I PRANKED These KZread Drummers To Record a Track For Me 😏
After seeing all the Fiverr videos where they hire a bunch of drummers, I figured I would hire a bunch of KZreadrs instead. In order to fully remove an of my influence from what they play, I had to prank them first 😉

@@L0CV5T to answer your question it depends on what level your at. also keep in mind, you can tune a cheap drum set and make it sound good. However you cant tune cymbals. if you decide to go cheep on drums thats fine but to have a decent sound invest in cymbals. im not sayin meinl byzance or anything but in my opinion meinls midrange cymbals, the dark classic customs, have a great beginner/intermediate sound. good luck man.

@@StephenTaylorDrums No problem at all, man! You had the best overall drum sound/production, held back a lot and served the song more, and put those crucial drum fills in the right spots as Dave mentioned and then drove the rest of the song out heavy. If you combined some of the percussion ideas with this take, it would go to another level.

Stephen Taylor definitely won this one. He made it sound so pure and musical. Exactly what the track needed. The other three sounded a bit too technical and choppy. But overall, 4 great musicians with great passion. Love it!👍🏼

the change my mind guy ?! ;)
There.s always that discussion about "serving the song" versus "overplaying", but on a track without vocals I think the sky is the limit. Musicians/drummers are entertainers, and for me. even though everyone was awesome, I was most entertained by DC,s version.
Absolutely love this kind of video! Great to see everyone's different style and approach come through and all the different ideas. I'd watch more!
Brandon Scott deserves more attention. Killer drummer.
I love all different types of videos you make - I love to build and hack things too, I love your experiments with new sounds, new ways to get old sounds, and "will this work" exploration. But this video does something really special. The concepts you're pointing out with this video - thinking about how the drums relate to the other instruments, really influence whether a section feels solid or floating, pushing or syrupy, and how there isn't a default, all these are choices with different effects on the song - they're one of the hardest things to communicate and ones that really make the difference between a good drummer and a great drummer, as well as a drummer that's just fun to jam with versus one that elevates songs. You've taken something difficult to get across and highlighted it in a really clear way. Really well done.
Gabe is such a legend and all our genuine dude. Huge inspiration, glad he took part.

That was an incredibly fun video. Awesome job!
Cool song! and definitely nice interpretations from all the drummers you had participate.
Well played guys,you guys rock!!
Great job for all
Gracias por esto!! Thanks for this!!
Really dig this tune & what the drummers did. Makes me wanna go play my kit now
Loved how you called the faux-double kick! I think most drummers here could relate/remember when you were a kid without a double bass setup, and had to make do with the floor tom to get that sound! 👍
I’ve watched this vid over 10 times now it’s so amazing. Great track choice, can you please do a version with you on drums.

Dude, STEPHEN freaking KILLED IT! That was amazing 👏
Thats such a cool track and and all those drummers were tight AF!!! Inspiring me to write a track in 7 now
Stephen Taylor - you are hired!) Great job!)
Love the video! Everyone KILLED it! Woulda been cool to see zakk grooves on here!!
This is a nice format, I like it
This video was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed all four takes a lot.
Can't pick a favorite they all played amazing!!
What an f’in awesome track! I LOVE IT!
stephen killed it, definitely best for the job (although david cola's take was the most unique and fun imo)
While I loved everybody's playing on this, I enjoyed David's the most because of the level of nuance and complexity he brought to it while still maintaining an underlying basic drive that was powerful and always present. Also loved his fills and the doubles on the kick. Kudos to all for their varied approaches. This was a lot of fun to watch. Great idea and analysis rdavidr!! Bravo.
Everyone of you did a great job! My personal favorite was Stephen... it just sounded spot on!
Stephen Taylor's take is close to what I would have done using fills inspired by the immediate environment, but David Cola is in GODMODE ! (It might be a bit too much but jeez was it fun !!!! Great video rdavidr, thanks for this.
Stephen Taylor is probably my favourite KZread drummer , he’s so passionate about the drums and is just a cool dude 👌
Loved this! Please do more, even if it's not a surprise!
Stephen sounded great. The fills were perfect, nothing ridiculous.
Amaaazinnngg!!! 😆😂
Stephen’s kit sounds sick!! 👍
That was cool! Looking forward to you doing that again
Stephen was the most dedicated drum, Gabe was the stick with the job with excellent sound, Brandon was the most experimental and Dave was the SOLO drum. For me all were GREAT!!
1:55 omg laughed my ass of at this 😂😂👌
Can you upload a playlist of your drumless tracks to play to? That would be sickkkkk!!
Out of all of the covers I enjoyed David colas the most but none the less everyone in this video was amazing and they all have inspired me in some way on my drumming journey and without there influences idk where my playing would be if I could have a drum lesson with everyone of these players I would
All 3 were awesome, but it's Brandon Scott for me. It's just so tight and tasteful. I really enjoyed enjoyed the comments you made throughout. I know these aren't your typical kind of video. Damn I wrote this before i got to the David Cola part. That kick stuff was nasty 🤌🤌🤌 Great job to everyone!
The real question is how are these people so good at recording drums AND playing them!

All good drummers. JBL and Focustite on your desk....nice!
Beautiful video. I really really like what brandon did. Now for a moment I think there should be a talk about sound. By far Gabe has the best mix I think. Stephen sound a little bit choked, like it seems he has a lot of compression or too short gates on the kick and toms. They all played beautifully of course.
I like them all. Gabe and Stephen suited my tastes the best, but I loved all 4 interpretations. Brandon's was a bit too chill for me, but certainly tight with that awesome subtle groove. David Kola's was overplayed a bit (intentionally I'm sure), wish he dialed that back a bit, but he used some cool unique fills and it was fun to see that monstrosity of a ride. Loved this video - worth the effort for sure!!
David cold killed it, best drummer.
David Cola took it there. Great take.
big up @brandonscott for being willing even w that fake email. Mad respect for my mannn
I’d be so down for something like this!
Killer. Great job by all.
I love that David is essentially a hype man the entire time
Mr Taylor’s was the most supportive of the song. Really impressed me. Great job by all but his was special to me.
They were all great players and brought cool perspectives but I gotta give it to Stephen, he played exactly what the song needed and raised it to the next level, he was a part of the song instead of just playing "to" the song. There's a difference and I hear it in what Stephen did...next level shit!!🤘😌🤘
What a great f****** video. Well played sir.
