There could be a serious seller's market for this custom, man. I know it always bugged me how none of the real-life Woody/Buzz/etc toys had the correct "toy mode" facial expression.

Thinkway put an inaccurate head on a toy that is marketed as the most accurate. And then added a super accurate head on a simple plush. Honestly how hard would it be to swap them?!

Ikr it's bothered me all my life as well, like c'mon, Thinkway, is it that hard to use that accurate head on an actual talking Woody? Maybe they can only make ones based on "live mode" because those sell better? Idk. And this is coming from someone who's a nut for accurate toys in general *coughcoughG4MLPcoughcough*

I've been following your posts on the progress of the custom very closely, and I'm very glad you've revisited it. It has to be one of the most screen accurate woody doll out there. Watching this videos feels like Zedabyu doing the main quest of his customising journey. Finally tackling the custom with experiences he gained and making it better. He can now finally rest from the comments asking about the Woody custom.

It's damn near perfect. The head sculpt looks like it was taken right off the screen, which is basically was. The paint job is so much better as well. It's amazingly accurate.

That Is the best looking Woody that my eyes have been able to witness, if i had gotten a Woody like this my little mind would have exploded, awesome job Zedabyu! Definetly worth the wait!

Cannot express how satisfying it is to see the finished result here. I know they want the toys they sell to be more expressive and appealing to modern day kids, but I have always wanted a woody doll that looked like this. Top notch work my friend. God bless.

man using the texture as a patern for the vest is genius though it could be a bit inaccurate since the uv´s could be distorted in the radii

So that's why the print was undersized! I had to cut it and only used the front as an outline.

This is stunning work but I can't help but imagine this from the perspective of Woody. The Cleaner from TS2 just merely polishes him and fixes up his paint job. You tore the poor guy to pieces and put him back together again! How traumatizing!

Looks good! I think the only thing that bothers me about the original thinkway woody is how they put the pull string hole on the black cow mark on the back. In the films I noticed it the hole is supposed to be above it.

Congratulations, this took so long to be done, but honestly it was worth it. Woody looks incredible, and I can’t wait to see your future projects as well!

Amazing work! The hat needs to sit higher though. It's a very easy fix. All you have to do is add any soft material from the inside of the hat to make it a tighter fit so it will sit higher.

This looks so great, zedabyu! I’m so glad you revisited this one, but I’m also glad you posted your failed attempt! It allows us to see the full process. Great video, can’t wait to see what you do next

I've seen a number of woody's, both custom and official, and so far I'd say this one is probably the best so far.

This is incredible, Zedabyu! Such creative and thorough work! The only idea I have if someone is following these steps is regarding the holster. If you have access to warbla thermoplastic, it can be used to fill in the holes after cutting off the star.

The cow appearing when you struggled to say "The woody model" frickin sent me

Very satisfying and nice to see everything work out perfectly. Amazing custom!

this is quite possibly one of (if not the BEST) fully finished woody customs i have seen! it just looks so much like woody!!! EDIT: one thing i would really like to see in a custom is a custom pullstring placement- i might see if i can try it out and move the hole that pullstring comes out of higher up.

I love how vintage woddy looks. I mean I know that he's a vintage doll and that you are trying to make him look new. But something about him just looks like he was a real doll from the 50s.

What if you make Hamm next? making a model of your own would be the best option, because that's probably the least commercialized toy story toy and there's not a single movie accurate representation made by any company!

Kingdom Hearts 3 has a Hamm model so that's already half the job done. The hard part would be to get a printer big enough to print it as a whole since his head and body should be connected throughout.

A guy in a chicken suit would definitely steal this

For everyone saying the TSC head isn’t accurate, it is. Just not toy mode. Just because something isn’t toy mode doesn’t mean it isn’t accurate

I’d die for a buzz in his original ship box, with the flipable gauntlet. Large wing span, and the original toy story one face expression

i’ve always felt like his legs are slightly thinner to give him that taller look. your custom is definitely the closest by far

Great hoodie for the occasion, Of course he is on the powder look at his eyes, sound recordings for the movie make mores sense when put in context. Great skin tone! Keep us updated with any special sauce secret recipe. Maybe get your hands on a 'rigging brush' for doing long continuous lines. (Made for watercolorists painting pictures of sail boats)
