast intake, 1 7/8" long tube headers, 4k stall if auto or billet flywheel Spec Stage 3 clutch if 6 speed really makes for an awesome F body setup. I've had auto and M6 and I prefer the M6 most. Maybe I'll end up with another one soon.

I did my front and rear suspension at the bottom of my drive way. I used a floor jack to get it in. The K member is geometrically strong. the engine will flex the car by the shear power of the engine. not the k member. butting new motor will only mitigated it a little bit.

One must be one with their 4th gen to drop a cradle and go all out..I’ve done it and the whole time was cursing GM engineers 😂😂 yeah isn’t too much fun it’s about 3x the work I feel for anyone attempting to do this without a lift..I couldn’t imagine..especially when aiming those guide pins and steering shaft. How long did you run the break in oil before you changed? 500miles? And did you end up throwing the 10w30w back in her? Thanks bro.

  • @walkerhaules

It definitely makes it a lot easier with the lift! We’ve had this motor out 3x so i’m used to it now we got a good system down lol. I ran roughly 400 miles then changed it and i go roughly 2k miles on a oil change now. I still use 10W-30!
