    I would love to do that job I’m in school now getting my hazmats and I want the overtime I don’t have a family I’m from Chicago and don’t care to relocate hell I’ll live on the field lbs.. only question I have is for Situations like this do they supply free housing ? Also if I’m fresh in with cdl driving will it be hard for me to get a job like that seeing how I’ll be new to the field

    You would need to apply, you can find them through indeed or Craigslist, or start by calling them. Sometimes it depends on their needs!

    Do you know of any companies that you can lease on> I don't have my own authority. I do have my own truck. 2009 International. I'm currently over the road and I hate it..Any advice to get in wold be appreciated.

    @Jaratoll lol 😂 they used to do that at NGL back in 2014-2015 then they got greedy and stopped. There is one disposal in Mentone that caters hamburgers and hotdogs every Friday.

    Oilfield worker here in west tx, I got my cdl with hazmat tanker and I’ve been looking for the best job for a while. I’ve done acidizing, pumpdown, frac for a long time but i’m always looking for a better option. Any help?

    GPS works, but you'll need am actual GPS unit, not just a cell phone because phones rely on service. I always keep a Garmin 64 in my truck.

    I would honestly try hazmat jobs, they are hiring around 30 to 36 an hour right now. Mesquite’s trucks are not the safest and they expect you to work 24/7. I’m actually looking at working for Nextier

    If you were from out of town and wanted to work a full 14hrs every day for like a month straight, is that possible? Im currently working flowback doing 12 hr days here in odessa. But im thinking of getting my cdl and switching over to water hauling

    Yeah definitely possible!! Just remember most water trucks are in horrendous condition. Triple Play out of Wink was looking for drivers.

    James, I would get the manual restriction removed, I believe it holds you back from some really good paying jobs in the oilfield and out.

    I’d say wait on the hazmat then go oilfield. Not that you can’t make money on a vac truck but the quality of life would be better with a hazmat job.

    Jason thanks for the comment, how do you like the sand side? Mesquite is a smaller company out of Carlsbad NM. They have right around 18 units and 8 owner operators.

    @@jasonalexander1709 They will be as soon as the owner buys some more trucks he said the new trucks should be here next month! That’s one thing that I didn’t like about sand was the wait times. I heard the rates went down a lot for owner ops also.

I used to have my own truck over the road like you and I got out of it last year during the summer. Came back to the oilfield because my 10 year old son lives in Jal, NM with his mother and step dad. I’m not making a whole lot here with this company hauling frac sand so I’ve been looking at other companies. I don’t mind lots of hours or working a lot because I used to be in frac as a frac hand on frac sites from 2011-2016 for various companies all over as a contractor working like 80-120 hours a week. So getting dirty and greasy and oily don’t matter to me

    ​@Wero Loco Trucking What up tocayo, they call me guero too but Yo i just got back to cruces from orla was up there running bellies on 285 from loving to orla doing the paving For fisher industries. Man All i saw at the pilot in orla from the time i got there till I crashed out every day was vac trucks shit theres battery tanks literally right next to the pilot and guys would be parked for hours why is that? Could they be owner ops that missed a call? I heard they get put at the back of the list. Shoot i seen a mesquite truck there too but just fueling. I make 25 an hr 37.50 ot running bellies for a company out of sunland park and we average about 60 hrs a week lately but still nothing compared to 4k a week man. ill go to Carlsbad right now if i can get on with yall. Not even joking. I pay crazy child support and that would literally save my future to make that

    I’d say the easiest way to get in the oilfield would be through hauling sand! You have Sand Boxes, hopper bottom, and pneumatic bulk. Equipment Transport out of Pecos hires with no experience on water hauling side. I’ll be releasing some videos on how a water truck works so look out for them!

    @Brandon Will to be honest, I don’t think a lot of people will make the trek out and most will not last, it’s hard work and long hours. I just want to give people another option. I don’t think rates will get messed. Also a lot of companies can’t cover their work right now.
