Okay, I feel like I should educate yous guys on how time works. This video may have released on March 8th, but if I travel east to New Zealand, it's 12 hours later, making it March 9th. so it only makes sense that if I keep going east back to the UK, then back to New Zealand it would be March 10th, and if I travel back east to get to the UK, it's now March 10th there too. It's as simple as that! Maybe if I'd started the video by saying something like "this *week* is March 10th" that would have cleared things up. Hindsight, amiright?

This depiction of Mario is actually really cool. I love the idea of a Mario looking as grunge as he does here and turning out to actually be really kind and charming

Mario thor is a good combo to deal with the evil goombas. I think he needs a dino yoshi as a mount or a baby yoshi as pet.

This is how I imagined Mario when I first started playing it in 1985. It's a shame it took this long to finally see him that way, but at least you did it, finally.

I really like the idea of Mario carrying around that feather and mushroom like a consumable to use whenever he wants/needs to.

when he said his top tier bone texturing tool, I thought he was about to bring out an actual bone

I used to play Skyrim everyday for about 3 yrs....

I second the realistic Luigi, but possibly make him from Luigi's Mansion. Maybe the ghost sucking backpack with a boo partially sucked inside? Would be super rad. Your sculpting is magnificent by the way. My woman is getting into some hardcore sculpting and I am sending her your videos for some realism references. I think I might take it up as well since you are inspiring the hell out of me

Imagine the original Donkey Kong game, but it's this Mario and he's just deadlifting the barrels as they come his way.

I love this, it's more gritty and realistic, but it's enough within the realm of stylization that it isn't creepy ^^

This version of mario is absolutely adorable. i feel so unbelievable happy seeing his beautiful stubbly face :) (help me adam has me in a loophole i cant escape the addiction of watching his videos over and over)

I love how he always acts like this is something any person would be able to do and then is so amazing at it. Its insane

I love how casually he adds these incredible details and doesn't complicate his language as he describes what he's doing. It makes thigs feel really approachable.

You really should give yourself more credit when it comes to hands. I'm ALWAYS amazed by how quickly you turn a small wad of clay to very realistic and detailed hands. EVERY time I'm like, "Really? He's just cutting to make the fingers?" and can't believe it'll end up looking like a hand, but they always look awesome. So, whatever you're doing, it's working.

im surprised it took this long! i think youve really conquered the head proportion thing. i love when you work with big shapes like this.

When adding clay, you need to have the arms ready to have a tenth of molding to do. You can actually put globs of clay then mold however, I find that this causes me to take more molding time. I like pre molding body parts beforehand in order to save time then I mold what I need to afterwards. It cuts down my molding time to half. It takes much lesser time using this method. I mold each part beforehand in order to save time. I should make a video myself.

I would love to see a badass post apocalyptic Princess Peach, ready to kick ass and take names

I would love to see Adam’s take on making her costume apocalypse-worthy, kilted up skirt, ALL of the belts and pouches, battle crown, the whole shebang.

I could’ve sworn I saw another sculptor do this concept before and wanted to look at the differences but realized it was actually you who had done it before in your bowser vs Mario sculpt. Equally as impressive, just funny how in that sculpt and this one, Mario is almost identical.

With a Luigi counterpart. I'd recommend having him either standing on or holding, a miserable looking painting of King Buu. But make it bulbous like King Buu is pushing out, trying to escape. Or! Have King Buu stuck in some sort of giant vat or vile you could fill with your apoxy-resin ;)

Your admissions at 1:30: I'm the *exact* same way. If I don't do the head and hands first in a drawing, I get mentally fatigued and lack the impetus to do them, and either have to leave them for later or the piece just never gets finished entirely. I really like the new cool glamour shot music. The weird music is good, but I’ve always been a fan of 8-bit and deep brass instruments.

I mean, we already have at least 4 realistic live-action Mario’s. Bob Hoskins, Super-Show Mario, Mario Warfare, and Mercedes Commercial. But still extremely good work.

Mario first made his appearance in 1985. If he was in his 20's then he'd be about 60 now so a more grizzled appearance is totally on point.

What is unfortunate is that realistic Mario looks like he can make realistic jumps. Tubby ain't jumping over any blocks in that shape 😂. Very nice work. I don't know what's more impressive, your sculpting or your painting skills. Master piece with a chef's kiss, fantastico!

This is absolutely phenomenal. Probably your best sculpt to date.

I had to call out a plumber last year. Called a local place and got told “Mario will be with you tomorrow afternoon.” The guy’s name *was* Mario. It took a great deal of effort not to ask the obvious questions. He did a great job, anyway.

Y'know i would definitely be down for a reimagining of the super Mario universe where the main cast are rough monster hunter esque protectors of the mushroom kingdom, daisy would definitely look kickass in this reimagining

Considering your rock texturing method, I half expected you to pull out an actual bone in order to apply the bone texture to Bowser's skull. Toothbrush works too, though, I guess.
