Where is Aaron Kyro???? We got this question a lot over the last year and at long last, we give you the answers from the man himself! We could not be more excited for the future of Braille and skateboarding itself. Thank you all for being a part of our journey. Let us know what videos you want Aaron to film!

I’m over 50 and just bought my first board and another for my kid. We’re learning together-at least for as long as he’s willing to be seen with me. As a fitness instructor, getting people out there is so important-inspiring individuals to find something that sparks a genuine love for moving and an appreciation for what your body can do (and learn to do) without it feeling like a chore…This has always been how I’ve viewed fitness. Carry on & proper! What you’re doing IS important work.

A professional who dedicated their career to teaching others rather than traveling the country/world making money with their skill. He spreads his skill throughout the community and expands it. He might not be the same level as the “tour pro” but is better than most and has the experience and personality to give to the younger generation.

Hey Aaron. I'm a neuroscientist and professor in San Diego who subscribed to your channel several years ago. I think it was just after Gabe showed up--little Gabe with the high voice! I'm over 50 years old now and have always been a mediocre skater. So I learned quite a few things from you about some of my lacking fundamentals. But I also always thought what you were doing here was bigger than that, because you were bringing in people to a new community, getting them to try new things and learn new things, ans changing their brains in ways that would serve them in the future. And you were getting them excited about something. You're essentially a professor of skateboarding! I appreciate the heart-felt sentiment of your apology, but you should know that you've never stopped doing that. I'm glad you're feeling more aligned with your greater purpose in life (psychologists call that "self-actualizing"), and I happen to know after watching you for so many years that you're exactly the right man for the job! No one can do the eclectic mix of things that you do. So, take pride. And yes, seeing your current skills lag behind your previous ones is tough to watch, but don't forget that those are only some skill areas. You have grown and developed in new ways that beat the pants off of anything you could have done before when you were better at some things. Your knowledge and wisdom is far superior. Thanks for everything you do! Here's to you renewing your vows in your marriage to skateboarding and to teaching others! May you have many more happy years together! 🥂

Aaron, Your videos have helped so many people learn to skate, but they've done so much more than that. I'm 26, I only started skating a little before the Covid lockdowns, and I was always afraid to try skating. I was always so incredibly interested but I'm a big guy and I was always scared of falling or breaking things, or that there wasn't a board for people my size. It was Braille that finally got me to start, and yeah I fell a lot, and it took some time to find a board that worked for me, but I kept trying. Now I'm confident on a board cruising around, even if I don't really do any tricks, and that confidence has bled into other areas of my life. There were so many things that I wanted to try, and so many ways that I wanted to express myself that I was afraid to do and I think that my journey in skating has taught me to go out and try, whether it works out or not. Heck I am of the opinion that your videos were a factor in me having the confidence to propose to my now husband. This channel and what you do matters so much, and the fact that you had to take a little time to figure out what you needed to do with it is no problem at all. I love you guys and I am so excited to see the future of Braille with everyone here. From the depths of my heart, thank you.

This is honestly the best news I’ve heard in ages. I do find the wacky board videos entertaining, but I think the bread and butter of Braille is tutorials, skate supports and today I learned. I’m so excited to see more of these kinds of videos. And it’ll be awesome to see more of Aaron again. Just as a side note, I do credit Braille for me getting into skateboarding. I first picked up a board in the early 2000s. But much like Aaron, I was in a part of the world with no other skaters, the internet wasn’t really a thing yet and I really had no access to any information. I was literally trying to teach myself by watching the motions of the OG THPS game. Unlike Aaron though, after months of making zero progress, I got frustrated and walked away from skateboarding. Fast forward roughly 15 years. I stumbled upon one of your tutorials (I think it might have been an Ollie video). You made it look so easy and explained everything so clearly. I was hooked. I was actually working night shift that night and ended up spending the majority of my 12 hour shift watching as many of your videos as I could. That weekend I bought a board. It’s been a slow and sometimes frustrating process trying to learn to skate it my 30s, surrounded by 12 year olds who seem to be able to pick up new tricks in minutes when it takes me months (or years). But every time I give it up, a few weeks later I’ll stumble upon another Braille video and it motivates me to give it another go. Thanks very much guys.

Actually, the thing that got me back into skating more recently was the videos you guys did with Rob Scallon. After giving up on skating as a kid I got way more into music, so that crossover really reignited my interest in skateboarding. That honestly might be the best way to reach new people, bringing other KZreadrs who skate but aren’t known for being skaters onto the channel and exposing their audiences to it

I skated back in the late 90's and early 2000's. During early covid lockdowns, i found braille on KZread and it made me ask myself, " I love skateboarding, why did you ever stop?" This September will be 2 years back on the board and i can say that because of the tutorials you guys post, I have learned so many new things that i did not do when i was 16. I will be 37 in September and I am way better than i was at 16! So all we can say is, Thank You! Its much harder to watch a VHS video part and try to learn tricks by what you see, or still progression photos in Thrasher than to watch a Braille tutorial. There is a reason we are seeing 13 year olds that are turning pro more frequently. Access to information!

I hope to meet you Aaron someday, and you've probably heard this before, but it was because of you and the original "easiest way" videos that got me back into skateboarding. I didn't even remember your name but I knew there was a reliable source who was giving free content on how to learn the basics. I came from basketball, which is a worldwide sport and coaches everywhere can teach you the basics. But skateboarding had such a steep learning curve that it felt impossible. Between 2013-2017 I was big into skateboarding (and following the vids) and even though I've tapered off and to focus on work/church goals I come back to Braille to see what's up. Thanks a thousand for all the projects. -Andrew V.

My philosophy with skating has always been “If you’re smiling, you’re doing it right.” So as long as it’s a fun experience for you, it’s worthwhile in my book. You’ve had an incredible impact on our sport, both by making skating more accesible and keeping true to the “Skater” mentality of having fun while seeing and using things differently than they could have ever been intended for. I'm not a skater. I ride bmx, but I'll always have a deep love for skaters. I love what braille does for skateboarding. There was a video you posted where you coached a kid learning a kickflip. That video was soo effin' powerful! At the beginning you can almost see their doubt, you could see the fear of letting you down... By the end of the video this kid landed a kickflip, shocking themself. That is so powerful. And YOU guys did that! Skateboarding is a lesson about yourself. Every time you skate. You can't get these lessons from a textbook. Your friends, parents, teachers.. they can't teach that. Don't feel wrong by deviating from your initial goal.. you do excellent things for other humans. The world truly needs more of that! Lol, also I just realized this vid is 10 mo. Old... My message still stands.

I’m not even a skate boarding fan, but you’re the only skate channel I watch from time to time and truly enjoy, the content is fun and light hearted and different that in my mind it’s worth watching people just do what they like to do.

Aaron, we love you man! You are awesome, and such an inspiration to millions worldwide. I remember being 13 years old and wanting to learn how to Ollie and simply searching it up on KZread and your video was the first one I saw back in 2014. I remember binge watching videos everyday and being so entertained with your positivity and kindness. It is amazing seeing how far Braille has gone, I’m 20 now, and time flies. Thank you Aaron Kyro and Braille!

Time flies by so fast, I used to watch you everyday back in highschool when I was still skateboarding. The thrill and enjoyment I get when learning new tricks will forever be etched in my heart and mind. Thank you! You're one of the reasons why I had the motivation to continue skateboarding and learning tricks back then.
