OOf, right in the feels. Your beautiful little diorama reminded me of my mom's ceramic Christmas village we would put out every year. It was my favorite part of Christmas. :) She passed away in July of this year, but your video brought back a lot of great memories for me. Thank you, and a Merry Christmas to you.

A few years ago we visited Stockbridge, MA, where that Rockwell scene is from, and then my daughter did a cross stitch of that scene (which is really cool), and now you've added a completely new dimension to it. I love the wonderful Christmas memories your diorama brings to mind, and I love the way you continue to stay true to your art and your passion. @@bobhamlin6186 Thank you, Bob! I have had to cope, not just with my loss of my sweet husband and best friend, but with ailments that started acting up after his passing. I, still, have kept the channel, since my husband, really, liked watching it, and I saw some as well. Yes, I do appreciate you reaching out to me in return. Thank you for your concern and since his passing is just 6 months along, it is still pretty new to me, so it has been hard. When i was younger i would always dream of having a magical model village where i could go small and land on the model village as if it were real

I originally thought it would have been a fun addition to the diorama if you had some kind of monster from the Wild Imaginary West lurking at the edge of town, but the end result made me rethink that. Merry Christmas!

I've saved this video to my Favorites file. I'm of an age (nearing 70) where I'm downsizing, which includes buying my first artificial tree; it's all of 2ft tall and occupies the top of my treadle sewing machine in my studio apartment window. The wire tree comes pre-lit and I've festooned it with 1in diameter glass ornaments, 2.4in glass icicles, a hand-strung popcorn garland, and a yellow cardstock 5-pointed star at its top. Your video pointed out to me how easy it would be to make a little Christmas Village to circle the base of the tree. I have a background that includes cabinetmaking, electronics, and architectural modelmaking, so doing this should not be difficult for me. Who knows; maybe it will open a whole new side business for myself...

Christmas is my favorite holiday

I would love to be able to sit down and do things like this. My great grandmother had a Christmas village, the kind with the magnetic frozen pond with skaters and other moving pieces. I loved it so much and have no idea what happened to it. I imagine one of her kids has it stashed somewhere or had it placed at a garage sale. I would love to make my own someday.

this is one of my favorite builds because the setting feels mostly timeless and setting agnostic. Nothing "gives away" a specific theme other than winter a small town and that means it "fits" in almost every settting you might have (including your Imaginary Wild West theme!)
