My take on the message of the game is that breeding dogs for the qualities humans want to see in them or "leveling them up" is harmful to the dogs, with a lower quality of life and lesser life span as seen when breeders make newer dog breeds. Thats why as the dogs level up, they become gradually more sick looking because that is happening irl as new breeds are made.

Yup. Selective breeding usually calls for incest, which causes deformities and a higher chance of illness.

this shows the true dark nature of inter-breeding and puppy mills, godbless those puppies stuck in cages not even having the opportunity to run outside before it dies, crammed in one cage with multiple puppies, covered in their own feces and urine. please do your own research before adopting a dog/puppy because of this. ty♡

We got our pug at a puppy mill poor thing was abused and is very kind he's nearly 4 now and was about 1 year there. The poor little thing was abused but is very happy none the less of his past. He's allergic to wheat so we make him special made food and he enjoys ^^ We love him dearly.

Basically, the more you breed dogs, the more of a chance they have health problems and dying. The pug was bred many times making them prone to breathing difficulties. This makes me sick, knowing that people are ruining these helpless animal's lives. 💙

i still remember that post they made trying to say they look up to pokemon. and as most people know Pokemon is not the best choice, probably the worse game to use to promote animal rights

My interpretation of this is, people decide that having a more "quality" dog, AKA, big cute eyes, and stubby legs is more important than having a happy & healthy dog. All the "low tier" dogs get thrown away in order to make the ideal dog breed. I personally don't like bred dogs because there are dogs out there who are in desperate need of adoption. Breeded dogs get manufactured with the sole purpose of being sold. PS/Edit: If you ever plan on getting a dog or any pet in general, do your research. :P

13:46 I'm pretty sure I know what the actual message of the game is, notice how as you 'merged' the dogs they kept getting bigger, 'Cuter' eyes? and then there was the level 8 dog with a tail on its forehead, based off a real dog with the same condition. Then, finally the skeleton dog... Overall I think the message of the game is showing how large breeders could care less about what happens to the dogs they breed as long as they look cute enough to sell well, like how pugs have trouble breathing due to how they're faces were bred to look, or how many dogs become sick due to the poor conditions they are raised in...

The "throwing the bodies in the trash" is a more tame approach to the slimy business of puppy mills and inbreeding. The choices some make are much, much worse. EDIT: The levels represent the intensity of inbreeding. A level 1 dog isn't inbred, while a level 8 dog is so inbred it is dead in five seconds from unstable genetics.

for more context on the doggy game, it is actually saying that breeding only the "better quality dogs" is bad. when you only breed dogs of the same kind they will become more and more inbred causing problems like diseases and problems with their anatomy that causes pain all at the cost of making them what the customer wants

I think the game is showing how breeders will breed dogs with serious health problems just to make them 'cute' and appealing to customers. Older dogs do need love too definitely 💗but what the game really is about is dogs being bred specifically to be super tiny and “cuter” often teacup dogs are bred to be super small and “cute” but as a result often have many health issues and higher mortality rate as you can see in the game

Teacups die a lot and cost thousands of dollars, and it’s really bad for them to be that small Dogs are supposed to be around the size of wolves, their ancestors, it would be better for them to breed them back to that size and to actually care about them The industry is fucked

Am I the only one who looked at this game and immediately thought of puppy mills? It makes perfect sense the dogs are kept in terrible conditions and the bodies pile up fast because the owners care more about the money and making the dogs cuter so they can make more of a profit. They don’t care about the less cute dogs dying

I think the game means people don't care on how the dog feels, they only care about the looks. for example, pugs. Breeders made them have a squished nose, which is cute. *However* the dog has trouble breathing and usually is more prone to sickness. Also, the best dog is the "skeleton dog", which you don't need to take care of. People only like the look of dogs, and don't actually want to take care of them.

You must take care of your baby, and take care of your cat. But you can do it at the same time but don't stress yourself out. New Story: You find a stray cat in a dark alley in Tokyo, Japan, you raised it and take it to your apartment. You are a third-year-student in a small high school, you must work as a student, and take care of your cat. But you can't do it at the same time.

I watched lauren play and now I'm like yelling at the screen for Mike to have his main focus be breeding instead of dilly dallying in the beginning lol

I think, this game's message is not about the age but about breed making. Some of the popular breeds don't even look like dogs, and, the thing is with those kind of mutations, they get uhealthy pretty quick and die faster because their sculls are deformed

I like all the dogs because basically I just love them

My take on the deep moral of this game. As you could tell from watching Mike's gameplay, he was struggling to keep the older dogs alive. They kept getting treated less and less humanely as it went on and they got older. It seemed innocent from afar, like a cute game with cute puppies and selling them, but as we neared closer to the truth, we, the player/viewer, realized how cruel this puppy selling business was. First off, they didn't even care about the dogs after they died, because you didn't get to sell them. So you stuff em in trash cans, bodies and tails flopping out of the vulgar black bags. Second, the dogs didn't even have toys. So screw their mental health, you can still sell them. What type of moral is that? And lastly, where the player gets the bad ending. Even after the hard, painful work Mike played, and he recieved thousands of dollars from, he still ended up in the end with only 919 dollars. After all of that pain, and hard work, all you get is some shit salary? But i respect whoever made this game, because they are spreading awareness. Yeah, places like this do exist. Lots of places are like this a But if you want to help the dogs from puppy mills, do not, and I mean DO NOT buy from any mills. Because if the place gets shut down, its better for everyone. Buying puppies just gets them more money. MORAL OF THE STORY: Businesses, such as Puppy Mills/Breeders can be cruel to their animals and their workers.

I watched a different KZreadr play this, but it's really intriguing to see what other people do ^^

Watching this made me want to download and play those Evolution games. I got Cat Evolution.
