This entire video from start to finish is brilliant. He's quite happy to take people's cash to view the castle (his home) but don't pay and he's suddenly bothered about privacy ! What a looney tune. Sebastian was a customer of ours in my last job and spoke to him for many years. He can be hard work when he doesn’t get his own way, but if you know how to speak to him he’s actually a lovely bloke. Took all my family and some friends up there for a visit a couple of summers ago and he let us all in for nowt, and gave the kiddies some great souvenirs and a voucher each to get themselves something from the gift shop ❤️

The real reason he didn't want you using the drone is because everyone gets to see his castle without paying him a penny 🤣

There is an interesting anomaly. Many of these Castles and Stately homes receive a payout from the government because they have signed up to allow access to the general public for visiting. I’m not sure but they could be breaking the agreement denying access while taking the concession of public funding.

Nope. That's not how the law works. Property rights are absolute. They can deny access to anyone as long as they don't discriminate against a protected characteristic

It might be a private home but it also belongs to the public through the national trust which doesn't put any restrictions on filming otherwise the CAA would put a no fly zone over the area , and if you have checked it with Drone assist , and it's perfectly legal, he doesn't have a leg to stand on .
