I got a ak103 right as Corona popped off. It came zeroed out of the box and has been amazingly accurate. I'll take the FN barrel all the little improvements they made over a clone correct 103 any day

Absolutely! Frankly screw the “103 clone” thing this is the best 7.62x39 thrower on the market ATM. Accurate as the round will let it be, reliable and frankly super fun. PSA did a WONDERFUL job. Home run

I love my 103. I had a soft firing pin and got light strikes, but I keep a few around anyway so no big deal. I managed to get zenitco to fit with a large hammer and some minor filing.

I have a Kalashnikov KR 103, no mag wobble at all, using bulgarian, steel, or plastic, and circle 10 mags....tight as it should be...this gun is PERFECTION!

Absolutely man thank you for making them. I just ordered my 3rd ak from psa this time I got the 103 can’t wait to get it.

JMac Customs make some amazing suppressor mounts for all AK thread pitches, I personally switched out my Keymo with the RRD-360 mount, the mount is shorter and half the weight of a Keymo. With all your adapters it would cut the length and weight significantly!

Man I can't wait to get back and play with my 103 and put all accessories, especially my triangle folder on it. The triangle looks so sexy. Only a few more months

@@LarpingSupply I feel you on that. I lived in Cali most of my life, up until I was 19 then I enlisted and got stationed in a free state. Wish I had bought a zpap before the coof happened but it is what it is. Currently deployed I got a psa 103 waiting for me and I've been ordering a lot of parts, a bulgarian triangle, a dong, bakelite pistol grip, and a ultimak. She's gonna look so pretty.

Great looking rifle. I have AK 103 with fixed wood stock. Its most accurate AK I have ever shot. And I shot couple of different AKs.

I have a few PSA AKs but my cans are in jail currently. My buddy is having trouble getting his sandman s to line up. He has the GF5 with the 14x1lh threads and running a Jmac keymo brake. I told him to call PSA and see what's up. Nice video.

I pop mine out easy any time I want. I have a steel triangle and a plum sidefolder both 4.5mm.if it's too tight put bottom of pin in drill chuck at the narrow part of the pin and with 500 grit sandpaper polish it a couple seconds and try it .Polish it till it fits

Guess I'm the only one who hates the feel of the US palm pistol grip. Finally got an AK back into my collection after about a decade. If the US palm is the gold standard for AK grips then that's a bit of a let down. I'll try a magpul next, if that also sucks I'll just stick to stock. Do AK guys look for the opposite of what AR guys look for in a pistol grip aka crappier angle and less contour?

A good-looking light rifle. Maybe there would be some market appetite for threaded barrels with no front sight post, e.g. the WWSD guys are defending their current AR-15 design, which is optics-only, lacking any iron sights or backup sights.

I can’t get over the garbage handguard they use in the WWSD project frankly. If Stoner was alive he would absolutely not use a garbage Handguard due to eliminating the ability to reliably mount IR thus cutting your combat effectiveness effectively in half. Not to mention it’s a fucking Carbine buffer... in 2021 who uses Carbine buffers....

@@LarpingSupply It was not my intention to get into a defense of the WWSD design decisions. There are, however, mounting options for multiple devices off of the receiver, while keeping the muzzle end lighter. Istr those guys contemplating some kind of night fighting plan or support, specifically a "passive" approach with a QD AN/PVS-14 or thermal or other behind the optic. If the recoil is really very manageable, the benefits from a vertical foregrip are diminished, & if you can hang everything off the receiver, more or less (maybe excepting stuff like forward-mounted pressure pads for the flashlight), you could even bareback it wrt handguards, or go for the absolute lightest or most expedient option, like those Brigand carbon fiber braids, or a paper towel center tube or sth. It's a mid-length gas system. I guess those guys have thought about the details of tuning it. I was a bit sour about the barrel (16", 1:8). Would have gone with a 14.5" 1:9 or maybe even less twist with a can, feeling that lighter bullets (not to exclude the current 52g AP) were more in keeping with a CQB gunfighter philosophy, for which the cartridge remains very well-suited, rather than as a current infantry rifle for which it no longer does.

@@GM4ThePeople I agree the 16IN barrel is also absolutely not something that makes sense. 14.5 is absolutely usable. As for passive aiming with NVG it’s very difficult and much slower. Frankly it’s similar to night sights. Useless because you can’t shoot what you can’t see. You absolutely need an IR illumination device and if you have one having a laser is absolutely a no brainer. Frankly an IR laser is just significantly faster. Though passive aiming is more for peer on peer. Anyway the WWSD rifle is more of “Let’s make a ultralight yet reliable rifle” not at all well WWSD IMO

Question, could you use some sand paper to hand sand the 4.5mm pin to take off some material if needed??

Have you used the 103 with the nitride barrel? Looking at that one

I just got my psa 103 about 5 days ago. Mine doesn't have the psa logo on the trunion like yours. It has no logo at all, which I like. I grabbed a couple of the gen 3 reinforced Pmags for it just to have a couple decent mags and I had to shave a few thousandths off the back side of the magazine right above the steel locking tab for them to lock in. The rivets all seemed good. I couldn't see any gaps or slip a sheet of paper under them. I haven't checked concentricity yet but hopefully I got lucky with mine.

Dose your bolt carrier to seems to wobble more than normal , I have psa ak103 and gf3 and my ak103 bolt carrier seems to wobble more than normal .

I have same gun. enjoyed the video. Going to be adding an ALG trigger and KNS piston. I’m currently Running a BlueForce Vickers AK sling, the new Primary Arms 1x acss chevron on a gen2 Midwest Industries AK Side Rail, and a MagPul moe+ hand grip. I want to add that style triangle stock on mine with that pouch as well. Not sure on hand guards was thinking Altimak upper and TDI lower but you got me rethinking that 🤔 💭 i might just do a TDI lower and a Cheese 🧀 Grater upper ? Question 🙋🏼‍♂️ Did you need the entire kit for the triangle folder or just the stock. My rifle is the folder version.

New to the ak platform but can’t find any answers I need.. is it possible to swap the triangle folding stock to an M4 style ?

In the video you said that the SLR handguard is 13.5 but in the build list above it says that the SLR handguard is 11.5. So which is it for sure? Thank you....

What size is the factory muzzle break on the psa 103?

Where did you get the triangle folder? What do you think about the DAG-13 adjustable gas block?

Measure your Piston and use KNSs chart I think it’s the AKM one but I don’t remember at all

I bought the gf3 with the nitride barrel. Is the fn barrel that much more accurate? I should've bought that one damn haha.

Which version of the slr gas tube and hand guard works for the psa103? They have A, B and S for hand guard based on sling loop position

That’s what PSA thought but their solution was to simply replace the whole barrel assembly so there’s no way to pinpoint it.

Before my tragic boating accident I had a few binary triggers. They where pretty fun but highly unreliable and purely range toys. If you want a viable weapon this is a much better option. If you want a toy then it’s a toss up for sure.

Hypothetically, if they all had AKs and an sks, would having an RPK with the lightest ALG trigger/red dot in the mix be better than just another AK?

Volume of fire is always welcome. But you could achieve similar results with an AKM pattern rifle and large mags. Idk if it where for a practical use I’d personally prefer a 103. But this is a hypothetical where the man follows the constitution not illegal laws and said man had access to a drill press and a standard RPK trigger then obviously I would side with the RPK due to the beefed up trunnion and barrel to handle sustained cyclic fire.

My old boss told me that if a customer is really satisfied, they’ll tell 3 people on average, if they have a bad experience, they’ll tell 10 people. What’s your least favorite thing about the gun?

Not because of any issues at all but rather I have been investing to much time in it and I have such little time I’m wasting my range time not training. So I’m going to sell it… but likely in a few years will trade or buy one back as I have more time and funds.

you do you, but imo, the metal stock is downgrade from the ak-100 stock.. also the "charging handle knobs" are just stupid, they just ad weight to already heavy bolt, bolt carrier combo and make it less reliable, other than that, pretty solid rifle.

Is anyone having issues mounting the ultimak to their psa rifle? I have a brand new 103 and the rifle is awesome except i cant seem to get the ultimak to work. The piston/bcg is binding about 3/4 of an inch out of battery. I havent seen anyone else have this issue, any suggestions?

I had that same issue but due to getting a second Bolt Carrier from PSA during the repair I was able to drop in my old one and it worked. I honestly don’t know the fix other then... well... “tuning” the Piston.

I had the same issue, according to ultimak, you just put 3 layers of beer can under it. It works 100%. They (ultimak) were also really responsive and gave me a great response time

That is the 11.5 not the 13.5. The 11.5 has 5 mlok slots while the 13.5 has 6.
