If you’re a genuine fan of the game, the rogue like “No Return” game mode is worth the 10$ ALONE in my opinion.

I live where they filmed the Jackson parts for the show (Canmore AB) and I just happened to glance at the screen as you were walking around Jackson and I was like "oh there's the grocery store downtown!" that's how *perfectly* they did it in the show!

Played the No Return this morning and it is 100% worth the $10 upgrade. Calling it a remaster is ridiculous though. 😂

It's typically released after the film's initial theatrical run." Nothing says that the directors cut goes against the directors vision, on the contrary. Also got this "Director's cuts can include scenes that were cut from the version released for general distribution." Having in mind that this remaster also have cut levels, named "lost levels", from the original game, it is literally the definition of a directors cut

The no return mode is probably the best thing they’ve added in a while!! 😊

Bruh it's a ten dollar upgrade and includes an expansive new rogue like mode, deleted chapters and a bunch of other new content. I am glad they ported it properly to ps5 tbh because it's still one of the best looking games of all time but adjustments to draw distance, lod and asset quality make it look even better.

I love this remaster. I played No Return for a solid 5 hours. Some of the most fun I’ve had in a game in ages. I unlocked all of Ellie’s characters and am working on unlocking Abby’s characters.

Same somehow got good towards the end like i couldn’t believe I was able to kill that boss bloater at the hospital. I wouldn’t wanna do that level again it was very very challenging and intense. It really brought out skills I didn’t know I had 😂

But, but, but it was given away for free....Some people seem to lack the comprehension, TLOU II was released in 2020 like 2 months before the PS5 launched. ALOT of people cried that they should have delayed it and made a PS5 version, this is literally the middle ground, hence the $10 upgrade for a game that came out 4 years ago. TLOU was released in 2013, TLOU remastered was released in 2014 and there was not any sort of free upgrade. Something people see to ignore, especially when they feel the need to talk about TLOU Remake that came out in 2023 almost 10 years after the release of the first

They are upset about a "remastered" version of a three year old game coming out for $50 on a console that can already play the original. This wasn't expected or necessary, and it's why people are mocking it. Also, I do remember a fair number of people being upset that GoT ps5 upgrade was $10. An opinion that I find completely reasonable.

yh i one thing i do wish they did was after you completed a full run you start a new one with all your guns skills etc but each time the run gets harder and harder instead of just starting all over again

Haven't played either game , though I have the Part 1 PS4 Remaster (the game was originally PS3, right?) since Amazon was basically giving it away for free at one point. A friend at work wouldn't shut up about how great it was.

So i went ahead a replayed up to seattle, on my ps4 pro. then i did the same in back compat mode on my ps5. before i got the remaster, and imo it does look better not hugely, but more in the same sense as if you were playing upscaled on pc vs native res. it has more clarity, also using my VRR tv the new modes are great 40 fps in fidelity mode is a bit smoother than 30. i feel ike those who arent used to high fps on pc probably wont notice it as much. also i think remake and remaster is two different things, ND messed up by not being more clear with TLOUP1 its should have been called a remake instead. as it fits that description better that remaster, i believe they didnt simply because they new they want to do this and having remastered in both titles simply looks better. all and all though im happy with it, since it was only 10. now 50, for a person who has already completed the game is simply too much i wouldnt tell anyone to do that. buy a used copy and do the upgrade if you want it that bad, otherwise skip it. no return is fun but i think a lot of folks will get bored of it, personally i know i will.

The new mode is rly fun Even though ive heard alot of complaints about some characters I think its fun but it rly should have been free

Playing on an oled i do think it looks better. You can unlock the framerate in fidelity mode and it looks incredible!! Also after my 2nd playthrough Abby is my favorite character. Sorry.

I get why it's stupid to make a remaster this fast but I never played the original and my first experience was with the PS5 remake of the first one so I'm just gonna play this version

Ive been playing it andits totally worth the 10 dollars. The rogue like mode in this is twice as good as Resident Evils Mercenaries. Its also a noticeable graphic upgrade on e you dive into it. Its hard to tell on KZread

I never played part 2 or part 1, so this isn’t really remastered for me haha

So the $10 upgrade is good and bad at the same time, i wished they make it free like GOW Valhalla

as someone who went on lockdown mode after I heard about leaks experiencing the game without the knowledge that Joel was going to die, at least like that, and that early on, was amazing I knew he was going to die, but I figured it would have been in the third act or whatever, and the inciting incident would have been Dina's death. but damn, Im not even mad about the trailers "lying" to us. I'd much rather be able to watch a trailer without spoiling the narrative of a NARRATIVE DRIVEN game, even if a little dishonest. And as an aside there's alot of people who don't realize trailers for media lie all the time

The captions say man wnd women untitl owen says her name and once he says Abby, then it appears on captions as abby and same for owen.

It's worth it to upgrade to me because I haven't played through part 2 yet.

"Remastered" is a more accurate term for this than "Director's Cut". That goes for Ghost of Tsushima as well.

For me it was pretty nice that the remastered Released. Just bought the ps5 and played part1 and finished it when the remastered released. For 10dollar more it was fucking worth it to have the additions. Btw I think that part 2 is next to red dead 2 the best game I ever played. It broke me so many times and i was fucking depressed at the end. And that was the goal of the devs. They nailed it

Protip; TLOU came out in 2013 , TLOU Remastered came out in 2014 without an upgrade, TLOU Remake came out 10 years later.....TLOU II a $10 DLC with new content, lost levels haptic feedback etc.. What's pathetic is the amount of people who feel entitled to everything for free....4 years ago is a long time also there kid What is really killing games are pathetic, entitled gamers who think everything should be 48k graphics with a 2000fps framerate, BUT they shouldn't have to ever purchase anything, they should just get to sign up for some sort of Welfare program like a Welfare subscription service. BUT the game should still be doing what they want at little to no cost.

I agree it should've just been called Definitive Edition. The new mode is awesome. Hopefully, they keep adding to it. And for $10, it's worth it.

Story is what means the most to me. To make a game that has deep moral dilemmas you should have some options for the player to decide. In Witcher it is done beautifully. I can't play part 2 as its too railroaded and I expected much more from part 2. I did enjoy the first wholeheartedly but I don't want to ruin its memory.

@@phantom__1117 Did the Ragnarok one have 10 different characters with differing traits and specializations? I love roguelike, but Ragnarok Valhalla was so painfully boring (and I absolutely loved the base game). TLOU No Return is far better.

I love the first part, I've played it 2 times on ps5. And knowing how the story goes in the 2nd part, i just dont wanna play it at all. Joel is my favorite video game character. 😢

I don't think it needed a remaster

The way they integrated the PS5 controller is the only reason the “remaster” is even remotely necessary. The space ship controller is actually really fun to use when it’s utilized well. This utilizes it ok. Also it’s 10 bucks for slightly better performance, tingly hands when you do things and the rogue like mode. it’s not a steal but it’s worth it as well as the excuses I wanted to play it again. I’ve spent 10 bucks in much worse ways.

I actually preferred Abbie arc to Ellie’s. I feel it had more meaning and direction whereas Ellie’s was boring

Only issue with the story is the order of events if they told it in the order a lot of people said it should have been it could have been 10x better even if the joel event still happened Or start the game with abby and Ellie teaming up in the start then betrayal or a wake up call moment like angry joe said

Yeah I agree. Maybe even start the game with Young Abby finding her dad and helping the zebra (act as tutorial and make us see from get go she is a good person) and then extend Abby finding her father dead segment so, we can see the outcome of Joels decision e.g. see people grieving over the bodies that have died in the hallways. Then once she finds her dad then cut to joel at beginning of the game, re telling what he did. We get see both sides at the beginning of the game.

Honestly TLOU2 was fine, I mean I hated it at first and didn't wanna give it a chance, but after 2 or more playthroughs it really does start to shine. It's such a good game, they shouldn't have called this a remaster nor should it be called a director's cut either, it's more of a port with extensions to the game. People are calling this a cash grab which I don't get, $10 if you already own the game for extra cut content, dev insights, an extra mode with months of replayability, and a decent port to PS5 for extra rendering distance and touch up to more jagged areas of the game. I think the hate for this expansion is warranted with the whole "remaster" naming thing, but the actual content is decent and fun, I think it's just coming from people who cannot and will not give this game a chance for basically the end of time, they want people to hate the game as much as they do and they shit on basically everything to do with it. I swear every time I see a PART 1 of a playthrough through TLOU2 it is filled with about 45% of all the comments just losers who sit and complain about a 4 year old game instead of just letting people be happy about a project. If they don't like the story that was written then they can just write it out of their own head-cannon.

Im sorry, but the people who complained the loudest about this game didnt play it. 8/10, one of the best games I've ever played, with the exception of some Cuckman tier writing moments and a VERY forced LGBT literal child, I enjoyed every second of it. Would highly recommend for the combat alone
