The key to sewing with pets is to create a decoy project. Pull out some fabric that you are not actually using, and pretend to be very involved in “working” on it. Once they take the bait and lay on the fabric, you are safe to pull out the real fabric that you want to work with. If they get suspicious, simply pretend to go back to using the first fabric until they go back to it.

GENIUS. My cat loves thread though. So that makes the whole sewing situation quite complicated 😅😭

So excited for the new place 😁 Also: I hope she never edits her cats out of the videos. They’re so amusing.
The dress is stunning! You have inspired me to learn sewing and I'm getting very good at it!

Great! The important thing is that you enjoy doing it! I wish your models keep getting better and better! I also get inspired by Alexandra's videos and she and other people inspired me to make my own channel for what I love - to create!

@@raina2160 Yeah!
I’m glad my cat isn’t the only one who takes an interest in my sewing. He also like to just take the scraps and ball them up
Looks great! You made the bodice work in the end. If that is artificial whalebone, you can just sand the ends round with a nail file or sandpaper. Also the bones will form to your body after time from your body heat.
I want to be a fashion designer when I grow up!☺ (I'm 12 BTW!) I really love watching your videos because they are entertaining and encourage me to try new designs and stuff❣
Cats just basically not letting you do anything... relatable
A lovely creation! You could definitely wear that to a Renaissance Faire!
If you add interfacing to each piece of the bodice, that fabric will be easy to work with and not pucker.
You covered the puckering well! The final dress looks so pretty.
Definitely gives flora from winx club vibes
Hi! Im Blossom! Nice to meet you! Im the fairy of Glow and Animals! I appreciate the fact that you believe in fairies! Have a nice and wonderful day Alexandra!
That gold lace is gorgeous! I've watched all the shorts of this dress and I absolutely love how it turned out. Was excited to see the full making of released!
Hey you can take a rough nail file and run over those edges so you don't have to tape the boning. Just a little tip. Love your show!
I LOVE that white pattern with the purple flowers and if you had more left over, you could make a longer dress! It's so pretty!
Beautiful
You do such an incredible job! I really hope to see you go far into costume design, you deserve it.
Alexandra! I love how genuine you are in you videos! Your are completely honest and show your mistakes in the making of your sewing journey. You also after making your mistake you say that you are unsure of what to do which to me seems so honest but you come forth with proudness of your hard work and effort. You honestly did an amazing job and a better job than most of us can. It's so inspiring to show your bravery and makes me want to start mine even though I have a fear of making mistakes. But I know it's part of learning. You are incredible and I love those cats interfering with your work in some way and makes your videos that much entertaining!
Beautiful results! And love your kitties!
I don’t like rigilene boning either! I prefer the covered plastic boning, I found a really large spool on Amazon where it has the stronger clear plastic boning in a roll, with no covering, which works better for me. I make ren faire fashion stays (and my own actual stays) and the clear 1/4” boning works amazing for me!! Much stronger.

This was actually steel boning I used which is supposed to be quite strong! Rigilene boning is the worst though 😩

@@_alexandra.louise_ you use flat boning to secure lacing holes, eventually to flatten the front. for the rest it's best to use spiral steel boning but it's used to get a waist reduction in corsets. for a dress, plastic boning work better.
Aww man the thing with the shiny fabric sucked. Glad you were able to figure out something to go over it. The end result is beautiful!
Omg!!! You’re work is amazing 🤩 can you pls sell you’re gorgeous dresses🙏
Need some elf ears to go along with it 😍 It looks great even though you weren't 100% happy with it - You now know not to use that fabric again 🤣🤣
Looks amazing! Absolutely adore heloys’ bodice patterns! He’s an incredible pattern maker and a blessing for us costume makers!
Gives Barbie Swan Princess vibes so much and I love it, especially the skirtttttt
Congratulations- I can feel your excitement for your new space 💕💐
you should make some pointe shoes to match!!
Alex: *makes whole fairy dress* Me: oooh kitties!!

This looks great! BTW, I love the soundtrack you chose for your grand reveal.

I like the finished product of the bodice. You definitely covered up the blemishes! Great job!😍
You are amazing! The dress is beautiful!
Almost inspirational to me. Since you're on the topic of fairies, can you do Mariposa or Elina from Barbie Fairytopia movies? Please and thank you.
You look just like a Winx Fairy!✨
That is absolutely stunning! You did an amazing job. Better than Disney!
Oh my god congratulations on your new space and the dress (btw I subbed the first time I ever saw your vid)

Nice cosplay sweetie 🥰🤩❤️
I wanna be a forest fairy tooo
This is so pretty! You did an amazing job! I love your account :) I've just started sewing and was wondering if you have any tips for a beginner?
How do you usually do the waistbands for your skirts like this? I want to be a fairy princess in my day to day life and think I'm going to try to sew a similar skirt! I've only sew non-stretchy cotton skirts before so I just cant tell if its an elastic waistband?
Need more cat content!
So talented!! :) Could you tell us what videos you used to learned to sew and make patterns yourself? I really wanna try and make one of these ballgowns but I don't know where to start when making my own pattern
😍😍😍😍😍
Could yo do Giselle’s wedding gown from Disney’s Enchanted please?
What size wings did you get? I’m thinking about getting the same wings because they look so beautiful
what a pretty dress! 2 thoughts on the bodice, but they are just guesses. 1. i think the bodice is too long for your torso. 2, when sewing the slinky fabric, did you sew down one direction and then sew up the opposite? i've seen in other videos that you are supposed to sew all seams in the same direction or the fabric can warp, which is what it looks like yours' did. i've just found your channel, so i don't know if you have figured this pattern out better or not, but its enjoyable watching your creativty emerge into a physical item.
I LOVE UR VIDS! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

Hi, how you make your fairy wing😍😍😍
I’m new to your channel. Do you have a shop?
You should be a fashion designer and make high quality clothes for low prices
Love it , but could you explain more when your doing your steps instead of just cutting and sewing ?

For your information, “gipped” is a rather offensive term to use. Love the dress, and congratulations on getting a house in this market!

What makes it offensive? I ask because I have never heard this word before.

@@sweaterweatherlady I am not Romani so I would suggest searching for a source that explains it from that perspective, but essentially it comes from the racial slur "gypsy" and enforces the stereotype that the Romani people are swindlers.
luckily, you can stich, for a "fat" fairy friend!hehe
