I think Terry is essentially the same as an octopus, but bigger and more aggressive, and cooler, and he finds a skull to wear like a hermit crab finds a shell: as armour. The lore expands.

Another spiffy figure! And the plushy! 😂 I thought Terry was just a normal octopus that had backed itself into a drowned giant's skull and decided it liked the look. Octopusesses being rather shy creatures, prone to hiding in things, it makes sense. The giant skull, on the other hand...🧐 One can never have too much Godzilla. I propose a year of Godzilla acting in other character's places. 😁

Okay my headcanon for Terry is that he was once a laboratory experiment that went wrong-probably something similar to Full Metal Alchemist-, leaving him with a humanoid skull melded to his body and abandoned in the lab. For a while he attempted to keep up a humanoid routine (bathtub Terry who I think is the smallest), but eventually gave up and decided to get revenge on the people who made him, taking up residence in an abandoned pool that was better fit for his growth (pool Terry and the lil skeleton in Terrys pool). After living in the ruins for a while, Terry outgrew the pool and decided to move to the ocean, where he encountered Godzilla (bc this is by far the largest Terry) then the fight commenced and that’s all I’ve got.

Terry started off as a human but licked too many lids of yoghurt pots. He absorbed the materials from the lids and over many, many years (he was a 20 yoghurts a day kinda guy), his head grew larger, with his skin falling off to reveal his skull. Where most of the materials from the yoghurt pot lids had accumulated. Tentacles came later as he also never avoided puddles when he was outside, and it had been raining, so his limbs adopted to always being wet. The other 4 grew at some point, maybe via some horrible David Cronenberg body horror type thingy, due to overly tight pants.

Terry is basically the spotlight of the channel, whenever we see him in a thumbnail it's like all the other vids are unimportant, and we must pay attention to the great lord being resurrected. Also, I never saw purple octopi the same after seeing Terry sit in a pool, bathtub, and choking Godzilla.

I was just wondering if Terry was gonna make a comeback, yay! Also, considering he has purple tentacles and has been shown to change size dramatically, im now convinced he was the one destroying the earth in one of Adams previous sculptures.

I like how terry went from a dead zombie octopus inside a abandoned pool to a zombie octopus almost bigger than Godzilla and is now attempting to take over the world.

My fan theory is Terry is just a normal kaiju sized octopus, that wears a equally massive semi decaying skull as armor. The plush version helps my theory.

The human octopus was first developed by Marvel Comics years ago, but he fought Spider-Man, not Godzilla.

The Aluminum floor subplot was so striking, so inspired, and so nerve wracking!!

Terry brought me to this channel. I like to think Terry found the skull and became an butt kicking octopus. And once he grows put of the skull he looks for a new one, almost like Terry's a warrior of some sort

Looks awesome! My current Terry theory is they’re like a hermit crab and find progressively bigger shells as they grow, but (ooh marine conservation angle), due to rising ocean temperatures and such there’s a shortage of scattered shells. The Terrys have taken to attacking the only thing in abundant supply: human ships, which means the calcium littering the ocean floor is now the human bone kind. There. Fanfiction plot ready.

"Painting" the light onto a sculpture reminds me strongly of what you can do in Blender--normally you have to place in lighting to light a scene, but you can also bake the light effects onto a texture map, thus saving on memory.

Let's be honest... We all love Terry.

Its three am and i have only watched the first 2 minutes but thats all i need to know that how much of such a large amount of effort into this and it makes me and the community so happy that you try so hard to make us entertaining content with clay :D

never ceases to amaze me how amazing a little clay, paint, resing, gloss and wire can become with some hard work, love you content, dont stop! (a little request, please make santa-nk1 from terraria as a chistmasy special please!!!)

I like to think that Terry has inhabited the skull of an ancient, dead Kong. King Kong is the last of his species, but his island is full of his ancestor's bones, and Terry took one of the larger skulls as his home.

In my mind, Terry just eternally grows. Bathtub Terry was the prequel to Pool Terry, and this is the sequel to both. Holding out for an even bigger Terry in the future, since a baby Terry seems too cute of a concept for this earth to handle.

I think Terry's whole thing is a meta-knight situation. He got the skull to look more threatening but is actually a cute Octopus with puppy eyes.

I could watch you make Terry every week and never get bored he's one of my favorite guys.

Terry will never get boring it will become a icon if you do it enough

What an awesome sculpt, for me, It's refreshing to see this type of process with the aluminum foil as a base.

I always envisioned Terry as a Hermit Crab, moving from scavenged skull to scavenged skull each time he finds one better than the one he already has. ("Better" is a word... up for interpretation) This could also explain why he changes sizes, if you want force lore and overlook that this would also imply the existence of giants in Terry's universe

A clean table. The basic sculpting tools, patients, strong walls so you don’t punch a hole through them, wires for a skeleton. The thing to remember, just like drawing, get the shape right first, then move onto the detail.

Terry was the first video I ever watched on your channel. Personally, I find him delightful as well. He'll never grow old! Please keep making him!

Maybe Terry has a nasty scar on his face, or it’s a battle helmet, but I like to think he found it when he was a little kid and his mother told him he couldn’t bring it in the house (a cave with furniture and windows and stuff) so he left it outside and stayed up late to get it when everyone is asleep and put it under his bed (a giant refurbish clam) and he’s had it ever since😊

I believe Godzilla Minus One is coming to European theaters soon so hopefully you can get a chance to see it. It’s fucking amazing, even if Godzilla wasn’t in it, it would still be great. I recommend anyone who has the chance to see it to go watch it. If you want to know what happens after Oppenheimer, this is basically the sequel.

Great sculpt as always! Little suggestion for a cool future project, you could do Shin Godzilla maybe. Its Godzilla but made to portray the danger of radiation mutations, so it is full of bleeding open wounds and no only does a radioctive beam come out of its mouth, but its back spines and the tip of its tail aswell, i think it would be interesting to see your artistic interpretation (and your funny little twist, maybe have it Fight the snake with a hand as its tounge from that one video of yours?)

Terry lore Terry was a young octopus when he found out he had a growth on his face that looked like a skull. Terry was neglected by the world for his growth. He then found an empty pool and lived in it for a while. After living in the pool for a long time he grew tired and bored of his house, he then found an abandoned house with a bathtub for him to sleep in. His house was destroyed during a rampage from the monster known as Godzilla. He was so angry that his anger made him grow to be a giant octopus as he marched toward the raging lizard. He strangles him down to the bottom of the ocean and the legend says that they have been fighting to this day.

Woah, this is really similar to the project I'm working on, making a clay sculpture of a giant king cobra trying to eat a t-rex for my son. Sweet, may get some ideas! You are amazing Adam!! ❤
