I think people overlook a lot of the natural texture you can find in nature. Rocks have rocky textures, sand is often sandy, dirt has very dirt-like characteristics. Its really amazing!

Notch has confirmed that the ender dragon is a female and even nicknamed her "Jean". Once the ender dragon is defeated in Minecraft, her egg spawns on top of the end portal, and only female creatures can lay eggs and give birth (with some exceptions).

The existence of the dragon egg only implies the dragon in the game is female. It implies even more strongly that the ender dragon breeds sexually, thereby lending credence to the existence of at least one male. It's presumptuous to say the dragon is female because there's no lore in the game to flesh it out either way. Ender dragons could conceivably leave egg incubation to males. Maybe they're warmer. Maybe females don't fly. You haven't concluded all chickens are female, despite much stronger evidence of it.

This is Jean's older brother, Ned, who's babysitting the end while she's on vacation. Could be her mate and he's tending to the egg while she's hunting or something. What do Ender Dragons eat? Are they omni, hervi, or carnivorous? Do they eat chorus fruit, and if so, are they immune to the teleportation effect? Do they eat endermen or shulkers? Are they like whale sharks, where they consume massive amounts of small creatures by filter feeding?
