WOW guys. Back in 1989 I NEVER would have believed something like this could exist. This was originally part of a live stream that I did a few months ago with the intention of turning it into a full video. Hope you enjoyed it!

Well said. 😂
First game i ever played, my father played it with me when i played it the first time. I always tried to rekindle that flame. My father never wanted to play anymore after. That game, and mario, and duck hunt are what we played. Both are what got me into video games. I'll never forget the special memories my father gave me. I miss him everyday like you miss your father.

I really recommend getting the cowabunga collection. i got it for my switch and it was only 40 bucks. it has all the Konami TMNT games. even the ones for the Gameboy. It even has online play but, sometimes it's pretty difficult to find anyone to play with. Plus it's super laggy if you have more than 2 players. But it's totally worth the 40 bucks!

Did your Dad ever look into buying an old arcade machine ever? Arcades were literally dumping them out the back after the crash, so some classics were going for pennies, probably even for free they wanted rid of them so quickly.

There was one time we were very close to buying a Bionic Commando cabinet we found for sale at a local arcade in our Mall. It was priced at $150 in like 1994. Goes for over $3000 today. Almost pulled the trigger that day but Dad thought we didn’t have space for it and my Mom wouldn’t be into it haha.

Hey look, it's a " Honey I Shrunk The Turtles Arcade Cabinet " LoL
you Know Tyler, after subscribing to your channel and going back and watching many of your videos i realize that you and me are very much alike. I'm 33, you are a few years older than me, your dad, Mark, bless his soul, passed away in 2007, like you i too lost a parent, my mom Louise died in 2008 from brain cancer. she always supported me in anything i did or liked. i remember when she bought me a gameboy advance and one time she bought me a PS2. my parents also went through a divorce when i was entering my teens. my adopted father and i never really got along, but i always connected with my mom. the love your dad had for you was immeasurable and it shows in every single video. you were so lucky to have a dad like Mark. i wish he was still here. he'd be so proud of you. thank you for sharing your amazing dad with the world. every would be dad should aspire to be the dad Mark was to you. your videos show that games can do so much more than just entertain us, they can bring back good memories from our past, help us heal and help us move forward in our lives. my mom giving me a PS2 all those years ago is what lead me to collect videogames today as an adult. so, again thank you Tyler for sharing your story of your dad with us, he still has an impact today on all of us and inspires us to be our best self.
That's pretty cool that they have the original intro music, rather than the re-make they did for the 1up, and Cowabunga collection!!
Nice! I hope they do the Simpsons arcade next. TMNT and Simpsons were my favorite arcades as a kid.
I never thought it would be possible to have so many gaming KZreadrs when KZread first came out blessed to see all from 1980-Now what a life of gaming

lol What about the friend that scored the TurboGraFx for Christmas?
These are neat as a novelty, but the price is hard to justify. I am limited on space, but did pick up the first A1up TMNT cabinet. I don't have room for a ton of them, but that one was a must buy. The one thing this has over that is they licensed the original theme song (something A1up fixed on their later cabinet, but does me no good now). But in terms of actually having the actual experience of standing in front of the cabinet and playing it with actual arcade controls, it scratches the itch. I am tempted at some point to try and buy the PCB for the later cabinet from ebay and see if I can swap it out with the one on my current cabinet to fix the music issue. Like I said before, these are kind of neat as a novelty item. But I wouldn't see myself sitting down and playing through the games from start to finish in this manner. The arcade controls themselves are essentially unusable. While it is nice that there are other controller options, it kind of defeats the purpose of even having an arcade cabinet, and either way it requires awkwardly starring at this small screen. And you can't hold the cabinet while playing it, so you have to put it on something where it is at eye level so you aren't having to hunch or bed your neck to play it. It is just not a convenient or ideal way to actually play through an arcade game like this IMO. If I want the experience of playing it on an arcade cabinet, I'll use my A1up. If I want the convenience of playing with some kind of regular controller, I have the Cowabunga Collection for both Switch and Playstation. Yes, it unfortunately does have the cover version of the theme for the first arcade, which is disappointing, but in terms of playing the game, I can either play on a nice TV in a comfortable manner, or I can play it on the Switch in handheld mode, which while also being played on a small screen, is actually portable and I can easily have the screen in a comfortable position. If these were more like $50 each (maybe $100 at most, and that is still VERY iffy), I might be tempted to get at least both of the TMNT cabinets in this form, just because of how much of a fan I am of them. And while I can easily afford it, I still consider $50 to be a lot for a novelty item with a single game on it that, after initially getting it and messing with it a bit, I will likely never actually sit down and play.

Boy, you can talk 😂. Almost didn’t mind reading.
Played the arcade game with my older brother and some friends and when we got to the last level half of the arcade started watching us. Had to be 1990 or so. We had an audience and we beat the game. An experience I'll never forget
I remember walking up to the concessions and there was a wall with 3 huge ninja turtles arcades and tons of kids grinding the game not one open spot and more in line with their parents. There were so many kids they were so far into the game fighting bosses i could never get to because no one gave the machines a chance to game over. Yep that's how big turtles were. It was also secret of the ooze premier so that made it even worse.
I'm surprised they used the original theme with this! Almost every modern port (minus the XBLA version) they either removed it entirely or was a cover version. So to hear it back again is shocking and so mesmerizing.
Wow! Born in the 80's and loving TMNT me and my cousin, playing the arcade in shopping mall's and chucky cheese. Growning up in the 90's, I use to wish I could've own Turtles arcade myself. Thanks man! I most certainly intend to
I'm the same age, a few months younger. Back then I was obsessed with TMNT. Those arcade games were some of the best out there that weren't strictly in the fighting or light gun genres. That recent Shredder's Revenge title is freaking amazing, such a sick throwback while modernizing the formula to an extent. I'd love to get one of the real arcade cabinets, TMNT or SF2 or whatever, doesn't matter. The only one my old man ever got to my knowledge was a Goonies cabinet that I played to death as a kid. He's more of a pinball collector, has several thousand of those things.
Man! I love it ! I have The Simpsons Arcade cabinet and it brought my childhood back full force.
As cool as these are I think the controls are just to small. But I'm glad these bring you so much joy Tyler. I hope you will be having fun with this.
4 people trying to play on that at once would be a game of its own lol
Thing is, that’s always been the size of the arcade cabinet.. we were just really small back then.
Sitting here watching this video, I have the vinyl soundtracks for the first three TMNT NES games sitting on the couch next to me!
back in 1989 i just started high school & do remember the ninja turtles arcade game. I've have played in the arcade & i did have it on the nes at the time. it was a good game. but I've seeing the turtles in time but I've never played it
8 year old me would be in heaven with this 1/4 sized arcade. Adult me would be pretty darn excited too!
Loved this video! Nostalgia overload :) thanks for your wonderful story and review
For $200, I'm making room somewhere for a full sized arcade, putting that kind of money towards that and modding it so I can play every arcade game from my retro childhood :)
Ugh, these mini-cabinets were so tempting to me as well. But I couldn't justify the price!
Good times playing TMNT on the arcade Konami made some good arcade I didn't even know about turtles in Time till later and man and when Ninja turtles 2 on the NES I used to have the copy with the Pizza Hut personal pan pizza coupon those were good times It made me fell in love and Ninja turtles all over again and I'm glad they can now be brought back the cowabunga collection
Very cool novelty. I just wouldn’t ever see my self playing something so small.
Arcade cabinets are just the best. Although I admit I would love to have a 1UP arcade of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. But if I had a choice to have an arcade game cabinet, they would be either of these choices, The "Star Wars" Death Star arcade, The Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator cockpit, or Alien 3: The Gun.
I remember when I first saw tmnt on arcade. It was mind-blowing. When The Simpsons arcade game came out too, it was a competition to se which one was better. In the end both games were and still are masterpieces. I'm trying to introduce my son to these games via retro emulation. I'll get there one day 😉

I'm surprised they got the actual 1987 theme. The 1Ups & Cowabunga Collection use a cover.
A 1/4 of the size without having to wait in a long line to play it. Not quite the same as owning an actual arcade cabinet and experiencing the glow of the CRT but it's definitely a neat novelty item.
I've put to many hours into tmnt the arcade for NES. Amazing port for a 8bit
I have a mini version of TMNT arcade, a lot smaller than yours. It’s an exact replica of the quarter arcade cabinet.
It is cool as hell wish they made more machines & the price wasnt the same as a full size cab if you were to build it yourself
Too small for my aging eyes but would make a nice decoration for the Holidays in nothing else. I'd pay 30 bucks for it.

Its over 200 on their website. Yeah..not worth it.
They actually have the original arcade cabinet for ninja turtles where I live. I've been debating on buying it but it's 1,000.
Possibly one of the best mini cabinets I've ever seen! Hopefully I can get one soon!
Starting in 1989 my parents had my birthday at Pepi's Pizza and Arcade in my small NY hometown. Every year it was the same thing. My school friends and I would get fat on extra cheese pizza and big pitchers of coca cola, then run to the over 100 cabinet strong Arcade room and play TMNT Arcade and The Simpsons for hours wasting token after token. Simple but amazing memories. I even found a picture of my friends and I on my 7th birthday playing the TMNT cabinet recently. That was 32 years ago now. Feels like that 32 years has flown by looking back on it, but I have such special memories that will never fade of those moments with this game.
"Thar' she blows"
It is very cool as a collector's item or decoration but not very practical to play with
I've seen the Pac-Man ones and I'm always tempted to get one for my American Girl doll Courtney cause she's an 1986 historical character doll.

From a fellow Ninja Turtles fan, Cowabunga dude! 🐢🍕🥰I love TMNT, and I'm an 80's kid at heart too! Love the OG Turtles! I went to see them at the San Diego Zoo and the Coming out of their Shells Concert too! I was a cute 6-7 year old back then. Seeing your home movies is so awesome, like watching my own. 😁 Love that your mom kissed Raph! 🥰🐢 So sorry for loosing your dad, may he rest in heaven! 🙏 😢 😇 PS: I've been watching the 2012 Nickelodeon Turtles, and it's really good. A bit better, but just as good as the original series. There's a crossover episode in the series you'll love! 😍🐢🍕 Plus I myself still have all my toys, Sewer, Technodrome, April and Turtle Van's, Blimp, and an Arcade 1Up machine! 🕹🎮 I even had the pleasure of meeting Brian Tochi who voices Leo in the movies 2 years ago in Tulsa, OK! I got his autograph and loved talking to him with my mom, who is the coolest too! 🥰🥰
I am so glad that you got one! Price means nothing when it comes to memories! Enjoy! :)

Man, i really want to like it. But If i'm going to buy any type of arcade cabinet. I want standard arcade joysticks. the ones on the cab itself are too small. I wouldn't mind if it came with controllers with said joysticks and buttons, but yeah. Doesn't look very appealing to me. It still looks cool though!
Looks pretty great, but at that price point it would be great if it had a HDMI out. Awesome toy, though!
$299?! That's wild.
Cool! But $299 is too rich for my blood. I was thinking it was around $75 or $90.
It's cool. But it's also the same price I paid for my Turtles Arcade1up cabinet 3 years ago. I can't see paying that much for something that tiny. Seems way too hard to use the control panel and a plug in controller is kinda missing the point of playing an arcade cabinet.
