@@reneprovencher8395 agreed, I think a lot of hard work needs to make a come back. I lost my job as a 911 operator and the only thing I could get was working for Dominos as a delivery driver. It was a huge change but like my grandfather always said, I don’t care if you’re digging ditches, or something that no one else will do. Take pride in your job. It’s not rocket science. When I moved to NC from Texas I learned quick that working in the tobacco fields, cropping was hard at 12 to 17 years of age. It was nasty, hot and sticky work but that work paid for my school clothes. If you’ve never had a moon pie and a coke at 10 am for breakfast then you’ll never understand.

I raced over 100 cars that summer (illegally) . And only got a good race with a modified twin turbo Toyota supra. But the looks that ram air hood scoop made was just screaming for others to race it. And so many people wanted to know what was under the hood. We raced it against a Caroll Shelby supercharged 5.0 mustang at 162mph on the expressway at 4.00am. good times

@@ontherightside2647 If you don't intend to commit homicide then the intention to sin was not there. And the possibility of killing anyone varies. It's completely reasonable to do 15 over on an empty highway with no cars and in nice weather. Add that to an emergency scenario where you have a passenger bleeding out or you're on your way to see a dying family member, and it almost becomes *moral* to speed. Besides, a small risk to kill others or oneself doesn't mean it's immoral to do. People play football. People go hiking. People launch and go on rocket ships. In addition I consider "thou shalt not kill" a poor translation. Killing may be acceptable in a just war and in self defense. Thou shalt not murder is a much better representation of what the Lord meant. Don't kill innocent people in cold blood.

Absolutely beautiful car. The 01-02 cars did get the LS6 intake, and a small number of LS6 blocks did make it out, but the LS6 camshaft was never in them. In fact, the 01-02 cam is weaker than the 98-00 cam, but the intake and 241 heads made up for it. I think the CE and Firehawk might be a hair more collectable, but there's nothing wrong with a red on black, 6 speed WS6.

It was only around 10-15 percent of 2001 and 25 percent of 2002 F-bodies came with an LS6 block. While these numbers haven't been officially confirmed, it has been proven that some did in fact come with it. They did not receive the more aggressive 204/218-degrees duration at 0.050 with 0.551/0.547 lift cam or the higher flowing 243 heads. It was purely a parts supply issue within GM. A few cars also came with LS6 intakes due to the same supply issues.

So he had his fun tracking it down and owning it and most likely ready to move on. He could go out and buy a LS1 for 1/4 the price and beat on it. Thank you for the history and knowledge on all these cars. It's pretty amazing. Knowledge is priceless. Hopefully kids today will understand that the things an experienced gearhead shows them and teaches them is priceless. My Late Uncle and my cousin shared a lot of stories and helped me get into drag racing. Although I've thanked them a million times they have no idea how much I value the things they shared with me. So thank you so so much for sharing your knowledge, experience and adventures. It truly is priceless to some of us younger guys. Take Care!!!
