This reminded me of when I was a kid, I was obsessed with building stuff out of clay. Every time I visited my grandparents, I'd ask them to buy me more. I made a castle on the top of my bookshelf, and it was so iconic. I remember molding each and every tiny pebble around the mote. I wish I still had it or knew what happened to it.

Adding those little indent lines around the edges of the cape was a neat trick for making your painting work easier later. For someone who says he doesn't plan ahead, that seemed like some preeettyyyyyy smart forethought. I'm beginning to suspect that Adam is actually a thoughtful and careful creator who really cares about the integrity of his work.

As a general rule, LEDs can operate at industrial temps, so -45c-100c As far as baking goes, you're probably fine. LEDs are soldered and often have to ride through solder re-flow ovens, so they can handle high temps (200c-300c) for a few minutes. If you're baking on low temps, you're going to be fine. If the LED still lights up and isn't significantly dimmer after baking, it hasn't experienced any temperature degradation and shouldn't release any fumes.

This is still one of my favorites of yours and in my opinion easily in the top 5 projects you’ve made! I still want to see what you can really do if you have more time and resources. It doesn’t have to be something massive, just a project where you take the time to make it clean and detailed.
I have to say, the gradient result on the eyes with the red on the edges and yellow in the center is an insanely cool result. It's not something that happens on a lot of your projects that I've seen, but it makes it so much more realistic that just a red glow all the way through.

I love this guy, he is so talented
@halzion
Жыл бұрын
@michle I'd argue that there is no such thing a talent, but it's the illusion of learning a skill very early. Say a child likes learning maths, so they learn more about it, earlier than average, basically putting them somewhat ahead of the average person and gradually manifests into "talent" when really, it's just skill but since they were younger (and many other factors) they learned faster and more about math. sorry for the rant lol, i've thought about this for unnecessarily long

@@halzion No, it's not related to when someone starts doing something. It's just genetics: that is talent. Predisposition because of genetics, and perhaps the environment.
@halzion
Жыл бұрын
@@juicejooos May I ask, how would genetics affect how good someone is at certain tasks/subjects? I understand something like men finding sport easier due to testosterone building up muscle much faster than women, but that isn't called talent. Learning to draw means you learn fine motor control of your arm, also learn how to imagine in 3d, account for perspective, simplifying complex shapes with simpler ones, and even more however none of these things are really gained from genetics. Same kinda thing with math, computing, etc, since the only thing that affects your speed of learning is how you think, and things like age which generally means younger=faster learning. Also sorry for another rant :( I didnt mean to write much but I wanted to try my best to get my point across. Anyway, have a good day!
@juicejooos
Жыл бұрын
@@halzion You underestimate the intricacies of the brain and how many aspects there are to something like math and drawing. But you mentioned some yourself, and all those factors can vary depending on genetics. You make a point about men and women in sport: it's essentially the same thing, but genetics on the body are (usually) not regarded as talent. Why? Probably because there is a material way to see the difference between each person, so we understand that being born "better" isn't a reason for compliment in and of itself. We don't like the idea of predetermined success. That is the reason you think talent is just more "effort": one of the great pitfalls of our capitalist modernity, where we assume that more work = more success. I don't think I have to elaborate on how that is purely a myth as it has been done to death. That is why, when we can't clearly point out the predisposition that is genetics when talking about mental faculties, we regard it as "talent". We say, it's not that a person had an arguably better start, they're just good, and it's all through their sweat and tears! But people are different physically and mentally. We can't choose how we're born, and usually we can't chose in what environment we grow up in. That is the actual truth behind the so-called "talent". And don't worry about asking, I'd rather exchange 50 messages with you than 1 with the usual youtube commenter prone on ""arguing"". As for what genetics actually do, I'm not an expert or anything, but you can generally regard it as a stat boost, sometimes an experience multiplier. There's so many ways we can have different buffs and debuffs from birth. For example, most mental health issues, like Alzheimers, depend on genetics.

Im still amazed at how you post stuff so often....... let alone the work you create.. I have to work harder...
That iconic, NOTB, royalty-free, lo-fi background music always brightens my day.
Every week when Adam makes something new it brightens my day :D
KZread just recommended you after binging some BillMakingStuff. I know content creators like to know how their subscribers found them. : > I would have to say I really liked this. I really like sculpting but there's not a lot of content I enjoy because it becomes really repetitive or they don't use commentary and as I'm a crafter myself that's a must. I'm coming to understand how much work goes into the creative edits as well as leaving in commentary 'words are hard' errors because that's way too relatable for us all. I really love your content and I have a feeling you're about to get a binge out of me.
"While I love you, I don't want to encourage you." T-Shirt saying right there! Awesome work, Adam!
Tip for darker reds!! When adding dye add about two drops of blue and one drop of yellow dye You’ll get a fantastic dark red for you blood and jam✨
That tentacle triggered some memories, but before my FBI agent starts de raid I must say that the memories where from "Maniac Mansion II Day of the tentacle". Great build as always Adam!
Omg i love the idea of using the semi transparent clay, it spreads the light so it looks even. Very awesome :))
4:27 thank you for providing me with not only a rebuttal, but also a screenshot for reply to neat ideas I have that I don't want my partner to try and build.
This is what finally pushed me to get this game and I'm so glad you did. Thanks!
