Great work! The game was ambitious for a month, but it still feels very contained and doable in less than 2. That's honestly a fantastic pace for a full release. I know what you mean about polish. Past a certain point, I really can't stand to look at programmer art and other fill-ins. The game I'm working on uses hand-drawn art and animation (done by myself) which is a slow and laborious process, but it's a great break from coding. If more polish reinvigorates you when you're testing, I say go for it. One thing that's tripping me up a bit, and I don't know how far ahead of these videos you are so it may no longer be relevant, but my understanding is that the more common phrasing would be "shepherd for hire," like "sword for hire" or "mercenary for hire." That may be regional, though! Oh and for sheep name: Barnabus. Looking forward to the next dev log! It's early morning here and this was a nice surprise to wake up to.

Thank you for the lovely devlogs! I think a great way to keep in the spirit of the challenge would be to ship the game at the end of the timeframe, so you can see how well it does in that state, but continue to develop afterwards and release weekly updates/when ready. That way you will be able to finish up and polish your game until the product is complete.

Thanks for the comment 😁 I get your idea, but releasing an unfinished/unpolished game could be disappointing for some of you, and I wouldn't feel proud of the state of the game too. I'm learning so much trying to keep the deadline as well as I can, and that's the objective of this project 😉

As a digital artist, who works days for simple images, it's funny to hear someone say writing prompts is hard. Tho I get why. Since I get an idea and just do it or learn to do it, while you have to figure out how to get the AI to give you your idea. ("Just do it" being very simplified, since I did still learn 4-5 years for below average art.)
