I imported a skid steer with enclosed cab, AC/heat, ect... and four attachments from Sinomach Hi. The tariff is 25% of purchase price, my broker cost another $1800 and you will pay sales tax... even after all that I saved over $12,000 compared to a comparable bobcat with an open cab and no additional attachments and it was on sale. So far it has been a great piece of equipment and does everything I need it to do. Attachments include the standard bucket with removable tines, pallet forks, rock bucket and a log grapple which works great!!! My total cost was less than $35,000. I recommend filling the tires with foam.

Great video, thanks for sharing! I’m going through the same thing right now with a spray foam machine. Did you have to get a customs clearance agent? What were the duty taxes on this machine? For me that was the big unknown, DHS wanting an extra $1k to let it enter the country.

I paid for the DDP (delivery duty paid) which means I don’t deal with customs or anything to do with shipping. I just wait for it to arrive. To me I’m OKC, it was about $2200 for my distance and weight.

With DDP shipping from China to Oklahoma. It’s was $2200 for the machine and $2100 for the attachments. DDP means it’s almost like ordering from Amazon or eBay. You pay the seller and the product arrives later and can even watch it with the tracking information.
Their trade assurance sucks chances of getting your money back from them pretty much nill. Better off finding yourself a good manufacturer speaking on first-hand experience when buying a CNC machine.

Oh that stinks. I did get my machine and am very happy with it. Therefor I didn’t have to find out about trade assurance fortunately.
I am speaking with Dean about one, for the same model and options as yours I was quoted 5550 for the skid, almost 4k for shipping, is this similar to the pricing you paid (without the attachments of course)

What’s that?
China is not 13 hours behind you. It is 13 hours ahead of you. When it is the first day of the month where you are at say 1400, it is already the 2nd day of the month in China. I get to have fun with that as I was born on the other side of the International Date Line and even though I was born on the 9th, I am older than many people in the US that were born on the 8th. I have only gotten to celebrate my birthday in the correct time zone twice. Once at 1 and the other at age 11. Crossing the IDL can mess you up as we left Japan at 2000 on Dec 25th and arrived at LAX at 1130 on Dec 25th and finally at Pittsburgh at 2359 on Dec 25th. We had two Dec 24ths and two Dec 25ths because of that. It took a couple days for the body to adjust for the differences in the time zones.

@@OurLifeInTrees I am interested in seeing how well that unit works out for you. One option I would like to see is a seat that can swing over to sit on instead of standing all the time. Some standup mowers have them as an option. They have a safety switch on them just like the foot plates have. I think I would have gone for a bigger auger bit as I need to plant a number of 8x8 posts in the ground and a 12 inch bit would be better for that. It looks like a well built unit.
