I mean sure the trade federation leaders and stuff are scummy and working for the sith, but such is not the case for the regular people of the cis, they could tell the republic was becoming an empire and they tried to stop it, all the atrocities committed by the empire in the following years to come could have been avoided if they had just been allowed to secede and exist separate from the republic. I mean, bothan space was independent so idk what the big deal was.

He believed in the cause and now is watching it go down the drain as the New Republic repeats the same mistakes as the Old. His actions this episode screams of desperation for his fight to not disappear into galactic history. The Outer Rim deserves to determine its own fate free of the core worlds.

Well you know most cis people were a part of the republic and had been for many thousands of years. Funny enough the aotc deleted scene after padme was captured. Dooku refers to the separatists as a rebellion and offers padme to support the cis. If you look it up providence cruisers were basically just proto mon cal mc80s anyway, so they really are basically the same in almost every way, save for the fact that the trade federation and stuff under nute gunray and the others were constantly up to serious crimes against innocent people, but the rest of the worlds seemed quite harmless. I mean even grievous, the most feared leader in the galaxy only became evil because the jedi and republic allowed his people to be genocided. So he is not even really that bad a guy, the jedi were clearly invested more in supporting the worlds that offered more to the republic politically.

That moment in rots when anakin says padme is starting to sound like a separatist when she starts talking truth to him lol. I too originally liked the clones and jedi, but when I got older I realized the cis were the good guys the whole time.
Another great cause highjacked by the sith. I just love how in George wanted to present the sith as basically this corrupting force like the devil that would slither its way into every good cause and transform it to become unrecognizable and horrific

Even the trade federation started off as a good organization, defending agaisnt pirates until the sith took over. Very corrupting, and so fitting that the siths main method of control was using plagueis' banking connections. How accurate.
"Comissioner? No, my name is Hacker!"
This edit hits hard. From Helgait’s POV he has been fighting this fight since he was young. As the years pass he has seen every single one of his comrades die and his cause get discredited. He believed in the cause and now is watching it go down the drain as the New Republic repeats the same mistakes as the Old. His actions this episode screams of desperation for his fight to not disappear into galactic history. The Outer Rim deserves to determine its own fate free of the core worlds.
The most legendary ending for star wars would be a CIS uprising after all of the disney crap.

I know right, i mean enough ex cis fighters joined the rebel alliance afterward, you'd think people like this guy would have found a place in the new republic. At least in the original new republic they would have been welcomed as heros, disneys version seems really weird, almost like they are a company that doesnt like good guys or something.
I don't know how I got there, but this montage is pretty good!
Glory to the CIS
Even as a Republican, I have a soft spot for the CIS. They were good people co-opted by a sinister force for evil and twisted into something that ultimately went arwy. Sometimes, I wonder how the Galaxy would have turned out if a legitimate Separatist movement actually succeeded, because as much as I love the Republic, I honestly wouldn't mind fighting for it even if losing was inevitable.

Well you know most cis people were a part of the republic and had been for many thousands of years. So its not like the two are truly that different in terms of civilian populations or culture or history, its really only the droid army that made them appear different. In battles between regular people I am sure you would have been much more hardpressed to notice who was on which side.
my theory is that this guy will be broken out of prison by thrawn or one of his minions and will then go to one of the abandoned droid factories and start producing droids for his army
Wow this guy showed up in one episode and yet is amazing
Best thing from s3
I approve of this video!

We fight not just to the last droid, but to the last man.
Oh i wish i was in the land of droids
I am a sepratist
Well if you think about it the CIS was a rebel of poor exploited outer-rims words against empire of rich core worlds know as Republic Is that so different from Empire and rebels conflict? The only difference was now that infantry wasn’t produced in fabrics but was recruited from free worlds and empire was much more superior

I think the real heroes of starwars was the senate even do they were on different sides of the war but they always have a of supporting democracy and negotiating with peace between the parties

He wouldn’t have been a true separatist then, just using the title as a cloak
this was a very good idea to bring separatism back to star wars, yet it was made so foolsih and childish that i forgot this even existed in the show till now
