Not sure if I like the fact that you had to get rid of all the DJI stuff to get it to fly like a real drone or if I think it should be able to do so without swapping everything. Seems like a crappy frame for FPV :D

now you gotta do the opposite and put the dji parts in a carbon fiber frame

thing is...with fpv drones, you can modify the way it flies according to the frame it is in..... but with dji internals, it could be 50/50. unless the new frame tou put it into has the same motors,props same distance between motors and same center of gravity

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say i think this voids the warranty. 🤣🤔🤣

Now that’s a drone! I bought the mavic mini as my first camera drone and have loved it. I just finished building my first fpv drone and it flies so much differently! Great video!

This is easily one of those "because you can" or "why not?" projects.

@@SuccessfulTradings no telling, the first time making something that noone has done before could have taken him a long afternoon, or too many hours to count. Id imagine a second one would only take a few hours now

I think the best part about this is, you can fold it into pocket size. And when you're going out flying and start unfolding it, anybody would think you got an fpv-quad until it gets airborne.

Thanks for spending the time on this! Very entertaining. Reminds of the Steele video where he fpv's a phantom!

thanks for the drone content! I was just going to do something stupid like rig up a servo to shoot rubberbands from my mavic air 2 but you guys on youtube have so much content I feel like I could build a drone armada to swarm myself in the safety and security of a grillion annoying quadcopters

Pretty cool to see that you retain the stock motors and props. What is the biggest size battery that you can put in to the frame? Is there space to put in a GPS if you use a smaller vtx and rx? How much flight time are you getting with the 300mah 3s lipo?

Awesome! I've flown my mini fpv with dji goggles and a caddx vista mounted on top powered by a 2s 450 battery.. it works but needs to be lighter..

how much weight the prop stopper add? is it fine to use it on stock dji mini 2?

Very cool build man! I think about doing this all the time like taking all my parts out of the Dji FPV I have and putting it on a 5” carbon frame…. It does 100 mph weighing over 2 lbs coukd you imagine on a light frame?! Woooow ok now I have to do it!

What do you call the part you designed and 3D printed? Is it better to have the props more ridgid? May as well ask, it the model file available for download?

Hope DJI release a full FPV mode in the Mini 3. Great if it could also be used with Digital FPV Goggles!
