I think I have another theory too as to why that first one was so viral. And if there's anything we know about celebs and normal people alike, one of our favorite topics is ourself.

Жыл бұрын
I think Danny’s approach was correct for what he was trying to do, he always gave himself the severe handicap of pretending to be someone else with literally no following so you kinda have to be high quality if you want a chance to go viral off a few attempts. Here everyone knew it was ted he wasn’t trying to hide his identity they just didn’t know he was making a video about it right? That’s a huge leg up, like small loan of a million dollars leg up lmao
@sharksharkemail5239
Жыл бұрын
But it’s funny because Danny’s voice accidentally goes viral like three times a year 😭
@TedNivison
Жыл бұрын
Yeah my approach was more from the angle of it being generally very hard for anything to go viral in the first place, since there are plenty of Tik Tokkers that I’m sure try to make Tik Toks where the audio would go viral. Genuinely I think this was successful because of luck here because some of the other sounds I thought were just as good as that first one and none of the other ones passed even 1000 videos!
@evan_dood
Жыл бұрын
@@TedNivison I don't feel like going through all the comments to check if someone said this already, but I wanted to let you know that TikTok actually increases the chances that someone's first video will go viral (or at least get a lot more likes/views than it normally would) so the person is incentivized to come back and make more. So hey I guess it worked lmao

I have definitely heard the “this is my personality now” TikTok audio prior to this video! Nice work 😂
I think the first one was the most successful for the simple reason that people LOVE talking about themselves, and the sound is a perfect springing point for people to talk about whatever they're passionate about or whatever. Because of that, it was not only usable in pretty much every niche of the platform, but people felt like they were participating not in a larger viral trend, but in their own special community/corner of tiktok.
@Dizzy8203

You’re so right! People talking about themselves truly is the most common thread with all trends. Like, in my experience I’ve found people…

I'm low-key wondering if it was a joke or just him not being particularly good at math.

it's funnily enough close enough to the equation of a circle x^2-y^2=r^2
The impressive part is that your sound broke through your own fan base out where it could grow in all circles/niches. Breaking that barrier is where its success really came from.
the dedication for this is nice :)
The fact I’ve used this sound before knowing it was you or watching this-
I can hear Danny running back from Kurtis Connor’s wedding at an alarming speed, screaming the entire way with his arms in the air waving back and forth.

HELP
Oh my god… I’ve literally heard this sound everywhere! I was gonna record a video with it but then Ted walked in and broke both my legs and said he hated me… still very cool!

One time I was out for a walk, wearing my Goddus Annus merch, and then Ted suddenly appeared and beat the shit out of me - he broke my leg in three places and gave my ankle an avulsion fracture. He then said "It's never coming back." And then he spun me around really fast and when I came to he wasn't there. It still hurts whenever I move my ankle, but at least I have the memories.

Oh my gosh... when he started the first one... I'VE SEEN IT ALL OVER WTHHHH
16:26 THATS THE GOOD GERMS THAT KEEP YOU ALIVE.
I actually heard your sound a few days ago on several Instagram reels about house plants. I thought it was you but wasn't completely sure since it seemed like such a random place to hear your voice. Crazy how your sound managed to break into so many different niches

Yes! I saw that too
I ran into Ted some years back at a farmer's market. It was a really sweet moment, and I mean that literally. He took a steel bat to my knees and before I could get back up he poured gallons of honey all over my body and then unleashed a cage of wasps. I am deathly allergic to insect stings. It was such a life-changing moment, thank you for everything, Ted

ted snapped all of my fingers and then ran over my cat 6 times, it was a good day :)
I can’t believe you made that first sound. That is too funny. I say it all the time since I’m autistic and have ADHD, so I latch onto things like crazy. I’m crying. 😂
this is the best video 😂😂 you’re an icon
17:29 Ted: "I feel like I figured out how the hell to find the area of a circle." Also Ted: **recites the Pythagorean Theorem**

I was looking for this comment. Geometry was and still is my favorite subject and this just tells me he also told the truth about not paying attention in math class. Lol.

@@geminicam1156 In all fairness, it could have totally been a joke that he just delivered deadpan. We don't wanna bite the onion too hard lol. Either way, it's very funny to me. But yeah, I really liked geometry too. Honestly math in general. Calc, Stats. Maybe to a lesser extent Trig lol but I did use it recently and was surprised to find I retained quite a bit from back in the day.
This is the first time in a long time that I watched a video all the way through from a creator I'd never seen before, and then subscribed at the end of the video. Part of that was influenced by the fact that I actually came across the first audio you did for this challenge naturally a few days ago while on TikTok. Wild.

Same. Exactly this
I didn't watch your videos when I stumbled upon the sound and now 7 months later i find out that you made that sound, full circle babyyy
Luckwise, you are always the luckiest on something your first try. A trick I learned a long time ago. So not only was your luck higher because it was your first try, but the audio was short, could be applied to virtually anything, and any joke, it was relatable in the TikToks, it was simple, and it allowed the users to be able to use the audio to talk about themselves (something people LOVE to do on TikTok). And well, once it reached even more viral accounts, it spread like wildfire. It’s really interesting!
I met Ted on a trip downtown! I walked up to him and asked for a selfie and he broke every one of my ribs on the left side. I can't breathe without a ventilator. Classic Ted!
I heard this sound throughout videos on social media, and legitimately thought it came from a show, something like Family Guy or something, only to have my world fall apart on me when watching this video for the first time.
what a video to watch in loving memory of joe he will be missed
The fact he’s wearing the deny everything shirt makes people guessing so so funny
I randomly heard your voice coming from my friend's phone about a month ago and I was so confused as to how you could've ended up in her recommendations, but now I understand, you're a genius
