Really impressive sewing, especially as you have just started out. You should look into getting an unpicker. The little stitch tool that unpicks stitches, a lot easier than the pliers. Well done for always trying new skills. Practicing your sewing will be good for you, you will be making outfits in no time. End result looked incredible, great job on this 👏 👍

Yea like buzz has a fully retractable helmet but if they do that, it will flip through his neck and voice box💀

me too! that's what i love about toy story, so many different types of toys and so many techniques to try. too bad it's not doing well enough in terms of views to be sustainable

Honestly this is amazing and it might be a lot easier to add new denim than having to buy a new denim jeans woody. I definitely will do this is the future 👍😄

Zedabyu, you’ve only gone and done it! You probably don’t remember, I commented on your last video about sewing… you succeeded so amazingly! Your seam allowance is so so so neat, especially for a beginner. Sewing denim isn’t for the faint of heart, let alone at a small scale, well done!

haha is denim that different from regular fabric? it helps when i do it slowly with the knob instead of the foot pedal. my forearm hurts but at least i am happy with the results

@@zedabyu denim can be quite a bit thicker than a regular cotton, especially since you used fabric from your actual jeans, so can cause blockages as you sew. You’ve clearly cracked it though! Another brilliant video 💕

Great job on learning how to sew! For sewing doll clothes, I use a fray check on the fabric edges, I recommend a Japanese brand called Piqué, as I find the application smoother than other ones I tried. It might be a good thing to add to your tool box. ^^

@@zedabyu Glue might yellow and be very hard to the touch, but fray check will kinda melt the fabric edges, leaving it still malleable. While I have tried both, and other brands, I much prefer Piqué.

I'm so used to hand stitching everything, that when I used my moms old sewing machine I struggled so much and was scared XD I messed up what I was doing (dolls for my newborn nephew), but in the end it looked amazing! So I feel your pain 😂 but you did an amazing job ♥️

3:18 one of those blade that are used to cut stiches of just a smaller blade would be easier and have less risk of dameging the fabric!!! 6:29 putting(or pinning, but be careful with the pins bcs they can break the needle) the small parts of fabric on top a piece of paper prevents it from being eaten by the machine(also ironing it flat makes it easier bcs if holds its shape when folded)

Ever plan on sharing scans of the paper templates you used for making the jeans? Could really be helpful for those wanting to replicate what you did in the video.

I know at the end your rushing to complete these videos but you should do a photo shoot/ poses for the TS toys. Your work is amazing but it would be cool to see some recreated moments from the movies. Or just creative ways to photo the toys like instagram?

This is super neat, I still have my first woody from when I was a kid, he was a cloud logo and he's pretty beat up (I hate myself for that) and I've been wanting to fix him up for ages but never knew how, the jeans were cut and glued so I think they need to be replaced all together. Do you plan to make a copy of the patterns you used and release them?

@@zedabyu I mean obviously don't if you're too busy but It'd just be neat to jumpstart the project, see every time I try to make any progress on the doll I find something else that sets me back... like the piece that connects into the head has completely disintegrated when I took him apart so I've been trying to find replacement parts and such :P
