    My 2 cents: Add a small cage of gravel or pebbles that sits right in front of solar pump's water stream ... instant mini bog filter. ALSO: Great music

    I ordered pearl rice fish from Aquahuna after watching your videos and they came slightly orange. It was my first time with rice fish so I wasn't sure if they were supposed to look like that but after the first 2 weeks or so in my patio pond, they turned completely orange. Not sure if it they shipped the wrong ones but I didn't bother to make a big deal about 🤷🏻‍♀️

    You can get some epoxy aquarium interior paint to paint the inside of the galvanized tubs if you are concerned. It is paint many people use to paint the inside plywood aquariums to keep them from leaking. Don't nknow the brand but I seen videos of people using this paint. I would like to use a big 5- 8 foot round galvanized water trough found at farm suppliers. I think the increase size filled with a isle of plants where the fish can swim around it would make a great pond. But I would paint it black so you can see the fish from above using the paint I mentioned above.

    Cool and informative video! Last year I build one myself after seeing your videos but I have a question about the chlorine/chloramine. 21:19 How do I know if there is also Chloramine in our tap water? I live in Spain, in our water is I guess chlorine (you can smell it by opening the tap or shower & taste for sure) I prefer let the water stay overnight before using. I understood 'Prime' also kills ammonia, nitrite & nitrate. My plants are not surviving and growing, only anubias plants... Please help, struggle for a year already

    You should be able to look up your municipal water data online, like with whatever organization/company provides it to your area. They should have a spread sheet that tells you everything about your drinking water. Prime is a very popular product, but Fritz "complete" is basically the same thing and is like $10 cheaper. Might not be the case for you in Spain, but Id check it out!

    I actually recently threw in some Creeping Jenny after seeing another video of yours where you had mentioned you used it as a pond plant. I picked some up this weekend and decided to just stab holes in its nursery pot and its plain soil. I have it sitting on a rock so the soil level is just flush at the water line in my established mini pond (with the medaka newly added). I hadnt noticed any issues yet, but im curious as to why you mentioned in the video you didnt think itd work well? I was worried about murkiness originally but should i be worried about any potential fertilizers/nutrients from the greenhouse leeching etc (tho its likely just normal potting soil)?

  • @AQUAPROS

    @AQUAPROS

    Ай бұрын

    Ya I dont think it'll be an issue... I mean, as long as its not being disturbed all the time should be fine. Ill throw one of my potting soil ones in a pond and report back in a future video.
