I Paid 'Pro' Drummers To Create An EPIC Drum Part For My Song! • I Paid 'Pro' Drummers ...
Time for round 2 on Fiverr...but this time it's all about metal drumming! A metal song played by metal drummers with metal cymbals ;^) what can we learn by hiring 6 metal drummers on Fiverr to record their own interpretation of a metalcore song? Even if metal music is not your cup of tea, I think we can all learn a great deal by looking at what each one of these metal drummers played to this metalcore song..
Some of my most valuable feedback and lessons learned have come from evaluating my drumming in a recorded setting, getting feedback from other musicians, and being willing to improve my playing based upon that feedback. As well, I can learn so much just by watching another drummer or picking apart their drumming. So, I wanted to create a Fiverr gig and use it in this drum tutorial. Fiverr gig marketing has become a great way for some drummers to get work...but what type of quality is there? In this video, I paid random drummers that specifically said they specialized in metal drumming on Fiverr to record a drum part to a metal song I had produced. Since I am hiring them, it's my job to play the part of the producer and evaluate what I think works and what I think doesn't work with each of their drum parts.
Leave a comment below and let me know who you think played it the best!

$38.25 is completely under-selling himself. He had all the accents and displacement down to a tee

Glenn needs to charge WAY more. I think that half time part in the outro was so brilliant it just grabbed you by the throat.

This channel epitomizes the quote, “When art critics get together they talk about Form and Structure and Meaning. When artists get together they talk about where you can buy cheap turpentine.”

If Stephen ever chooses me to play, I’m just going to play reverse boom chick the entire song.

Your drum take was by far the most disjointed one of them all lol

I know some of the other takes are getting a bit more love but Rebecca really did that fill at the end of the verse part. It was unexpected and just fit perfectly, love it

High quality video right here. This is fascinating to see how you are putting this song together. Usually people only see the finished polished piece, but there are so many great ideas going on here. Some of the drum fills actually are killer

Would be super cool if you released the drumless track for this so other drummers can play around with it. I'd love to cover this myself :)
