Corruption has ebonwood Crimson has shadewood They are different. Also, the eye summon is stormer than others because you can only have 1. There are also some other wands you can craft that put a flower over your head and to the same thing as the eye but those also can't stack with themselves or even each other. You need hellstone to craft statigel armor alter anyways so it'll be useful regardless.

thoarbin i thought of a cool idea of if you flip the crimson arena that you have above the corruption to make it look like its mirrored in a way

Congrats on beating the Calamity Dungeon Guardian, that was insane! Also, a small layer of lava on the arena with an obsidian skin and flipper potion could be another strategy to make it so the enemies don't spawn on the floor you're running in.

Dying to the Dungeon Guardian when it only has 38 health left is just so incredibly painful.

15:15 I'm pretty sure the lore there is that Draedon had a lab in the sulfur sea, but it exploded, which is why you can find rusty lab parts near the "exploded" area 24:47 I have always thought it was meant to be fought on the surface. I just thought it was meant to be a harder evil boss than the vanilla one. Something that would have helped a lot with the dungeon guardian platform is walls. IIRC, enemies can't spawn if you place most walls, which is why they don't spawn in houses.

True, though it'd be possible they could spawn on a platform or island above me and drop down, plus it would have taken so much longer to tear down, lol

I don't know if calamity works differently or if it's changed recently, but when I looked it up, enemies can technically spawn midair and then they snap back down to the ground, so you'd need a lot of walls. Or a roof.

Hey, just letting you know, the "brown moss you got at the start is that allucid green moss you're searching for!

I've started a new vanilla world because I was inspired by you and by taking more time I've already discovered a bunch of cool things such as: poisoned throwing knives are some of the best pre-hardmode weapons. I'd always just sell the normal knives since they were useless once you crafted a decent bow. It's really fun taking the time to see what the game has to offer. I've spent like 750 hours in terraria and there is still so much stuff that I've never tried (such as collecting critters)

I have this same feeling. Exept I am doing the zenith seed on master mode with a bit over 3000 hours over vanilla and tmod. I have 80 hours and I am pre WOF. It is my longest playthrough yet, and I have had so much fun with it. I actually started it before I discovered this series, and the sheer difficulty made me stay in stages of progression much longer, and have to think outside the box. From getting a shark tooth necklace and money trough with statues pre-blood moon to using the same method to farm fire imp banners for the WOF fight it has all been an insane journey. This is the first playthrough where I ever bothered trying to build something somewhat nice outside of journey mode, and I plan to keep doing so for the rest of it.

I recommend a mod which doesn’t add anything to gameplay but it’s the calamity music mod. It adds music to the calamity bosses and the music is the reason why some people play calamity. Unless you have it in already .

I saw January and it inspired me to try the challenge but on legendary death mode. I’ve already died over 100 times because of mostly jungle bats and nighttime. Honestly it’s a literal nightmare.

U challenging the dungeon guardian was sooo incredible to watch, loved it. Hahaha

Well I am a casual player, playing it casually 😂. Nobody can fill every second with something interesting or productive, so yeah, there are periods of time where I'm sitting around thinking of what to do next.

Sharks rarely spawn due to how the ocean floor generates in tandem with shark spawning conditions! If you make the ocean bed flat, you should see an increase in shark spawns :)

The regular extractinator turns glowing moss into regular mosses. It’s not until after your 3rd mech in Hardmode and get your hands on Chlorophyte, and therefore a Chlorophyte Extractinator, that you can convert glowing mosses into other glowing mosses.

The hysterical laugh is marvelous 😂

You need to put the glowing moss into the chlorophyte version of the extractionator to get glowing moss out. Even then it is only a chance to get one of the glowing mosses not a guarantee.

I would have sworn you can craft rotten chunks and vertebrae at demon altar with the counter part in calamity. Also you for sure can craft leather in calamity.

I feel like the drill could be better if faced the opposite direction(down), not certain it would look greater than that, but it's possible to have it look better.

Even once you've moved on from the Armor and Accessory set, Enshrine it, just for all of the problems that fight with the Dungeon Guardian gave you. Is what I would've said if you didn't do exactly that as I was typing this out.

with that tree theme base u was using grass seed u could have just used axe if regroth the add the grass u can also smart cursor and it will do all in area

the last vanilla method of obtaining any moss type (i think any?) was removed in 1.401 so unless calamity added back the staff of regrowth stone moss growth, you can't grow foreign mosses naturally in your world. but you still can try using a staff of regrowth on stone because calamity might have readded it, this is what the terraria wiki says: (Incorrect versions): The Staff of Regrowth can be used on Stone Blocks to grow moss at any depth. The type of moss will vary depending on the proximity to other types of moss. As such, one can spread the Lava Moss from the cavern's lava layers all the way up to the surface.

at the end you mentioned that you got 2 bottomless water buckets and tried to shimmer it, but it didn't work. you got 2 because you were super lucky, and they can be shimmered in a vanilla recipe into a bottomless shimmer bucket post-moonlord

You should add calamity's vanities, the calamity texture pack, and calamity wrath of the gods (at least calamity's vanities for extra blocks to build with.

the type of glowing moss that generates depends on your world and there is no way to get green glowing moss unless you make a new world

You should keep the pink moss and make the vegetation plantera themed
