I love that wade still uses the offbrand twenty one pilots symbol😂😂😂
You could almost use the forced detuning as a live effect, imagine a drummer having a second cheap snare on stage that they literally destroy in a few hits. I don't know who, but someone could make that work

Most avant-prog bands, maybe get black midi or Zach Hill on that
This channel is proof positive that experience and skill matter more than equipment, and that bad equipment can be made good with the correct components/accessories.
I have never heard a drum detune itself like that. It's like you loaded a snare sample into sampler and started futzing with the pitch bend wheel.
5:01 God the way I _recoiled_ when I heard this. 😆
This channel has single handedly got me back into drumming. Started 10 years ago, was pretty crap at it, but watching you reminded me i fuckin love drums
American drum corps use almost exclusively Remo heads. I didn’t even know there was an alternative.

iirc blue devils uses evans unless their system blue sponsorship termination made them switch that too but if thats the case they did use evans during their contract with system blue in 2019

Bluecoats, blue devils, and Carolina crown use Evans, there's probably more but those are the 3 I can name off the top of my head

Yeah but they use high tension Kevlar heads on bigger snares. Unlike you weak kit drum bois.
Ayyy swamp industries are based like 20 minutes away from me! They produce some real cheap garbage but there’s a diamond dozen musical parts that are well priced and actually good quality

Heck, I didn't even realise I was reading an eggcorn - I thought you just meant they only sell like 10-12 good things 😅 (Probably because I wouldn't arrive at this one with my accent?)
Watching Wade unga-bunga'ing the cheap snare head as hard as he can was genuinely one of the funniest things i've seen
Now thats a musical metal disk

The fun thing about drums is even when they suck , they still sound like drums.
i love the gran turismo 5 reference with the entertainer in the pit stop section
Love the snare centric videos, mainly because I fucking suck at tuning my snare lol. Learn something every time about stuff I might be able to try to 'fix' my sound.
That stress test was tonally impressive. The decrescendo of its sweetness as you went was amazing
Your students must have had a blast having you as their teacher man The drummer of one of the bands Im in got a PDP Concept Series Wood Hoop Maple snare, and if you havent checked those out yet do yourself a favor, its for me personally one of the best sounding snares ever made!

That cheapy snare head sounded like Golfinger's Superman when it was tight 😂 Time to do 30 kickflips in a row on a guardrail
8:03 COOL! the evens drum head stress test had like a tone that appeared in the cacophony of booms
That demo with the tree-trunks was amazing, so satisfying 😂
I remember my 50€ snare drum sounded awful out of the box. Tuned it, it sounded real good for 2 years, swapped the drum heads for some remo's and it was just all good until my basement got raided and they took it plus a whole set of 8 cymbals. Worst day of my life finding that basement completely empty
@vcprado

I'm sure it was a pretty terrifying experience, but reading "my basement got raided" only evokes imagery of a Fallout-esque world where they value music instruments enough to hide in a bunker and others raid.
Wrapped like a kilo of the best stuff you can find.
When you "Impromptu Stress Test" them, it looks like its rewinded.
You, my friend, are so entertaining. I love the content you put out for us. Thank you so much!!!❤️🙏👏❤️🙏👏❤️
Hah that thin snare head is absolutely a reggae vibe
Watching you stress test at 2x watch speed is amazing.
back when remo used to be good? now im interested! would you consider making a remo history video? i really like the way you talk about drums!
I think the snare with added tone fabric sounded kinda neat

Watching this shit live was glorious, mate. Look forward to seeing more of the shenanigans
I am a simple soul. I see a Drum Thing video, I click.
I love the unique "Impromptu Stress Test" posture.
my first instinct when i heard the freshly unwrapped snare was that it was actually not half bad. then i remembered my favourite genres are old-school metalcore, deathcore, and post-hardcore, so arguably this is the best snare i’ve actually heard recently.
I spent a good amount of time on this stream begging Wade to destroy some snare heads, the man delivered! Love then work mate keep it up ❤
I liked the sound of the Diplomat.
I would legitimately be interested if you made videos on different drum heads
Can we just appreciate how amazing this stream overlay is
This guy has achieved the optimum balance between crazy and knowledge. Amazing
6:02 the results from his stress test made him turn into scout tf2 for a moment
The sound of that snare dying in agony was incredible
Oh hay, I was there on KZread for the next stream! The plastic heads I was dying from their destruction.
perfect tone for slam
5:27 - I just heard the beginning of a Maretu song and just got blasted back to my vocaloid days help
ok. the thick stick thin head stress test made me spit my drink out. fah-king funny.

Cloth and tape. It seems like somebody's gone for the Ringo Starr vibe on this one. Love the WinXP setup on your videos, by the way.
earliest time ive been to a dank universe video
6 lug snares have that weird hollow, open, built in reverb sound to them. Regardless of the heads you use, ignoring any pre-muffeled nonsense of course. I quite like them, but they are a weird specialty that only work in certain scenarios well
That snare gave me Sega Genesis/Sonic music vibes before you cranked up on the diplomat head
