Fellow expat in NL here 🙋🏻♀ Wishing you all the very best on this next chapter of your life! Loneliness is indeed a real deal here.. so it's pretty bada$$ of you to give it another shot. Looking forward to the NL videos!

I have been in some other countries as well. To be completely honest, it can be lonely in a lot of places unfortunately. But yeah, even as a native, I also don't "vibe" particularly well. 😄😇
Welcome back Elise! When you explained why you went back to the UK i completely understood, however this step seems to make perfectly sense as well. I hope you'll have a great time living in the Hague!
Both The Hague and Amsterdam are very international. It must be fairly easy to meet English people in both cities. Welcome back!
Glad you're coming back Lieverd. Hopefully I will run into you and Chris in The Hague one time. Good luck to you both.
Excellent girl. Go for it. Pleased you're coming bsck.
Best of luck to both of you !
Best of luck with your move in June. 😊
This sounds really well thought out 💪 Good luck!
That's certainly an unexpected twist to your story (at least, with the information I got from your earlier videos). Good luck, and welcome to our small country once again:) I hope this time things will work out better for you.
In Amsterdam you'll be able to interact more with non-Dutch people, I think. I'm not saying The Hague doesn't have an international community, but still... Hearing you, Amsterdam is where you're most likely to end up. Anyway, wherever you two have decided to go, welcome back.
Well, I surely didn't see that one coming. I really hope your second try goes better than the first one. Good luck.
Admit it, you just really really miss all of us here 😜 Hope your next experience here is gonna be better for you. Moving to a new, more international city might help both of you, and the Netherlands is small enough so that friends are still close by. Good luck with the move and the search!
Welcome back Elise! Your story sounds solid but looking at you telling the story I still can see a little doubt! Keep the faith girl, you can do this! 👍
l was following you back in the UK before moving to the Netherlands (almost 2 years ago now), so that's exciting news:) Happy for your two! hope you find it easier this time. Really curious if you're tricking us and that in the end you gonna move to Eindhoven or a city we are not expecting haha.
I'm very socially awkward (diagnosed with pdd-nos (Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified) autism when i was young) I always had trouble interacting with (dutch) people. I was lucky to have some great friends from a young age that always stuck with me, but if that was not the case i don't think i would have managed here. In the last 10 years i've travelled all over the world and learn so much about communicating with people that no one considers me autistic anymore. I still notice that i have more trouble communicating with (new) people than most others, and that people find my way of interacting weird, but i have learned to ignore all that and i"m growing into/ becoming a team leader in my job now. I'm getting comfortable when interacting with people, and i've gotten all these skills from a very select few of dutch people, and mostly from travelling, but many dutch people seem to be very closed off to people that think different, and it is very hard to make friends with a dutch person i think (maybe it is just easier to talk to people as a tourist though) but still, despite all of that, i think i"m right where i'm supposed to be here in the Netherlands. People are overall open minded and progressive and i can't imagine my life being much better in any other country.
Just as lovely as always. So nice to see your excitement again to move back, even though it was quite a surprise 😂 I really hope you feel yourself more grounded in The Hague or Amsterdam (although as a Dutchie I would choose Utrecht over those two, but still can understand your choice)
Good luck! Enjoy living in Amsterdam!
Welcome back ;-)
Just be happy thats all that counts
That's great, but how about a place between the Netherlands and the United Kingdom? Perhaps the Principality of Sealand? 😁😉

Not many internationals about on the old sea rig ;o)
Happy for both of you! So very nice together. A cliffhanger! Looking forward to coming videos with decisions made 🎉
It was really interesting, dank u wel, mevrouw :)
Welkom terug 😊 keertje een koffietje doen in de buurt? (er vanuit gaan dat je in Amsterdam gaat wonen 😉)
If you don't find Utrecht international enough, yeah that doesn't leave a whole lot of other cities to the imagination. 😄😄 I do find it interesting. It's only 20 min train ride away. Btw, why not both? Couple of months in the lowerlands and a couple of months in Bristol?

Utrecht is the number 4 when it comes to cities, so you're right. It would be Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Den Haag.
I’ll miss you so much! :(
i love this video
Good choice, we Dutchies love you more❤😂
Hope everything works out for the 2 of you. All the rest is not important. Welkom terug?
Move to Breda , because it's a different vibe here then in the rest of the Country 😅
It's surely Groningen 😜
Ahhh, just live your life you want to live either in the UK or NL or else...but welcome back! X
Welcome back to the continent. When's the moving in party? :D
I really hope you chose Den Haag. This city is maybe not as spectacular as Amsterdam, but so much more comfortable to live in with all the parks, space and the sea. And incredibly international with all the international institutions. It lacks a lot of drunk and stoned tourists that speak fluent English though 😉
I'm also British and I live in Amsterdam and all my friends are international . Dutch people havnt really clicked for me so far but hasn't stopped me loving living here and never speaking a word of Dutch 😂
