I've been an Elvis fan for 54 years. I visited my older cousin on a weekly basis as his mother and my mother were close. One day I went into his room and he was playing an LP. I had no idea who Elvis was or what he looked like. The song I later understood was Always on my mind. At that age I wouldn't have understood the lyrics but what caught my attention was the sound and tone of his voice. From then on I was hooked. You either get it or you don't. If you don't you have the emotional capacity of a brick as for me nobody has ever been able to interpret lyrics like Elvis.

When I was young my parents had one of his gospel albums, I had no idea who he was but I fell in love with his voice. Still love his voice.

I don't know if Elvis did this song in concert after he stopped making movies - but I hope he did, it's so beautiful. We are rapidly coming up to the 50th anniversary of Elvis death, and I think EPE and the movie industry are missing a chance. Elvis did 31 movies, 2 documentaries (3??), the 68 Special, the Aloha from Hawaii concert and the recent Baz movie. I don't know who owns the rights to all of these movies and such, but EPE should partner with a national movie chain and have an Elvis movie day once a month. Currently the movie industry is in a slump, but there are so many of us Elvis fans that an Elvis movie day would bring in the fans. I know I'd go. Yeah, some of the movies are pretty cheesy, but so what? And it would also continue to introduce EP to new fans. The 68 Special has been expanded to 90 minutes 0 and there's probably more footage that could be included. The Aloha concert was 60 minutes, but could be combined with other shorts like "King of Kindness." Cheesy, corny or exciting, I think EP could still pack them in. My aim is to contact EPE with the suggestion, and hope they pick it up and run with it. Feel free to add your voice. Ray - SO glad to see you. Glad business in NY went well - a sponsor, maybe??? Some of these movie performances are extremely good and entertaining Elvis put his all into it even though sometimes he didn’t agree with the movie. Why? Because he cared about the end result watch him he sang this with passion I love this song. He himself said Tickle Me was entertaining and the performance of Feels So Right is sexy as hell. He even won the Golden Laurel award for best musical performance for Tickle Me in 1966! See if u know your facts you would know the movies are more than what they seem. Listen to the interview in 72 maybe he was disappointed in Hollywood about the way they saw him. But no one could have pulled those movies off no one. TCB⚡️
