My anxiety definitely comes in waves, and I find that avoiding the news as much as possible and just focusing on my work (from home) and my toddler make it easier to deal with.. in canada we are really lucky to have the support and reassurance from our government, and employment insurance for people like my husband who have been laid off temporarily. It's a scary time for everyone, and everyone has been affected negatively in some way.. I try not to count the days we have until it's over because when it changes and is pushed farther back, it just makes it that much harder. Lots of love 😘

My husband just got laid off today, and we just bought our house last month. We should be okay financially but this was totally a punch to the stomach for me. He’s never been between jobs before so I’m trying to use this time as a break for him until this is all over and he can find something else

You are so sweet and caring. This time is insane and overwhelming. Try to remember that none of is are in control and that for now it has to be ok. You can’t take on the weight of the world. It's very hard and when you get overwhelmed remember and focus on the positive that you talked about. One day at a time. Your children are very young and they may miss how they were able to do things but they will thrive now also doing things with you and with each other. Keep the faith! It’s been so hard.... celebrating my sons 6th birthday, with no one but us, is a huge one to swallow - he already knew about his party and who was coming. It’s the same over here since Mid-March... school is being canceled for the year, can’t see grandma/grandpa anymore....we told our kids the earth is sick and healing right now, and because the earth is SO big it takes a lot longer than when we are sick. I'm in Australia. I went to the shop yesterday for the first time in a month. I wore gloves and a mask and took my own bag. When I got back to my car I binned them and sanitised my hands. When I got home I put my shoes at the door and washed my clothes and my hands. I'm petrified I've got 3 young kids and my husband is at sea. The anxiety is real. We only have so much room in that part of our brains that has our “ stress-reserves”. One. Day. At. A. Time.. I’m a mom of 4 , and we can only do the best we can do, and be calm for our children. Stress makes our immune systems take a dip. I keep having to force my mind away from the “ what if’s”.....

I’m so glad you are sharing how you feel. When we can talk about our fears it takes the power out of it and also as you can see by your comments you are not alone! I work in healthcare so I am just trying to limit news. I check 2 x a day and then I try and read happy news stories. So many people helping each other. I don’t know if this is possible but for my grand daughters birthday her friends all drive their cars by the house honking horns and waving poster boards. It made her so happy. I also had a gift sent via Amazon for her to open each day a week leading up to her birthday. Maybe your kids could FaceTime or zoom their friends to connect. I know it is scary and we all are trying to put on a brave face and then as you did today we have to let it out! One day at a time we will get through this and be stronger on the other side. Also what about you having a girlfriend FaceTime in the evenings? People are getting creative in connecting with others. God made us to have relationship with others so all this aloneness is just not healthy for us! I so enjoy watching you be a Mommy. What a blessing you are and your little family is so adorable. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and bringing a baby into this world at a time like this is very scary!! Our toddler won’t be able to see us until we come home and it breaks my heart! My husband is the only one allowed at the hospital the whole time we are there. Sunday I’m being induced and just praying for everything to go well and get us back home to stay inside where it’s safe and hopefully keep everyone healthy! You are doing great mama!!! I’m about to give birth to my 3rd boy any day now and it’s absolutely terrifying. Hubby is still working so I will be all alone with a 3 yr old a 2 yr old and a newborn with no visitors. It’s heartbreaking

I see you and hear you. This is an emotional time and we have never experienced anything like it. It will continue for some time to come. The next few weeks when the peak comes is going to be brutal. The death toll is going to be so difficult to comprehend. We need to support each other and stay home. It is so scary.

I'm very sorry this is happening to you. I will add you to my prayer list. Take refuge in Christ. The government is satanic and they are starting to crack down on freedom of speech so that people like myself can't expose them. So I'm trying to expose them as much as possible before they remove all the information I've collected. They may even take down the net or at least people like myself will lose connection and that will leave people one option - THEIR news, which is literally fake. They use what are called "crisis actors".... Enforcing loved ones to die alone is something only the devil would do. Martial law will be enforced probably soon. When a "time of peace" appears be skeptical.

All we can do is just keep moving forward. I don't watch the news, I do think it just causes more anxiety. And I also don't want little ears hearing. Right now we are trying to keep things as normal as possible, schedules that first week were crazy but otherwise its been somewhat normal. My kids are missing sports the most, lol.

My husband owns a restaurant and I stay home with our 3 girls, to say we are struggling would be a understatement. We are terrified, and the only job I can do to help is a grocery store , but that is a risk I don’t want to take with having 3 little kids . This whole situation sucks

Make a grocery list, go to store once a week, don’t browse, get your stuff and leave as fast as you can. They want us in and out as soon as possible. We will get through this, scary yes, but we are all in the same boat. Your not alone.💕💕🇨🇦

It is really hard when your littles want to do what they usually do and they can't. I'm due the end of summer and hoping this will be simmering down by then, but the process has definitely been effected. I would normally let my husband and kids go with me to appts, but they don't want me to and my oldest doesnt understand. It is really scary. I hope if it gets worse people will come together and help each other get through 😔

Just think of it this way. You don’t know if it’s true or not. Yea maybe some actually are sick, but you don’t know if that’s the case. My uncle recently passed away due to a heart attack. And they told us he had the virus. But really that wasn’t it because he had a heart attack and we told them why are you saying and writing that he died of corona virus when they specifically told me he had a heart attack and they just said “we were told to write that in any death that’s happened we have to write it’s corona virus when really it’s not”

It's just an awful time for everyone all over the world, no 2 ways about it. I have a lot of the same worries as you and feel extremely lucky to be at home with my kids and to be managing OK financially. Just being extra careful with spending money. Here in the UK we're on lockdown and I don't expect my kids to be back in school til September :(

I feel irritable, anxious and depressed over this. Very sad.

My husbands jobs got put on pause as well, he is a small business vendor as well. It sucks, without knowing what the future holds. That’s the only source of income for us too since I am at home raising 3 kids. I don’t know what to tell you, we are trying to be strong too as much as I am excited to have him home to help I would rather he is out making income. Just hoping it won’t last too long. I am constantly trying to entertain the kids too we have been loving to going to the woods and on walks, but they closed all public parks even trails in Florida. Which totally sucks that was one place my kids loved to go and we would have picnics.

MamaBear they are applying for it but don’t believe that have gotten anything yet. My husband and I were both layed off and applied over a month ago and still haven’t gotten an answer yet, but every week we have to re apply. We call the help lines for unemployment and they tell you there are not enough representatives to get to you and hang up. We have two boys 2 and under and live paycheck to paycheck. We work hard and always have for everything we have: I’m not trying to be rude but just want you to know what’s it’s actually like going through this. Everything has been ripped out from under the working class. It’s not what the president and other officials make it sound like during the briefings.

Keep calling about your unemployment. Also the stimulus check will help a lot! Hang in there. It's hard for all of us. I'm in your boat too!

I am a Christian and I know Jesus. I also have uncertainty and fear. I am human. I trust the Lord but I still have waves of sadness and emotions. Lets not judge but love and support each other. As Christ would.
