Nice choise to play a Mandolin 🖤 I live in Zakynthos a Greek island at the Ionian Sea where Mandolin is the tranditional music instrument !
Very cool. I'm a Canadian, and I was in a band for 8 years with three Italian Canadian friends. We did the godfather theme as part of our set, with our singer singing the Italian lyrics. It always went over well, even though the audience had no idea what Rob was singing. I play mandolin as well as guitar (sorry) and bass (poorly). I'm going to have to learn this song on mandolin. Thanks for another great video, Dave.
As a proud Italian mandolin player, it gives me great pleasure to hear it played by a great man like you 😍

@alessiodigirolamo1635

Greetings from a Vietnamese mandolin player! Beautiful Italian songs. I love it. Thank you for sharing!

This was awesome, great playing, but I am a little disappointed you didnt play the Mandobass. Yes, it is a thing.
I must first say that I was not surprised, that you played the Mandolin so beautifully. It takes more from you than that.
Yeah, the mandolin is a very powerful instrument. I remember getting my first mandolin. It was a very emotional experience for me
Beautiful playing!

I don't know why I should be surprised at your skill on the mandolin but you surprised me. Good job.

At first I read Mandalorian and thought you were going to play the Mandalorian theme on the bass. Now I'm hoping for a video of the Mandalorian theme being played on the mandolin.
I always want to hear how this Italiano instrument plays
Sir. You have all of my respect. This is Beautiful. Never be ashamed to show this wonderful work.
That Godfather Love theme was perfect ❤
i am italian and now i finally understand what a mandolino is
Also as a mandolin player myself I now feel more inspired that one of my fav youtubers plays it along with me
In the Philippines, we have what I believe is basically the same instrument. We call it banduria, maybe that is its Spahish name. It is seldom played as a solo instrument, but usually in a large string band called a rondalla. It is common in folkloric performances, and many high schools have a rondalla group as a co-curricular activity.

Loved it! Hugs and Aloha SLAP from Maui!
Ha! I have the same mandolin. But I play bluegrass and blues. Good to see your work. Well done.
That sounded great :-) the mandolin was the second instrument I ever learned to play after the acoustic guitar of course, and then the violin was the third and that was easy to pick up on because they are tuned almost identical to the mandolin and using a bow also came very easy to me. But yeah, you made that sound beautiful on that mandolin:-)
Sei l'orgoglio dei bassisti italiani❣️
I just came back to this video after some days, relly EPIC
Loved this one. You must have practiced a lot!

A great Mandalorian - I always knew you were out of this world🙂
Fun video! I’ve been taking up mandolin lately, and wondered why it’s not a more popular instrument - after all, it’s small and lightweight, and you can learn a full song in one lesson then spend the rest of your life exploring it. But I’ve since figured out the answer: It is BRUTAL on your fretting fingers. Take the callouses you get from playing guitar, and then it’s like putting them up against a cheese grater.
0:01 Why the Mexican 🇲🇽 flag man 😂😂😂😂

YOOO!! This was EPIC!! I love hearing a mandolin being played by a true Italian. Depth to that instrument.
