I made a super simple 1.7mhz mist maker circuit | ultrasonic mist maker humidifier Level 2 | Ciiads

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, I'm gonna show you how to make a super simple 1.77 MHz mist maker and its driver circuit with only using 5 components, that's incredible. this circuit runs at 12v because I used a 12v Ultrasonic Piezoelectric Humidifier disk but if your disk has the capacity to take more voltage, don't be afraid to push the voltage. that's nothing for the circuit because it is strong. 😉 happy watching.

    Can this circuit be used to drive 24V discs @30V (for higher mist output)? If you want a multi-disc system, can a single circuit drive multiple discs at once or does each disc need it's own circuit? Also, if we are buying the 100uH inductor, what size is needed? Is a 6*8 enough, or is something like 10*12 or 10*16 needed?

    As per the datasheet of the transistor, it's fine to handle higher voltage but you have to use a better heatsink to cool it down. Using thick wires and a thick layout is very important. and also use a high current 100uh to 150uh radial inductor which is also very important, the current capacity of the inductor is all the matter that's why I made one myself. Thin wires and thin layouts and weak inductors cause overheating and unstable operation. I never attempted with multiple disks But you can always experiment with that Good luck Regards AMN 👊☺️

    Hello, awesome tutorial! I made this following your instructions and it works somewhat, but it's much weaker. My multimeter showed around 3.7MHz. Could that be caused by me using toroidal inductor? (still 100uH). The capacitors I used are also slightly different format - 473j100 (should be same parameters). Sorry if these questions are stupid, I'm still a total noob, but willing to learn!

    Use thick wires , pump the voltage according to the piezo driver spec and use ferrite core inductor having great power handling (5A++) or wound one your self on a ferrite core with thick wire like I did. It's a self oscillating circuit so the output frequency will shift according to the driver specification, for instance if your driver is 1.7mhz it's output is around 1.7mhz , if it is 2.4mhz then the output is around 2.4mhz

    Dear Aneeshmurali Sir, excellent work and very nicely explained. Many appreciations. One doubt Sir, can we use a cheaper power transistor of IGBT or JFET or MOSFET? The power transistor 2SC5200 is very expensive in the market; it handles 230Volts and carries 30 Amps and so the cost is justified. However, a low cost alternative would be much better and non BJT colution will also eliminate the need of heatsink. Any suggestions on alternate part number of IGBT or JFET or MOSFET Sir? Regards,

    @@Ciiads However I'd suggest that in the video you show a circuit diagram to your circuits. That way they will be easier to understand. From a circuit diagram everything is straight forward, you know exactly where to connect each component, in what orientation as well. Seeing the circuit itself, without a diagram doesn't make clear where the connections are going. Even more that you are soldering from the opposite side of the board where the pins of the components are in a flipped position to the original e.g, the base of the transistor is at the place of the emitter. Also that will save lots of explanations where and how to solder each component.

    Is your piezo disk 800khz? It's a self-resonance circuit output frequency depends on the piezo resonance and it will vary between a few hundred kHz to 3++ mhz Depending on the piezo resonance and piezo load. Try dropping a few drops of water on the disk you can see the frequency changes on the oscilloscope it will vary and will go up to the piezo resonance frequency and try to verify that using a frequency counter as well.

  • @Ciiads

    @Ciiads

    Piezo disk resonance plays the role The LC circuit in the oscillator circuit sets up its own resonant frequency based on the values of the inductor (L) and capacitor (C) used. However, when we connect a piezo transducer to the circuit, it introduces its own resonance characteristics. The piezo transducer has a natural resonant frequency at which it vibrates most efficiently. When the circuit is driven with a frequency close to the resonant frequency of the piezo transducer, the transducer responds more effectively, resulting in stronger mechanical vibrations. This, in turn, affects the overall frequency of the circuit. The LC circuit provides the oscillation and frequency generation, but the presence of the piezo transducer influences the behavior of the circuit by effectively locking the frequency to its own resonant frequency. As a result, the output frequency of the circuit aligns with the resonant frequency of the piezo transducer. So, in our case, using different piezo transducers with different resonant frequencies will cause the circuit's output frequency to align with the respective resonant frequencies of those transducers.

Did you tried it, on my frequency counter it was never 73,412 kHz Here f is not 1.77mhz like fixed frequency it changes according to the resonance of the disk if you place a 2.4mhz disk in it, it will oscillate within that range.

    @Ciiads

    Жыл бұрын

    The mist maker contains an ultrasonic transducer, which is typically a ceramic disc or plate. This transducer is made of piezoelectric material, meaning it can convert electrical energy into mechanical vibrations. When an electrical signal of 1.77 MHz frequency is applied to the transducer, it starts to vibrate rapidly due to the piezoelectric effect. As the transducer vibrates, it emits ultrasonic waves into the water. These waves create high-frequency pressure variations in the liquid. The pressure variations generated by the ultrasonic waves create small areas of low pressure, causing tiny water droplets to form. This process is known as cavitation. The rapid formation and collapse of vapor bubbles lead to the creation of mist or fog. The water droplets formed by cavitation are extremely small, typically in the micron range. They are then released from the surface of the water as a fine mist or fog, which can be blown or diffused into the surrounding environment. That's it Good to see you 😊👊❤️

    @@roozbehkhodambashi7089 So sorry to hear that maybe you did something wrong. There is no need to provide the values in the description because I explained everything in the video. the values of every component are there and you can turn on the subtitles if you want. Or even the video is pretty clear that you can identify the values and their color code.

    That's up to you, try to get the smd version of the exact same or equivalent components, yeah, of course, you can shrink the circuit but use good quality SMD inductor having a current handling capacity of 5 amps plus otherwise, it's going to heat up and limit the performance. 😁😁😁😁☺👊

    @roozbehkhodambashi7089 A lot of people are failing because they are not following what I did here. and I feel very bad because I can't able to help them physically I can only talk through comments but that has a limitation. but some of them are attempted more than twice according to the instructions that I provided through the comments and they succeeded. You can find those people in the comments and read their chat history maybe it will help you. I pinned one of them for the people who are facing issues with the circuit. Believe me, it will work. I don't know why people like you misunderstand me. whatever it is, I never make things that don't work but I make things that are too complicated to make. because "if we are thinking about simple we can't achieve the impossible " I don't know about your situation if you did everything right it will work. It only works for those who build well because each and everything in the circuit is so important a little mistake is enough to make it worse. the problem is your build,not the circuit. if you wanna see my build you can come to my place You can see that with your bare eyes.

    Use thick wires and follow the video carefully use right components it will work it's not useless and this circuit is not enough to draw a diagram, only having few components easy connection and it's very easy to follow the video. If it's not working means you made a mistake or you are seeking the video like reading a software lisence agreement. But I will appreciate your point, next time I will draw the diagram for you and the people like you who are struggling to follow my instructions even if the circuit had a single node. Thank you.
