So here is the trick... Keep the factory NPP exhaust on and replace the cats with Soul Performance High-Flow Sport Cats... I promise you will love it!!! If you want pops you will get them!

I’ve been wondering about that, too. I love the tone of the OEM performance exhaust, but I want it to be louder and still retain the valves. I’m gonna look for a video of the Soul cat setup.

I put the Borla ATAK on my C8. If you want loud it's loud. Sounds best when left in track mode. Keeps the 4 cyclinders from shutting off too.

Maybe try keeping the factory exhaust and just change out the cats to hi flow. I was thinking about doing the hi flow cats on mine as I have seen some good results. Factory sound but louder and you retain the valve function. I was thinking about going with Soul.

I like the tone of the OEM performance exhaust as well, just want more volume. High flow cars may be the best way to go.

I find it very interesting that the exhausts I’ve heard in person sounds much better than on videos. I’ve installed the Corsa XTreme exhaust on our 2022 C8. The sound in person sounds so much more aggressive. Cheers!

AWE Touring is your huckleberry, no drone and maintains a more exotic nature than the MBRP stuff.

Sports cats with oem exhaust would've likely been what you were aiming for

Mbrp only has drone for the first few weeks then it goes away once carbon starts to build up inside.

I put Fabspeed on my C8 and love it!!!

I think it sounds great. I need one now.

The C8 is a great car for nice, long sandal pedal pumping!

I installed a Paragon track exhaust on my C8. Its retained the high pitch sound. no valves on mine. the only draw back is from 2600-3200 RPM theres quite the drone imo. this is my 1st ever sports car. ive only owned 2 Hyundai Elantras in my life. then the c8 lol, so i cant really compare lol

I put AWE on mine, and it now sounds incredible with no drone. I got the Touring model. They give you everything you need except the black heat shield tape that you can get from Paragon. So, when you look in by the tail pipes you don't see the silver heat shield.

@@_Car_Ideas Yes it is! And quiet until you do a hard acceleration. Also, No Drone in the car. The Track model is even louder. The come with simulators for the exhaust valves so you don't get a CEL.

@@_Car_Ideas Yes it can be. I love mine, has just the right amount of noise for me. I believe the AWE Track edition had the 360 anti-drone technology like the Touring does.

Are you on the lock point on your quick jacks? It looks like it's not even past the first lock. Be careful!

Re: Ceramic coating. I had Xpel paint protection film applied all across the Bronco instead of ceramic coating. I'd say it paid for itself just on our last outing. All the branches scraping across it didnt get through to the paint at all. Highly recommend.

@@KaitRose The trick is getting it sooner rather than later. If you have too many chips, PPF can't be applied properly. I only drove on the test drive and to the PPF shop, and there were already chips. It's expensive, but I think worth every penny.

The Z06 is the one that sound exotic, not so much the C8. It has a different engine, so it will never really sound like a Z06. The C8's sound like a V8, which pretty much will be deep like this in the end no matter what you do. I think it sounds GREAT, but I understand if you do not like it. I kept mine factory for now...like you, I like the OG sound. If you do end up keeping it, the tips need to go back a bit more. #TeamCorvette

the C8 stingray is said to have exotic pitch because of the X pipe. its usually more high pitch than most over cross plane V8's. Some AFM exhaust for the C8 are really deep sounding however.

Good comment. Yes stock exhaust and tips look great now that it’s seems everyone is going for rounds tips which doesn’t even look unique any more. Even the C8 with the pro charger setup just don’t match the look of the car in my opinion. The best sounding I have heard is the C8 with the Magy supercharger on them.

Had armytrix on my 2022 c8 - that thing was crazy loud - but u are right on the money with the z06 - i finally took delivery of mine this year and that flat plane crank v8 sound is absolutely on another level

I bought a black C7 that was parked in the showroom before I bought my C8. When I got the C7 home and under my 24 daymaker lights there were scratches and scuff marks all over it. From kids and adults molesting it. I took it back the the dealership to complain. They said they would buff out the scratches in the spring since I bought it late fall. I said no thanks. I want a refund. Took a bit but they did give me a full refund. A week later I noticed they sold that car for $2,00000 more used that I paid new. So waited a year to get my 2020 C8 Z51 3LT HTC loaded. Love the car.

She needs a shopping list tattooed on her right leg. That would complete the look.

Both rarely disappoint!

Good video but, GM already said they were pumping in sound into the car to make it sound more than what it really was. GM struggled with giving the car sound from the inside.

seems like no matter the exhaust, theres drone at that 2600-3200. yalls for sure has more drone. 14:38. Paragon doesnt have drone at that speed/ rpm/gear

Your not gonna get that zo6 exotic pitch with the stingray v8 , 2 completely different engines. But over all it sounded good

It doesn’t necessarily sound bad but there’s just no difference between this and the stock exhaust imo. Would have been much better doing high flow cats and headers. Probably would be the same price as this exhaust.

I can see that you are disappointed, it sounds like a muscle car. Checkout the- LeMans Edition center exhaust, that's what I want for my 2023 C8. You did a great job wrenching on the C8.

I have the MBRP exhaust on my 2020 and it sounds great…. U need to be outside of the car to truly hear how good it sounds on a drive by …… Give it a while and I guarantee you won’t switch exhaust…. I installed the simulator things on mine and 8,000 miles later never had a check engine light

you really should just PPF it, not ceramic coat. Just from my experience with my C8.

@@KaitRose Oh yeah. Sorry you aren't as big a fan of the exhaust as I am. I went back and forth with so many different ones that I thought I wanted but def wanted this one once I heard it. I really thought the exhaust sounded the same as stock but just louder. I'll be honest that on the first cold start it was so loud, that I thought I was going to regret it and that my wife would never want to ride with me. :) However, after a minute or so, it does not sound so loud. Put that thing in Z mode and it will give you a good pop as it shifts gears. The resonation/drone from about 2000 tp 3000 rpms can be rough on the ears at times, but I make sure to not stay in that range for a long period of time. . You can get through it pretty quick in manual mode, it just seems a little excessive in auto mode. You were mentioning how others can't hear the certain noises when they are behind you but I think they hear more than you think. I have received many compliments from other vette owners at shows and many people have told me they wanted to get the same exhaust. The surprised looks I get when I start it up is great as people do not expect that coming from a c8. You also need to take it through an underpass and rev it or take it through a parking garage to hear how good it sounds. Good luck to you guys and i hope it ends up growing on you.

I was able to get an MBRP for a price i couldn't pass up. The exhaust is loud and great when your hammering on it but drones so bad at low rpms it made the car unenjoyable to drive. I ended up welding in some resonators that killed 70% of the drone. lets not even talk about if the car goes into 4 cylinder mode. its a cheap exhaust for a reason.

They should’ve made it sound like the Camaro, SS

I can't comment because you didn't do any drive by videos outside the car. I can't hear what it sounds like when you drive by slowly and fast from OUTSIDE the Car.

The mbrp is a great value exhaust. But... its a value exhaust. Go with CORSA. You wont like borla at all(thats what i have), but the borla and corsa have ZERO drone! The borla is a little deeper, but i wish i wouldve gone with corsa, however it fucking screams when you hammer on the car. And it just sounds MEAN. The corsa just sounds possesed by a demon or the devil himself...

Stock cans and performance cats from 3M are a cost effective first step if you are experimenting. If you want a cat back system, AWE is hard to beat. If you want pure sex on your car, Borla Atak....but tough to justify the price.

It still sounds the same as if you didn’t do anything

If you want to sound different, you should’ve saved your money and bought a ZO6

All these upgrades exhaust are marginally better for thousands of dollars and ugly looking tips. The standard NPP exhaust is just find.

Too domestic, if that is what you are looking for. Certainly not exotic.
