Caleb Higgs it’s a bass vi. Tuned like a guitar but one octave lower. The Beatles used them for a couple of recordings and the cure (who were major blink influences) were big fans of them. Mark mentions it in a gear video somewhere

@@stephensporman8206 it's better now than a few years ago, for sure. He kills it in this performance. Some of his best live vocals. And his voice is so unique that it's hard to even listen to Skiba.

Gotta love 0:20 where the drums pause and the guitar finishes the bar on its own, as well as the strumming pattern at 1:06. It's the simple touches that make this live version so good.

to keep it real: tom is there playing a way simpler pattern which is easier to play while singing. imo it's not as good as the recording pattern.

If they stayed together this band was on the verge of ultimate super stardom. Selling out stadiums with 70 thousand people in Japan where they can't even understand the lyrics. They were still young. Tom wasnt even thirty. Wildddddd

The ending is absolutely majestic. The shot at 3:10 makes me think of the state of their relationship during this time. Mark and Tom not even acknowledging each other at all, both pointing in opposite directions getting ready to go their own ways while a great friendship falls apart.

Back when Tom didn't sound drunk on every show.

This version is so good, I love these guys, mark is so awesome and his bass tone is on point, and if anyone is wondering he's playing a Fender Bass VI, it's a six string bass, it's in the same tuning as a guitar but an octave down, sounds good in the mix for "I Miss You" and is sweet bass for an awesome bass player

I used to play this video on my cybercafe back in 2006-2007. It’s strange, to see it today.

Everything is perfect in this concert, bass and guitar tone, both vocals

I was never a Blink 182 fan before a couple days ago when I went down the rabbit hole. I've been listening to them non stop ever since. These guys are a fucking amazing band. It's too bad I wrote them off as a teeny pop punk band when they first came out, because I missed out on a lot of amazing music over the years. I'm glad and proud to be a fan now. Also this performance is fucking amazing! One of the best live videos I've ever seen. I can't say enough good things about this band.
