I was a bigger Batman fan but you couldn't deny the greatness that both shows offered. As far as games go both franchises had some great games but the fact X-Men had fighting games was so badass and made X-Men the better choice. I saw y'all playing Mutant Apocalypse in the beginning; that was such a solid game too.

Honestly, I can't say I didn't want to do the exact same thing and not just in 3 but also in vice city, and san andreas, I think 4 is where I started doing all the story missions, but I can't say I didn't also just mess around in that one too!

I actually grew up with the 2003 version of the Ninja Turtles (when it was mostly in that pseudo-anime style that was popular in the 2000’s), so when I first discovered the 80’s version via one of those weird grocery store rides, I was totally weirded out by seeing the turtles with huge smiles and actual eye pupils. 😂 Later on, my youngest brother got into his own Ninja Turtles phase right around the time the ‘07 movie came out, and we ended up renting both the 80’s cartoon and even one of the live action movies. It was like seeing my old favorite franchise under a totally different dimension, not realizing we were watching just a different era/version of it. When you think about it, TMNT’s almost like how an old fairy tale has been presented: Pulled through so many hands, versions, styles and vibes that you don’t have a universal thought about what they are in the same way you’d think of SpongeBob or Spiderman. The way one thinks about TMNT almost seems to be generational, and I almost find that fascinating!

My dad was THE one who got me into video games. From the age of 6 until my age at 51 now, I owe my love of video games to my beloved dad. You make good medicine for us older gamers who have lost the loved ones who were with us and gave us the best memories and times with video games. Thanks forever, Ty!er.

The single game that got me into gaming forever. Leveling up the chao introduced me to stat leveling and I never looked back. Pretty much played the game just for that lol. It's been an adult dream of mine to make a chaos chao but I really only play when my family gets together around the holidays. But I got this christmas morning a little late in like 2004, along with mario sunshine, animal crossing, and a few other classics. These are all the games I think of from my childhood, and I have a special story for all of them haha. But SAB2 is the one we all mainly play together when we all get together, that, and Super Monkey Ball 2 aged extremely well. I could go on forever

Children of the Atom is fire and in my opinion the very start of the Marvel vs Capcom series. With the collection being announced this week, I'm so hyped to play CotA again and they added Juggernaut and Magneto as playable characters for the first time.

I kept waiting for the X-men games on N64 and 32X. At least I bought a used copy of Spider-Man Web of Fire on the 32X. I got it on the early days of online shopping for $10 or $15.

I remember going to K-mart and all the turtle figures were always $4.99. A dream price today. Haha. Or going to kay bee toys and sometimes they were 2 for $7.99 or 3 for $10.99. Something like that. I remember eating that cereal also with the bowl that came with it as well. So many memories. My favorite turtles were the universal monsters. Or trying to win the pluses from the claw machines. Which was impossible. Then power rangers came out. A whole another story there.

Great video, Tyler! Turtlemania was awesome. In 1994 here in Russia we woke up in the morning to watch the new episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles too. Toys, comics, movies, videogames - all of this was so cool, and it is our childhood as yours. Thanks for memories!

Bro your channel is pure gold and should be part of gaming history. You’ve not only captured a beautiful time in gaming but also the emotion and thrill that came along with it. The joy of being a kid in the 90’s is captured perfectly in these videos unlike anything else on this platform. Thank you for sharing. I hope this channel gets the exposure it deserves. Much appreciated.

My dad was equally obsessed with ninja turtles. His favorite was Raphael too. When he was 3, some extended family came back from America to give him some turtle toys (we live in Ireland so we had teenage mutant HERO turtles) and he was ecstatic about them.

Wow Great video. TMNT smashed it here in Australia as well in the early 90's, I had a bunch of the early figurines, my mate had a pizza thrower that I was really jelly of and our local fish and chip shop had a original TMNT arcade that I always begged my mum for 20 cent coins (quarters) while we waited for the order. It was always satisfying beating Beebop and on to the sewer. I asked my dad to build me one of those cabs for Christmas but he did the next best thing and got me a NES with the side-scroller TMNT. I tried to at least save the damn dam each try. Then I got TMNT II for NES and got word of the B, A, B, A, Up, Down, B, A thing and wondered how the Pizza Hut voucher didn't apply in my area. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

By 1996 I had already been married for four years. I started to long for the OG Arcades from my era (1979-1984), so I decided to try and find one or see if one even existed anymore. There wasn't one anywhere and not surprisingly I would come across side rooms in theaters or maybe a corner in a mall that may have up to seven games. This is what was being called an Arcade? This is what you Millennials were left with? You guys reeeeallly missed the good ones.

I’ll never forget a kid in my 5th grade class (or was it 4th?🤔) saying that Nintendo was coming out with a new system called “dolphin”. I always thought he was confused because at that point it was already renamed gamecube now over 23 years later turns out he was right 😅 it did start off as 🐬

Once you looked up at that ring for the first time was just amazing. I still go back and play halo every 1/17. I still have the halo green OG xbox and about 10 games.

I was 6 when the first wave of TMNT figures hit store shelves in 1988. I had been watching the cartoon pilot, so I was primed and ready to start collecting the toys. My parents took me to Kmart and bought me Michelangelo and the rest is history. I watched the movies and cartoon, collected dozens of figures, bought the trading cards, wore the clothes, made homemade nunchucks, had pretend backyard ninja brawls fighting Foot Soldiers with friends, drew TMNT pictures, ate the canned TMNT Spaghetti-O's, played the video games, crawled into storm drains looking for the Turtles...everything. It was about 1993 that I started to feel Turtle fatigue. My toy purchases screeched to a halt after I bought the Movie III figures because the "themed" turtles started to become ridiculous to me. Birthday Turtles, Farmer Turtles, Turtle Trolls...even I, as an 11-year-old felt like Playmates was milking the IP. I moved on to Legos at that point, but on occasion I'd scope out the TMNT section just for kicks and I recall seeing Hot Spot on the shelf next to Mona Lisa. I actually thought both were idiotic ideas and designs and it was then I officially walked away from TMNT as a child. Thankfully, I saved all my TMNT figures I'm a mild vintage toy collector and my favorite line to collect is Masters of the Universe, but I've bought some pretty nice TMNT lots over the past decade. I've found two Chef Shredders (Google it if you're not sure the significance of that is) and my most valuable find was a Giant 13" Slam Dunkin' Don figure, WITH THE BALL. Never found a Hot Spot or Scratch figures, though. Even though I was caught up in Turtle Mania, I only ever bought TMNT lots to fuel my MOTU collection (which I've since completed). It's weird, but I have more nostalgia for MOTU than I do TMNT, even though I was only 5 when that toyline ended. I passed along all my original TMNT figures to my son, who is now 14 and way too old for TMNT, so the intention is to have him pass them to his kids. Anyways, that's my Turtle Mania story.
